Are you seriously comparing Kent Hovind with Thomas Edison?

Kent Hovind obtained a fake degree from a degree mill and has invented nothing.

Thomas Edison developed a comprehensive process for self-education and learning independently that he carefully followed his entire life (reading o6ut the non-fiction areas of more than one major public library in the process) and made more than a thousand inventions and to this day 1,093 patents are directly credited to him.

It's apples and orange.

You're miscorrelating very high IQ inventors who found that formal education, while desirable, slowed them down in rapidly changing marketplaces and so educated themselves informally while pursuing their inventions with a person of average intelligence who obtained a worthless "degree" from a diploma mill and never invented anything.

How about I correlate the average high school dropout to that list you posted and make the same false assertion that you did?

You might want to learn something about the science of correlation before you begin attempting to engage in the practice so as to avoid making such gross mistakes. You can learn about correlation in introductory logic and critical thinking 101 level courses at your local college with all that time on your hands since you're inventing nothing noteworthy at the moment either. Hey, I know, maybe you and "Dr. Dino" can take the course together online.
Very funny ending.

I think popeye should go to the prison where Dr. Dino is incarcerated so they can take the course together.

Despite what wincam posted yesterday about Dr. Dino being a free man, I don't think so.

Unless somebody can post info to the contrary (wincam hates sources other than his own imagination), it is my understanding that Dr. Dino is still in prison, but he can possibly be out on parole in about 3 months.

Hey, I hope Dr. Dino gets out too.

Then he can resume his stand-up comedy act.

Part of his problem JackH, as you may already know, was that he held public seminars over cable television and the Internet (also distributed on DVD) in which he taught that nobody has to pay taxes to the government which he painted as evil and satanic.

Though this, in itself, isn't illegal in the manner in which he did it to the best of my knowledge; it was sure to draw the "eye of Sauron" so to speak, LOLOL.

If you're going to break the law, it's probably best not to hold public seminars and tell everyone God said it's OK for them to break the law too.

Just saying...

Somebody should make a movie about this guy.

I'm thinking Tom Hanks as Dr. Dino doing it something like he did Forrest Gump.

.please give evidence as to why Dr. Jones is incorrect in this book. ( you have to disprove the evidence, not attack the person)
I think I'll wait until tomorrow to start in on the specifics in order for anyone who is interested to have a look if they want to.

Here's a link for the book online:

http://www.ntslibrary.com/PDF Books II/Jones - Chronology of the OT.pdf

Incidentally, you asked me what Bible I use and I replied I have NASB, KJV, NKJV. Also I read other versions online on occasion.

What Bible(s) do you use?

Do you believe that one version is more right than others?

Kent Hovind has been released at last with all charges against him dropped - just another genius being made to suffer - wincam
I asked you for a source confirming that Dr. Dino has been released.

Here, this is what I'm looking for, the link below. Peter J. Reilly from Forbes seems to have a good handle on the situation. Obviously Dr. Dino has not been released.

Kent Hovind To Be Free In August - Maybe Sooner - Forbes

You also posted recently, more than once, that dinosaur remains have been found alongside human and modern animal remains.

I asked you twice for a source.

I'm still waiting.

I'm not reading 28 pages, but Kent Hovind is awesome for supporting the creation story of the Bible.

Well then, you are missing the good stuff.

According to the Forbes article, when Dr. Dino (Kent Hovind) gets out of prison, he is going to build big and better Dinosaur Adventure Land parks.

Contained therein will be absolute proof that dinosaurs coexisted with humans, as in dinosaurs with saddles on them. Like Ken Ham (AIG) has at his Creation Museum.

Not only does Dr. Dino support the 6000-year-old creation story, he made much moola off it, which he didn't pay taxes on.

Hopefully he has learned his lesson, about the taxes anyway.

Dr. Dino appears to be mostly oblivious to reality, such as real science, but the 8 plus years in prison may have woke him up to the reality of the IRS.

Hey Jack,

How about you spend one day trying not to stir up and start trouble between brothers in Christ? How about that? You are here for 1 reason, to start trouble, that is so crystal clear. That's a very noble and Christ like goal, good job "brother". There is no constructive reason for you doing this, I just hope the folks see through it and stop taking your poisoned bait. If I’m mistaking and you do have some noble cause I’d really like to hear it so I can apologize, but are you really that board and how does this bring glory to God?

so then it seems both the bible and Kent Hovind have been proved right since humans and Dinosaurs co-existed - btw how long does it take to bury a dinosaur or wooly mammoth in an upright position - wincam

One more time . . .

Do you have any evidence that dinosaurs and human coexisted?

Of course not.

Because there isn't any.

Hey Jack,

How about you spend one day
Hey Jimbone,

How about you posting something pertinent to the issues being discussed?

I have yet to see any.

Do you believe that dinosaurs coexisted with humans?

Do you believe that Dr. Dino (Kent Hovind) is a genius like wincam said or a joke like myself and a few others have said?

Of course, I expect you to support your view.

That swooooshing sound you both heard was my little "no brainer" flying by ya'lls superior IQ's and education.

The obvious that escaped ya'll is that under your condescending shoot the messenger template,Edison would qualify as a target also.(another dummy to attack)

This was posted by yet another subscriber to Idiot Ameria, thus proving he himself and idiot. The truth:

Dinosaurs and Saddles (by Ken Ham on June 24, 2009)

Those who oppose the Creation Museum, having by and large given up on trying to argue logically and scientifically against the information presented in its exhibits, are resorting more and more to a mocking, scoffing, and a ridiculing approach. It seems their philosophy is this: “If you throw enough mud, some will stick."

One of the ways these opponents have tried to belittle and ridicule the Creation Museum is by using a children’s item at the museum that is not an exhibit, and taking it out of context and trying to make an issue of something in a way that is childish and absurd.

In the book Idiot America–which is now getting considerable press coverage—the author states in the “Introduction”:

The whole group then bustled into the lobby of the building, where they were greeted by the long neck of a huge, herbivorous dinosaur. The kids ran past it and around the corner, where stood another, smaller dinosaur. Which was wearing a saddle. It was an English saddle, hornless and battered. Apparently, this was a dinosaur that performed in dressage competitions and stakes races. Any dinosaur accustomed to the rigors of ranch work and herding other dinosaurs along the dusty trail almost certainly would have worn a sturdy western saddle. This, obviously, was very much a show dinosaur. The dinosaurs were the first things you saw when you entered the Creation Museum, the dream child of an Australian named Ken Ham, who is the founder of Answers in Genesis, the worldwide organization for which the museum is meant to be the headquarters.

[ . . . ] [N]ot as part of an exhibit, but as a fun thing for kids to do, we do have one sculptured dinosaur with a saddle (sculpted by Buddy Davis, and he also made the saddle) that is used for a fun activity for kids to climb on and have their photographs taken—no different to what you see in certain theme parks and other secular venues. In fact, here are three photographs of kids on this dinosaur:

So you're as big an idiot as the author of Idiot America, which seems to have been titled after his inability to grasp reality. And you'll note the date of Ham's article, meaning your still misusing this b***s*** six years after its been discredited.

No he would not. The dependencies necessary for the correlation you posited, when quantifiably qualified, disqualify him as a target. Restating your false assertion doesn't make it any truer.

Edison would qualify as a target also.

Well, if you don't like dinosaurs with saddles as proof that dinosaurs coexisted with humans, how about Ken Ham's book with cool pics of dinosaurs coexisting with humans?

Check it out here:

Ken Ham And His Mad Children's Books • Lazer Horse

Although this statement in the article might concern you:

In March 2011, the Board of Great Homeschool Conventions, Inc. voted to “disinvite” Ham and Answers in Genesis (Ham’s company) from “all future conventions,” saying that Ham’s words about other Christians were “unnecessary, ungodly, and mean-spirited statements that are divisive at best and defamatory at worst.” He also got in a bit of trouble for making quite a lot of cash out of his “good work” which he lavished on his board of execs.

I hope Ken Ham pays taxes on all that money he gets from duping the gullible. Unlike Dr. Dino who is in prison for not paying taxes on all that money he got from duping the gullible.

Right out of the box, I come across this:

Researchers from the University of Lorraine came to these new estimates from analysing xenon gas found in quartz from South Africa and Australia. These gases had been trapped within the rocks for billions of years.
Xenon isotope dating is unproven, and therefore it's results are unreliable. The method depends on a 9.2 hour half life. There is no way, after what is supposedly well over three and a half billion years, that there is measurable xenon-135 remaining in any sample of anything. Result: Epic fail.

Although this statement in the article might concern you:

Wonderful! Bravo! An outstanding smear without ever once brushing up against the facts. Hillary would be proud of you.

Regarding the GHC banning of Ken Ham from its events, the board at AIG was concerned enough about the allegations to review Ham's remarks and participation in the conference internally. Here's what you don't include in your post, because obviously the article you quoted had no interest in the outcome, only in the allegations, which it used to attempt to discredit Ham.

Kicked Out of Two Homeschool Conferences

We find no evidence of Mr. Ham questioning anyone’s salvation. To the contrary, Mr. Ham and this ministry have repeatedly stated that salvation is based entirely upon faith in Christ, independent of one’s belief on origins. Similarly, we find no instance of Mr. Ham questioning the integrity or intelligence of another. Mr. Ham appropriately took issue on several instances with the teaching of false doctrine, particularly with false teachings on origins. We find no evidence that these doctrinal criticisms included attacks on anyone’s salvation, intelligence, or integrity.
Then you follow up that beautiful smear tactic by attempting to identify Ham with Hovind, "hoping" Ham pays taxes. The fact of the matter is, Ham did warn conference goers of Dr. Peter Enns, who denies Scripture -- and not just those passages dealing with the creation -- denies the deity of Christ, denies the authenticity of the identifications of those men and women who wrote the Bible.

So do countless other Christian speakers, pastors, researchers, and seminary instructors. Enns is a tare. Go look that up in your Bible.
