Well no way if i ever marry am i going to think, my husband is the head. Its a partnership. And as for submitting... im thinking this is about having sex right?.... well ill have sex when i feel like it not when its demanded of me
Great armchair quarterback. . .good 20/20 hindsight. . .
I'm sticking with the way the account does down in Scripture. . .
Both Adam and Eve were guilty of rebellion. . .Eve was deceived about it, but Adam was not. . .Eve was the first in transgression, not Adam. . .
I'm not sure what your issue is with the Biblical account. . .and frankly. . . .

In one case, the wife is a believer and is governed by the word of God which instructs her that her husband is her head justas Christ is the head of the church.
In the other case, the wife is not a believer, and cannot be expected to submit to the word of God.
Therefore, the believing husband must simply do the best with his wife who does not submit to the word of God.

It's not like Adam was off taking a nap and Eve snuck away to go see the Serpent in the garden. Adam stood and watched as she was being deceived. Yes Adam wasn't. I don't know where this idea of me saying he was is coming from. I've been saying Adam stood by and watched Eve sin. And since Adam was supposed to lead, he is just as much responsible, if not more, than Eve, since God directly spoke to Adam. Eve wasn't first in the transgression. Adam was guilty with her the moment she fell into the sin, because Adam stood there and watched.

Again. . .yes. . .Adam rebelled. . .and because of Adam's rebellion (not Eve's). . .all mankind is born in rebellion and enemies of God (Ro 5:10).
Eve is responsible for her own sin, just as under the law of our land, each is responsible for his own behavior and unlawful actions.
And ignorance of the law grants no exception to it.

By saying this, doesn't that go against what quite a few folks on here think submission is? That a man has complete authority over the woman? I think that statement contradicts quite a few I've read on here. And it'd be so much easier to go through the previous 232 comments if I had a computer to point out said comments.

Why are there quotation marks around "he"? And why emphasize and put a lot in bold letters? What is it that you say I'm not understanding, and what is it you're trying to be patronizing (from what I read, at least) about?
If you are talking about JSR then he understands quite a lot. He knows how to respect women and he knows how to not make them feel like worthless trash while still speaking truth.
