I listened to someone in the lounge saying how she had elected to be an organ donor if she died. I thought that was so good and wanna do the same. I hope no one ever gets the chance to use my organs but things happen. Then someone in the room said my idea was from Satan n that this was against GODs plan. I think that's nonsense but wondered. .. would u want your organs donated if you died suddenly

I have never heard of organ donation being a sin. Then again, the first transplant happened in 1954, I believe.

While some sections and beliefs restrict this for reasons of their own (assuming that you bumped into someone who may be under such branch), I don't see the issue if the person has been deceased agreeing towards it while they were alive.

To answer the last question...probably not. I am messed up as it is, so I doubt that anyone would want my organs since I'm not the healthiest being around.

I'm an organ donor. And an organ recipient. Received a new kidney for Christmas in 2012.
My mom died waiting for new organs when I was younger.

It's one of those things that are left up to the individual but definitely can be used for God's purpose. It's up to you. You'll be dead anyway what does it matter?

I don't think the idea of donating an organ is from satan or that it's against God's plan. Yes, I would donate my organs once I die. Like Kingerik said, it can be used for God's purpose, the organ that you donated might be the one saving someone's life who is meant to live on for God's ministry.

To say you are an organ donor means you must have already made a legally recognizable decision to do so. I know in many states here it is listed on your drivers license that you are a donor.
And yes, my immediate family knows of my choice, and it's quite possible they are all listed as donors as well as it was their own mother, or wife, they lost also.

Yes, I'm an organ donor. I won't need them when I'm with Jesus. But you'll have to wait. I'm not giving them up beforehand.

My BIBLE says "Greater love hath no man than to lay down his life for another".....When we donate our organs, while alive or dead to give someone else a chance of a longer life....how dare someone else instantly raise a red flag. If my blood, my kidney, my liver, my lung or heart or any other part of my body helps heal or prolong someone else's life....instead of me taking my body parts to the grave to rot, I will proudly continue to keep my organ donor card in my wallet.

I've never read anything that would suggest donating your organs is against God's plan. I personally would love to donate my organs but am kind of afraid, to because my dad told me a story about how when he was younger his sister was dying and they were more concerned with getting her to become an organ donor and sign papers than saving her and when she did agree they had stopped trying. I've done some research on my own amd couldn't find anything saying doctors don't try as hard with organ donors, and my dads story may have been affected by his emotions, but I still am afraid to become an organ donor after hearing it. I do think its a very noble decision to become an organ donor though!

perhaps 13,000 people were 'terminated' for their organs last year, 'for profit'(by the harvesters) a bit 'earlier' than they thought.......

like child traffikking , it's very hush hush undercover and covered up.

children, teens, and young and old women and men are paid for organs in other countries, before they die.

tens of thousands of them. and the organs are sold to the rich, through the rich medical 'authorities' doing it.

in the untied states, in medical school, the medical students are taught in the first year that only 1 out of TEN surgeries (i.e. 10%) that the patients are told are needed is necessary ---- it's been that way and/or worse since about 1940. the other 90% are unnecessary but highly profitable. and the patient isn't told by the surgeon the truth or the options they have. if the patient goes to other non-surgical specialists, they may find out on their own, if they happen to 'think of it'(getting a second opinion, plus some).

And I hope the one who said it was from Satan does not donate his or her organs, especially the brain and the heart! The brain don't sound complete and the heart is hardened, lacking care.

I haven't done the legal procedures for it yet, but I will in the future. Neither have I talked to my family about it, need to do that as well but I'm pretty sure they would accept my decision.

Human traffic: exposing the brutal organ trade -- New Internationalist

"As it is covert behaviour, it is difficult to know with any degree of certainty how many people are actually trafficked for their kidneys, but a conservative estimate, based on original research by Organs Watch, is that at least 10,000 kidneys are sold each year. Human trafficking for organs is a relatively small and contained problem, one that could be dealt with efficiently with the political will to do so."

just the tip of the iceberg. (cbs, oeta, 60 minutes) online a lot of reports about black market and

what the fda isN'T doing, worldwide and usa --- it's far far worse today than almost anyone thought it was.

plus the 'standard' medical and surgical journals .... the ones licensed doctors get from med school on.... get some if you can, and see what they DON'T tell you, but they all know....

Hi Jeff. There is definitely an underground organ donation business, preying on the poor particularly in developing nations. If everyone donated their organs when they die there would be not be a reason to have underground organ businesses. So become an organ donor, give so someone can live, and help end black market trade. Tell your family of your choice Jeff
