Most galling is that the essence of strong faith is trusting in the Lord Jesus to save, for God to complete His work in us, to have absolute trust in God's grace by faith and believe His promise that we have eternal life and are sanctified, right now, by His Spirit. By the Spirit we also know our place, in terms of any holiness that only God can claim. But to tell a mature Christian their faith needs supplementation of some bastardized gospel according to Bozo, lest we get spiritually unborn for spitting on a sidewalk or whatever, isn't in scripture. Maybe in a book like "Crackpot Theology for Dummies," but I've never been fooled, for a minute, or impressed. I don't read the drivel of some, in chronic lala land, as often around here, frankly, as there's no profit in exposing your brain to a lot of garbage, but do get a kick out of things like when he calls his sin "stumbling." If nothing else, it's sometimes entertaining.
Whats so bizarre is their inability to carry on a two way conversation and they are NEVER wrong about anything. In fact, it's the most glaring indication of their total self absorption.

It's often as if a robotic script, that is never off topic, as if responses from a machine that just continues rambling on, when scripture truth clashes, "Does not compute. Does not compute. I am without sin. You will lose your salvation. Believing you are saved is of the devil. Your salvation does not compute."

I forgot to add. What you believe is lies of the devil and dangerous, my friend. Love you. Kissy kissy.

What blows my mind is the rejection of verb tenses, inspired words in context and a refusal to be open to learning and instruction......I have numerous times posted the correct, literal translation or verb tens of an inspired word or words and they get swept under the table.....God inspired EVERY verb tense and word found and they cannot be swept under the rug just because they contradict your theology. One word can make or break context and just like Satan in the garden....the addition of words and or phraseology turns the truth into a lie.....seems common with those who deny eternal security!

Again, what is the common denominator? Doubt your salvation. Is doubt of faith? Is the Holy Spirit's work accusations and doubt, or is this the primary occupation of some other guy?

Yup...doubt. And just like you said, they wrap it all up in a pretty little manipulative bow of "I love you in Jesus" to attempt even more doubt on top of their doubt. Pretty devious when you think about it.

I find the phony familiarity that's out of place, though, a tell, like the way psychotics feign emotions. Platitudes of piety are a common device of the disingenuous in the Christian community, like putting wrapping paper and ribbon around a box with a bomb in it. The loudest holy Joes are the ones who always seem to get caught with their pants down, too.

So you believe that it is wrong for a Christian to go to war? You actually believe in Christian pacifism? Do you believe the juice made at the wedding of Cana by Jesus was not alcoholic? If so, then I apologize. It is my experience that most in your camp believe that way. As for number 3, I said.... most in your camp. Meaning most who believe similar as you do believe Hosea was commanded by God to marry a prostitute. Do you believe God told Hosea to marry a prostitute?

As for the OSAS issue: Where is OSAS taught in Matthew 6:15?
Dear Reborn:

Please answer these questions honestly above.
Please take note that if you do not believe the above, I am willing to say... "I am sorry."
But if you do in fact believe the above, then I would like an apology, my friend.

For you have to understand that in my experience, most I have run into who believe in OSAS believe in the list that I provided.

Thank you.
And may God bless you.

I meant to say that if you do not believe in Numbers 3-5 I will apologize.
Anyways, to be open and honest with everyone here, what exactly do you believe in regards to Numbers 3-5?

In any event, whether you reply or don't reply, it does not change my love for you in Christ Jesus. I am also not perfect yet, so you will have to forgive me if I did make a wrong assumption in what you believe in regards to Numbers 3-5.

Wow, 42 pages?

Truth be told, message boards are HORRIBLE for debate because there is no true dialogue. Can't really ask direct questions and get an immediate direct answer, can't figure out "delivery," among other things, and that's why I stopped "debating" this topic. Honestly, there is nothing conclusive in the Bible for either argument. For each scripture that you give regarding sin nature, another is telling us we shouldn't sin. While many quote Romans 8:39 as proof of OSAS ignore that fact that agapēs is the word used in that scripture, the same love that God showed "while we were yet sinners." In short, people will always bicker about this. Like I stated earlier, as long as we know that if we sin, we have an advocate to the father, that is all that really matter.

But man, 42 pages.

I think it is a very important topic to discuss and understand because the Bible does not teach we as believers will be slaves to our sin. For the Scriptures say, "Jesus Christ was manifested to destroy the works of the devil." This would be the works of the devil within a believer's life. Romans chapter 6 makes a contrast. You will either be a slave to sin or you will be a slave to righteousness. One who is slave to something has a Master at the end of which they are being a slave to. The Scrptures say he that sins is of the devil. The Scriptures also say that he that does righteousness is of God. Galatians 5:24 says they that are Christ's have crucified the affections and lusts. 1 Peter 4:1 says they that have suffered in the flesh have ceased from sin. Peter identifies certain false prophets as not having ceased from sin (2 Peter 2:1, 14).

In other words, what is your mindset or focus? Is one thinking they will be a slave to sin and do bad always at some point in their life? Or is one thinking they will live for God and be holy and put away sin out of their life and live unto the Lord and His righteousness? What is the better option? Does an alcoholic give into defeat and just remain an alcoholic? Or does the alcoholic desire to be sober and free from his addiction?

It's weird that you are so worried about everyone else's personal holiness. It's like you're addicted to controlling others. Are you a co-dependant?

Well....better luck tomorrow. Try to resist spitting on the sidewalk wouldya!
According to his own doctrine...if he is not perfect yet then he is still in sin and lost.....how many times has he equated sinless (PERFECTION) with the key to heaven and if you are not perfect you are in sin, a slave to sin and on your way to hell.....

Seems that Jasons theology is evolving. Maybe he's coming around to the truth but is doing it in such a way that he take credit for it. ha

I honestly believe he has no intention of acknowledging the truth concerning the OP on this thread....He will undermine his own sin with phraseology like (slipping up) will deny he sins and is perfect then say he is not perfect YET, while denying the inspired word that is mistranslated (perfect) by the King Jim scholars who taught works for salvation......this guy will ride his high horse all the way to the proverbial gates because of the inability to accept and acknowledge the inspired words, verb tenses and contextual structure of the word of God.......He boasts of DISCUSSING scripture, but in all actuality discusses nothing but his own interpretation instead of letting the words actually speak and refuses to be open to the fact that he is wrong.....someone who is like that will reject the truth every time.......God inspired every word, verb tense and context.....they cannot be swept under the rug in favor of opinion, conjecture, supposition, guesses etc.........
