weelll...it's never hot here at Christmas. but it may be warm enough for just a sweater outdoors,
or there may be 3 feet of snow. (*like* lol)
last year was the former, thank God, because my mom was here from southern
North Carolina, and though she lived the majority of her life above the 42nd parallel (N),
she has quite a bit to say about cold weather these days.
sigh...mothers.
i know my kiddos say that, too. it's the circle of life, or something.

Oh well, sounds like none of yall knows how Christmas is like above the 69th parallel (N...for those unsure...lol)...
Where was I? Oh! Yes. Christmas in the Arctic...cold (down to -20F) goes without saying...but add darkness 24(allmost)/7 for months and harsh winds...and youll get an idea...and Ellie, I think yo mama woulda said alot about the weather here

when the kids were here yesterday, our son-in-law said our grandson
wakes when the sun comes up; sleeps when the sun goes down.
i said, me, too, and that's why i like winter.
(but that much darkness? you're my hero!)
