Dear 3-Score-and-10:

Also, Jesus said you cannot serve two masters. John says he that commits sin is of the devil. Yet, you are saying you will be in service to both God and sin the rest of your life. Yet, Jesus said you cannot have two masters. Joshua says choose this day whom ye will serve. It cannot be both. You are either for serving God alone or the devil and sin alone? There is no way we can serve both God and sin. It doesn't work like that.

In 2 Timothy 3:1-9, we see Paul mention that there are false believers who have a form of Godliness but they deny the power thereof. Paul then lists various sins attached to them. So... no. We know for a fact that believers cannot abide in sin as a way of life and still be saved. Also, Peter says the same thing. In 2 Peter 2:1, 14, he says there are certain false prophets (believers) who have eyes full of adultery who cannot cease from sin.

1 John 1:8 is in context to 1 John 1:9 and 1 John 1:6-7.

1 John 1:6 says if we say we have fellowship with him and walk in darkness we lie and do not the truth. This is repeated in more clearer words in the next chapter where John says if we say know him and do not keep his commandments we are a liar (See 1 John 2:3-6).

1 John 1:7 says if we walk in the light as he is in the light, then the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin. It is not.... if we walk in darkness or sin.... then the blood cleanses us. No, no. The passage does not say that.

Anyways, when we read 1 John 1:8, based on the context of the epistle we understand that verse 8 is a warning written to believers about those false believers trying to deceive them that they have no sin on a spiritual level. In other words, these false believers that John was warning the brethren about believed in an extreme form of Antinomianism (Where sin did not exist to them on any level). This is sort of similar belief that is being pushed by many in false churches today. For they say they have no sin debt because Jesus paid the price for all their sins (Past, present, and future). So they are forgiven on a spiritual level eternally. They have no sin spiritually. But what is tricky and deceptive about what they believe is that they will admit that they sin physically. But we know that the sin here is speaking spiritually. For the epistle does not ever clarify that the sins being forgiven here are physical in nature only. In fact, we know that John is speaking spiritually of life and death thru out his entire epistle. He says he that does not love does not know God. He says that whosoever hates his brother is a murderer and we know no murderer has eternal life abiding within them.

The true believer will not say they have no sin spiritually like the Antinomian today. They will confess their sin so as to be forgiven of their sin as 1 John 1:9 says. But the Antinomian today denies what 1 John 1:9 says, though. It is the one verse (among many) that they ignore.
For the last time and maybe it will sink into your head.....NO ONE IS SAYING, IMPLYING, STATING, TEACHING that we can LIVE IN SIN AND A LIFESTYLE OF SIN.....QUIT BEING DECEPTIVE!

Telling people to obey Jesus is never wrong. You make it sound like it is bad to obey our Lord. For can Jesus be a person's Lord and not do what He says? According to Jesus this would be a no......... .
they can't hear. they can't see. remember jesus told simon barjonah how he knew, so likewise that's what it will take - no amount of reading, study, forum posts, prayer, or anything else will
make it so
they can see, or so they can hear.

2nd: Jesus told His disciples to listen to the << "bad guys" >> when they read MOSES, and do as they say when they read MOSES, but don't do as they do, because their lives are evil.

because MOSES is all about JESUS (JESUS says).

and no one can receive anything unless the FATHER GRANTS IT FROM HEAVEN. ((no understanding, no knowledge, no wisdom, no power, no worldly supplies; UNLESS ..... ))

so, those who don't get it, can't get it, U N L E S S.......... the FATHER wills....

Another assumed and attributed lie.......NO ONE BELIEVES WHAT YOU ARE POSTING as that is not what is being said....You know what....there have been at least 10 people confront you on this and you LIE every time and attribute things not said or implied....I really suggest you biblically check you salvation as the devil added to what was said and twisted what is said and that is exactly what you do!

I am not being deceptive.

Many here have admitted that:

1. You can be out of fellowship (no doubt because of sin) and you can still be saved.
2. You will never be able to stop sinning.
3. You can sin, then die before confessing that sin (or expressing sorrow over that sin to God), and still be saved.
4. You can commit suicide and still be saved.
5. Future sin is forgiven for a believer (Which leads a person to think that they can have a "license to sin").
6. No believer can throw away salvation or reject Christ.
7. Believers sin in the flesh but there is no sin laid to their charge spiritually.

When I quote Scripture and what it really says and when I tell people that they need to follow Jesus,.... people get upset.

Jeff I suggest you take a step back and pay attention...as no one is saying to serve sin or live in sin and he constantly twists what is said and attributes things not said nor implied.........and everyone who states that they never sin are LIARS and the truth is not in them...so do you sin every now and then or are you a liar and the truth is not in you.....that goes for all of you that are twisting the facts of what is being said and the OP....either you sin every now and then or you are liars and the truth is not in you...which is it????????????????????????????????

It is what I had written myself. I am just repeating what I said before; And if it was untrue, then surely you would be able to refute what was on that list. But we both know you will not be able to do that, though.

It is if they already are and you are assuming they are not. It's called bearing false witness. We weren't called to be the behavior police. We were called to make disciples. How many disciples have you made that have stuck around for more than a week?

The human body is not wicked.

The human body is merely a means of temptation. Jesus was born into a flesh body just like we are and had all the associated passions and desires.

If one is to claim that the human body is wicked like the poster above then they either are claiming Jesus was wicked or that His flesh was somehow different.

It's actually far worse then you think

Apparently, God says this:

There is no one righteous, not even one;
11there is no one who understands;
there is no one who seeks God.
12All have turned away,
they have together become worthless;
there is no one who does good,
not even one.”[SUP]b[/SUP]
13“Their throats are open graves;
their tongues practice deceit.”[SUP]c[/SUP]
“The poison of vipers is on their lips.”[SUP]d[/SUP]
14“Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.”[SUP]e[/SUP]
15“Their feet are swift to shed blood;
16ruin and misery mark their ways,
17and the way of peace they do not know.”[SUP]f[/SUP]
18“There is no fear of God before their eyes.”[SUP]g[/SUP]

19Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. 20Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.

And since He makes mention of it in both testaments....I think He means it

oops

Paul did correct wrong behavior in the church. He told the Corinthian church to kick out the man who was committing adultery amongst them. Paul had a lot to say about problems in the church. So no, you are misinformed about what the New Testament plainly says.

But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify.22This righteousness is given through faith in[SUP]h[/SUP] Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile,23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement,[SUP]i[/SUP] through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— 26he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.27Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. Because of what law? The law that requires works? No, because of the law that requires faith. 28For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law. 29Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too, 30since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith. 31Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.

FAITH DECLARES THE LAW FULFILLED AND GOD DECLARES US RIGHTEOUS

Abraham was declared righteous because of his faith...See how good God is in mentionning that to help us understand?

It doesn't matter if you think I am a Paul or not. The point is that Paul did act as behavior police towards his brethren (of which you said is not the case for us believers). Paul is nobody more special than say anyone else. He was just a man who yielded to God. It was Jesus Christ within Him who did the work and made Paul great.

Hebrews 11 we see Abraham takes action as a part of his faith amongst other believers.

Yeah after he was rendered legally INNOCENT by faith.....of course you reject the definition of justified because your works for salvation wont allow you to accept the truth!

Paul used the word fornication/fornicator...not adulterer...maybe you should learn the difference and quote scripture correctly...oh that's right....I forgot....you use the version according to Jason. And the verse you reference is a prime example of eternal salvation...Deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh so the SPIRIT MAY BE SAVED in the day of the Lord Jesus! WAKE UP to the truth!
