Feels like I've wasted a whole nother day on the internet. It's both a blessing and a curse.

I wandered into the Bible Discussion Forum again. Yep. That was a mistake.

It would be more accurately named, "Cave of Misogynist Attack Wolves."

Went on a bikeride in beautimous Illinois weather.
I am not correcting my spelling.
I dislike wind also.

I will not become a baseball mom.
NEVER.

Why yes it does. White cake topped with delicious, mouth-watering strawberries. Now, that would be delicious.
The only problem is that it wouldn't be a cake walk to burn off the calories or maybe it would:confused: I know a bad joke

It really doesn't take much to get us on the subject of food for a protracted amount of time.

It's raining! Woo! Sorry Zero (but not really). Too bad my running shoes were left outside to dry...lol. They're soaked now. I so wanted to go run at the creek while it's coming down. Oh well.

I'm so restless I did some silent house cleaning. I mopped the bathroom floors until there wasn't any dirt left and cleaned the sink/counter area, and I cleaned my room up a little bit. It looks like a disaster area, and you could barely see the floor (one year later and I STILL can't figure out where to put everything!!) so I had to do something about that. Why at 12-1 in the morning, you may ask? I have no clue.

Actually it's a pretty common human reaction to emotional stress. It's a way to keep too busy to think about what you don't want to think about. But hey if it helps, you go girl and I hope the people in your house appreciate all the cleaning.

Oh and hugs and extra hugs. I think those have a stress lowering effect too.

It did help! And it sure did make me feel better about the state of our bathroom, and I'm sure when my sister and her husband get back from vacay they'll appreciate it. If there is one thing in this world I will absolutely, positively NOT EVER ON THIS EARTH stand for is a dirty bathroom. Can't stand them at all. Everything else can be chaos but the bathroom? Oh, no. Never the bathroom. lol

Thanks for the hugs! I'll gladly take those. :)

Well I've got a bathroom in pretty desperate need of cleaning here. I'm willing to pay in hugs (and food and a place to stay as it's a rather long trip :p )

The difference between cinder and normal people:

Roomie: The remote for the AC unit in the living room is busted again. It was on the fritz last year, we need to get it to the maintenance guy and tell him to buy a new one.

Normal person: takes remote and gives it to the maintenance guy

Cinder: tries replacing batteries in remote (because I actually had some that would work), sees faint signs of life.
Tries other batteries to ensure that old batteries really were dead.
Looks in battery compartment and sees that one of the contacts is rather rusty
Pulls out little screwdriver and attempts to scrape rust off
Decides there's still too much rust accumulated and dips a cotton swab in vinegar to remove it, uses other end of cotton swab to dry
Puts batteries back in and sees better signs of life, thwacks remote and it comes fully to life
Tries to turn on AC unit using remote
Checks circuit breaker to see if AC unit has power
Climbs up on table to use the manual on button on AC unit, power confirmed
Wipes off remote sensor with wet tissue
Tries to turn on AC unit using remote again…. Success
Texts roomie to tell her the good news

Feels proud of her accomplishment and posts it on the internet

Dear Cinder: You are not alone. What you describe sounds like me when something won't do what I want in the church sound system. I'll get the instruction book, google six ways from Sunday, but I'll either make it work or know why it won't work.

I'm thinking of starting a new thread in the BDF. I'll call it "The single most controversial question in the world." My question will involve which version of the Bible, celebrating holidays, legalism, works vs grace, the sabbath, musical instruments in church and anything else I can think of to stick in there.

I just have to find a way to phrase it so it includes all this stuff.
