Lost my cellphone.

Just recently bought a snazzy phone case for it and it was a replacement phone.
so

..........................

I am definitely not feeling this situation right now.
Thinking I left it at the store the other day, when that one person mumbled something to me that I couldn't really comprehend.

I am not buying a new phone.

I am going to invent a new cell phone if that has to happen.

I am going to go to the rainforest and pick a random fruit off of a tree and smear paint on my face and stand on top of a mountain and wait for lightning to strike it so it gives me all of those great new features, internet, wifi, and all of those fancy apps that I never use.

And then when I'm done, I am going to take a fish, and fillet it's scales and super glue them to the outside of the makeshift phone and it will then have a waterproofing ability.

Then I am going to take a Spanish-English-French-Norwegian- Mandarin-Gaelic Dictionary, and burn it,

and sprinkle the ashes over it and I will have a dictionary app.

Oh the things I would do if I lived off of the land.
But.......

I don't.
And I have to live a life where I have to be thoroughly connected to technology
Or people will think that there's something wrong with me.

:D

I have decided that I will go to the store and embarrass myself now :)
This makes me sad. :( I loved your cellphone case too.

One of my favorite TV moments:

Jim: Are you playing that game again?

Dwight: It's not a game, Jim. It does not have points or scores, it does not have winners or losers.

Jim: Oh it has losers.

That awkward moment at a public pool when you look up and think, "huh. I didn't realize lululemon had a men's swimwear line."

I am sorry that you lost your phone. Were you able to find it at the store?

The weight I gained in developing this bread was worth it. I sold all of my loaves.

Phone is still missing.
I refuse to buy another one.
I should just tell people to email me instead every time they want to get a hold of me .

The neighborhood storm siren has been going off for ages now. Please someone make it stop! It sounds like WW3 is about to start right overhead. If a tornado is coming... let's get it over with already.

Also, I am brain-fried from VBS planning. Schedule conflicts and scripts and not enough time for anything and multi-use rooms and ahhhhhh... I need some tranquilizers!

Speaking of brain-fry ... I'm craving a plate of fried goat brains now. :(

P.S. I am sure your 'organizing ninja' skills can help you pull off this VBS. May God be with you, Nagie. :)

Meanwhile in my life...

Have you ever been in a situation where a person who you once trusted has hurt you a lot and you keep going back to them? It is like a moth drawn to a flame. It has been a few months since I broke up with my ex but I occasionally find myself missing her even though she is now with another guy. Somewhere, deep down, a small part of me is still unable to accept what has happened. I end up calling or texting her just to talk to her for a few minutes but it only adds to the hurt.

In fact, by nature, I am more receptive to pain than I am receptive to happiness. So when something hurts me, I am drawn to it over and over again, even though I know that it is not good for me. How do I stop myself from revisiting the hurt?

Aww.. I'm doing well, thanks. I've had a lot going on in life lately and it's just hard to get back into the swing of keeping up here. I hope I haven't missed too much ! I love all you guys though and hope all is well around the singles forum.

My organizing ninja skills should be pretty honed after this crazy year.

And yes... I know exactly what you are going through with your ex. You text them in a weak moment, and kick yourself after, and then do it again and who knows why? It's frustrating and heartbreaking. I wish there was an easy answer for it. I think it helps to recognize the trigger for it. When are you tempted to contact her? What feelings cause it? Then once you know the answer to those questions, start focusing on finding something ELSE you can do during those times instead of contacting her. If it's a spot of loneliness causing it, then when you sense yourself getting lonely you can have a plan in place so that you don't fall back into the habit. You know? Hope it helps. It's a rough place to be.

I don't think you have missed much. If I am to be believed, all is well around the forum EXCEPT for your cupcakes which went missing for a while.

Thank you for the advice. I am tempted to contact her when I want to talk about something which is important to me. I guess I have to make a new close friend with whom I can share everything. I am also going to spend more time in prayer and Bible reading.
