Unless we repent we will not see the kingdom of God.

Self must die.

Luk 9:23 And he said unto all, If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Luk 9:24 For whosoever would save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
Luk 9:25 For what is a man profited, if he gain the whole world, and lose or forfeit his own self?
Luk 9:26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in his own glory, and the glory of the Father, and of the holy angels.

You must give up your life in order to have Jesus. Have you done this?

Or do you live much for self?

DO you eat what you eat for you or God?
Do you do what you do for you or God?

Self must die, count the cost.

Luk 14:27 Whosoever doth not bear his own cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
Luk 14:28 For which of you, desiring to build a tower, doth not first sit down and count the cost, whether he have wherewith to complete it?
Luk 14:29 Lest haply, when he hath laid a foundation, and is not able to finish, all that behold begin to mock him,
Luk 14:30 saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.
Luk 14:31 Or what king, as he goeth to encounter another king in war, will not sit down first and take counsel whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
Luk 14:32 Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and asketh conditions of peace.
Luk 14:33 So therefore whosoever he be of you that renounceth not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

Friends you are not your own if you will have life as it is written:

1Co 6:19 Or know ye not that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which ye have from God? and ye are not your own;
1Co 6:20 for ye were bought with a price: glorify God therefore in your body.

How much of your life is for you?

Do you spend your time on movies and games and entertainments of this world while claiming to be saved?

Do you do these things while people are perishing for lack of the truth all over the world and in your own back yard?

Jesus gave up heaven and His throne to save us and even gave up his life on the cross. He said of himself:

Joh_4:34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
Joh_5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

Who's will do you do? for to love the world is hatred towards God.

Self must die in order to be a disciple of Jesus. are you willing to give up your life now for Jesus. If not look to the cross see what God was willing to do for you and count the cost. Salvation will cost your life. but those who lose their life here will gain it in eternity.

Choose you this day who you will serve. and do not think to yourselves that you are children of God for God can rise up children from the dust of the ground.

But unless you repent and turn from your sins and self to God you shall not see the kingdom of God.

If you are saying that God wants believers to make a total commitment and put His values before the values of their society I certainly agree.

If you are saying that a person must come to that level of commitment before they can be saved, I don't believe that Scripture supports that.

I believe that when a person acknowledges Jesus as Lord and recognizes his/her need for Salvation; he/she invites God to begin a process that will eventually bring him/her to that point.

Luk 14:33 So therefore whosoever he be of you that renounceth not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

I do not like the attitude I sense in this thread of yours. See coming to the point where everything we do is for God is something that takes a great deal of experience hardships and overcoming many fiery trials. It is not something easily obtained and may take some up to 10 years or even more to achieve, it is a learning and growing process with him and each person learns and grows at different rates.

So he judges who is his disciple by the heart not how strong in him they are

yes, it takes time, sometimes 40 years (as it is written) and then more.

but some people are not even seeking yahweh or truth. that is the tragedy. people in 'churchianity' aren't

taught (neither by word nor by example) to seek yahweh and truth, by grace and faith in yahshua(jesus).....

they're actively taught to reject the truth ....
to accept the churches message instead of the gospel of freedom and life and truth in yahshua(jesus)...

Oh boy! More self righteous Pharisees shutting the door on God's grace in Jesus Christ! Hooray!

I hear so many Christians saying bad things about churches and I have gone to many of them but I haven't hardly seen anything you guys are talking about. I have no doubt doubt there are churches who are liike this but I have seen the love of God in many of these churches

don't take anyone's word for it. as you did in the past, rely on yahweh's WORD (SCRIPTURE), and ask yahweh for HIS WORD , not man's, to be revealed to you.

those who are lookwarm won't listen, they don't dare, because they know they stand judged if they do -- and would have to "repent" > turn to yahweh and away from sin, "repent", or continue in sin in rebellion ...

yahshua(jesus) says there's no in-between(even in the time it takes to develop discipline in walking with yahweh in faith and in righteousness in yahshua) .... either you're following yahshua, or someone else.

rely on yahweh's WORD.

remember that no 'fake' church is going to let you know that it's fake or greedy or sensual or carnal or worldly or anything "not right", if it can help it --- they'll either be whitewashed tombs , trying to appear good, or they'll 'change' and rely on traditions of men instead of yahweh's WORD and they will
teach the traditions instead of the truth of yahweh's WORD.

rely on yahweh's WORD. trust yahweh. he is trustworthy and faithful and true. and HIS WORD is true.

This is not self righteousness. It is plain bible teaching.

Nicodemus was self righteous believing he was saved. Jesus said, you must be born again.

All the Prophets came teaching that men should repent. John the baptist taught repentance and bringing forth fruit that shows your repentance. Jesus taught this same thing and told His disciples to preach it also.

Jesus said things like this:

Luk 13:2 And he answered and said unto them, Think ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they have suffered these things?
Luk 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all in like manner perish.
Luk 13:4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and killed them, think ye that they were offenders above all the men that dwell in Jerusalem?
Luk 13:5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Luk 13:6 And he spake this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came seeking fruit thereon, and found none.
Luk 13:7 And he said unto the vinedresser, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why doth it also cumber the ground?
Luk 13:8 And he answering saith unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:

Mat 11:20 Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not.
Mat 11:21 Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon which were done in you, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
Mat 11:22 But I say unto you, it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you.
Mat 11:23 And thou, Capernaum, shalt thou be exalted unto heaven? thou shalt go down unto Hades: for if the mighty works had been done in Sodom which were done in thee, it would have remained until this day.
Mat 11:24 But I say unto you that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.

Jesus taught that we must be born again. he was speaking to a man who thought he was obedient to God who thought he was saved. Jesus pointed out peoples evil so that they would repent.

Joh 7:7 The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that its works are evil.

Maybe some who are reading this have already repented. praise God this is not for them. but to those who have not the call remains. Whoever does not turn from sin to God will not live.

baptism symbolizes this turn, death to self and sin in the water. rising to newness of life in the Spirit given to those who obey Him.

by their fruits you will know them.

Can those who believe Jesus is coming soon, partake in worldly amusements while many are ignorant of the nearness?

Can Christ be in such a person? Jesus gave His life daily to the per suite of souls.

The disciples continued daily teaching those who would hear the good news.

The message that the world needs to hear is the true call to repentance.

These people are not making fun and mocking you, but their own LORD's words and love of their Salvation. The problem is they have not continued in these Holy Scripture of 'spirit' and 'life' that you are sharing. After the LORD has made them 'clean' they have 'dirtied' themselves partially to the 'pattern of this world' and are 'lukewarm'.

JESUS even said these,

'The swine which is washed clean goes back and roll itself in the mud again.'

'A dog goes back to lick it's vomit.'

'Do not cast pearls to swine for it will only trample on it.'

'Do not give what is Good and Holy to dogs, for it will only turn around and bite you.'

i believe in the Word of GOD your are sharing about 'forgetting self' and carrying the 'Cross', the teaching of CHRIST according to the New Covenant/Testament.

Galatians chapter 5, clearly talks about the 'enmity' between the SPIRIT and our carnal/flesh/self, that they are warring each other and stops us from what we want to do. As Christians we have only put concern and practices to the fruits of the SPIRIT, while ignore the fruits of the flesh/carnal/self in us that at times we allow to manifest and have not learned to put these to death.

And so, we have only strained out a small fly of Good works for GOD and have swallowed a camel of wealth and health and prosperity, even moderate lives here on earth.

JESUS was not wrong to say that;

'You will know a tree by it's fruits.'

.

Oh boy! More self righteous Pharisees shutting the door on God's grace in Jesus Christ! Hooray!

And the grace of God, is not what you represent now.

You should be holy as God is holy, but now you spread out unholy ways to follow our Lord, even thought there is not such thing, than unholy way to serve God.

I hope that everyone can understand this.

I is important to be holy.

A lot of people "claim" discernment.... probably because they know such a self-egrandizing claim cannot be disproven. But, I do believe, you, Sir, do have such a gift.

I myself have a hard time understanding why so many people feel they have the right to judge others but rarely seem to think they need to look in on themselves. I see a lot of that going on in this thread, and I'm often guilty of it, too.

Me? I struggle. Everyone does. If you say you don't have days that make even you wonder if you're a Christian, they I say, you are a liar.

No one can tell by the actions of another if that person is a Christian, and no one has the right to come up to someone and say, "You need to live righteously" unless they have not only watched, but also discussed that person's life situation.

Far too much of what goes into this forum is someone's self-righteous view that they have mistaken for actual righteousness. Get a clue, folks, when Paul quoted Isaiah in Romans 3:10 and declares "THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE," he wasn't referring to just the unbeliever.

Often on here, we see posted Jesus' warning about looking past logs in our own eyes to complain about someone else's speck. Perhaps we should all check ourselves for logs before daring to post the "definitive piece" -- or respond to others' "definite piece" -- on how others should live righteously. Perhaps make sure we are doing so ourselves first? What a concept.

This is not directed to the OP or anyone else in particular. It is just a general attitude around here that, at least to me, seems evident on this thread, and throughout the board. It grows wearisome, and I'm as guilty as anyone else.

the impression I get from these OT prophet types is that they somehow have gotten the impression that God's only desire is to judge us and then judge us again and then once more for good measure

did the earth tilt off its axis and all the nuts decide to post here or what?

if someone has to get scared into heaven, I doubt the sincerity of their confession

every day I go before God and ask forgiveness for sins I have committed and every day I renew my
hope and trust in Him and every day I fall short

I have no hope at all except in Christ and the mercy of God

you religious zealots...because that is what you are....must be very weighed down with all those stones in your pockets

Condemnation is not from God...condemnation is from the devil and he would like nothing better than that we all walk around miserable and hopeless

Do you really suppose everyone but you is drowning in their sin and thumbs their nose at God? That is one arrogant and self righteous attitude

Amen to this. When I joined CC I mistakenly thought rejoicing in God's love and grace would be the ruling theme but to my dismay those virtues are often eclipsed by negativity, darkness and finger pointing at our shortfalls -- shortfalls that are forgiven and forgotten by the blood of Jesus Christ.

If you have that kind of day's that you wonder are your even christian, it is because you have not give your self truly to God, but your heart is still in this world, and it makes you faith week.

And sadly is that you today's people's can't take anymore the sound doctrine, but you reuse it, with all kind of excuse's like "do not judge me" even though it is about exhortation fort the salvation of your souls.

And when our dear brother Paulos, writes those prophesied words, "There is none righteous, not even one" he mean the time before the coming of our Lord.

Or do you really believe that this next describe, reborn christian?

10. as it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one; 11. There is none that understandeth, There is none that seeketh after God; 12. They have all turned aside, they are together become unprofitable; There is none that doeth good, no, not, so much as one: 13. Their throat is an open sepulchre; With their tongues they have used deceit: The poison of asps is under their lips: 14. Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: 15. Their feet are swift to shed blood; 16. Destruction and misery are in their ways; 17. And the way of peace have they not known: 18. There is no fear of God before their eyes. (Roman 3:10-18)

You should give your life truly to the God, so that the Spirit of truth may find the space on you, so that you may come to know the truth.

baloney! all the disciples but John fled when Jesus was taken prisoner...allowed Himself to be taken...you seem to be enamored of the OT...do you see nothing but perfect people who never sin?

And sadly is that you today's people's can't take anymore the sound doctrine, but you reuse it, with all kind of excuse's like "do not judge me" even though it is about exhortation fort the salvation of your souls.

baloney and looney tunes!! JUDGE yourself first is what the scriptures say...how did you miss that? What you are doing is not about exhortation...you are a practioner of the law...do you not know that Christ Jesus was crucified for the remission of sins? We cannot earn salvation...it is a GIFT from our Heavenly Father

We walk in the light as He is in the Light...His sacrifice atones for us day after day after day

And when our dear brother Paulos, writes those prophesied words, "There is none righteous, not even one" he mean the time before the coming of our Lord.

Actually, Paul would probably refer you to Galatians...that's in the NT. By the way, that NO ONE RIGHTEOUS...refers to YOU also unless you believe God has left you out somehow

And when our dear brother Paulos, writes those prophesied words, "There is none righteous, not even one" he mean the time before the coming of our Lord.

Let's put this in context...I know that is not convenient for you because it will no longer suit your purpose...but, stickler for accuracy that I am, that quote from Romans that Paul uses is actually found in Psalm 14...

1The fool[SUP]a[/SUP] says in his heart,
“There is no God.”
They are corrupt, their deeds are vile;
there is no one who does good.

2The Lord looks down from heaven
on all mankind
to see if there are any who understand,
any who seek God.
3All have turned away, all have become corrupt;
there is no one who does good,
not even one.

It is speaking about those who say there is no God..NOT about believers

And so you are another 'judge', witnessing and judging those in your 'testimony', who judge others and what the right thing they should do.

In fact you behave like a 'king' for GOD's people, as 'sir knight of the shining armor'. You would even tell JESUS, whom you have not seen and understood well according to the Holy Scripture, to stop 'judging' the Pharisees, who HE judged them, even knowing the Truth that they were in their GOD blinded ignorance.

Dare question the 'Potter', why HE have done this, that i have 'highlighted', knowledge according to the written Holy Scripture of the Gospel?

You would want to add, that is JESUS and we are not, even some of us who 'prophesy' in service, in order for 'conviction', for one's repentance to GOD, turning back to the established blood shed, straight path once again, 'as it is written' and also 'built up' HIS lambs and sheep.

Have you not read in the Gospel, that JESUS said, 'even though HE did not come to judge', but, 'even if HE judged, HE would have used 'right' and 'fair' measures in judging others.

Wasn't HIS judging based on the Spiritual knowledge of 'the Word of GOD'?

Aren't we the 'body of CHRIST', consists of many members in service for the LORD JESUS CHRIST, for the sake of HIS lambs and sheep, while also exposing to them and putting aside 'imposters and 'counterfeits', among us as 'smooth operators', in disguised humble and humility fashion, who themselves cannot control their 'desires', since CHRIST is beside the FATHER in Heaven, 'interceding', praying and pleading for all of us, to come 'home' through; "The Way, The Truth and The Life, the only way to the FATHER in Heaven".

Please do not be wise and in conceit to generalize and have not specified the false judges, by not 'witnessing' well according to the written Grace and Truth, even including GOD's unworthy and undeserved servants sent here to labor, where they are not expecting nor hoping to earn anything here doing so, such as 'position', 'respect', 'title', 'reputation' or 'finance' at all, but only received in contrary, even contention.

That is why GOD's church till today without partly 'rebukes' and 'corrections' based on 'All Scripture' that was inspired for all of us. Through these 'reminder' and 'stir up of memories' guidance, we are able to distinguish between the 'spirit of error' and the 'spirit of truth', the 'counterfeits' and 'imposters'.

What if the 'log' has been removed from our own eyes and we are able to now 'see' clearly Grace and Truth and are 'witnessing' in 'faith action' laboring to 'straighten' GOD's House to 'oneness', first in Spiritual knowledge of the kingdom of GOD in the HOLY BIBLE.?

Repent!

May GOD the FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST forgive you and bless you.

1Co 6:19 Or know ye not that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which ye have from God? and ye are not your own;
1Co 6:20 for ye were bought with a price: glorify God therefore in your body.

So, I'm a heathen because I do watch movies, play card games, and joke around with people? Yeah, okay, if that's what you want to believe.

Personally, I'm thankful God has given me a TV, a computer, and a mind to entertain.

I'm not big on condemnation as a gospel.
