I don't get back very often, I am busy catching up with family and old friends on FB.. And I don't like the ranting on of so many,self appointed theologains, who are our to destroy the Truth. Many are sincere and really don't know they are the tool of the Devil. But will ask for your prayers for our Church/Mission which we are doing in Davao City, Philippines. I moved here after my wife in N.Y. died in 07. I visited here in Aug.07, and God gave me a new wife, Philippina. So I liquidated all in the USA and have lived here ever since. My retirement money is going a long ways here, and I love my new ministry here. I am 72 on June 26 2015 . I am mostly self supporting and money get VERY tight at times. We have a few, great Philippines, who help at times. We have wonderful worship and fellowship times. Yesterday we gave out school supplies which were provided by friends, we must have had 70 persons in our house church. We need money to expand. Hoffco, Ptr. Doug and Ptra Imelda

Because I still being human, not posthuman.

I can´t deny I´m alive and, at the same time, I´m dead so, if I knew how to be dehumanized, I will share that secret and, if the rest of the world denies their mundanity, their humanity or their falling short (sometimes) I´m not their judge.

Fair enough, I remember first checking out your profile as I thought you might not be a believer with the name "secular". I get you now.

There are some here on CC who consider they have reached perfection. Wouldn't this cancel out the need for Jesus?

Yes! There are many who think of themselves as perfect (out of my business)

and the height I have reached is my simple bodily stature: I´m a sinner longing to have some private conversations with God or Jesus, and that is up to them. :eek:

Yes, it is not our place to judge - after all we are but sinners too! God is the only one worthy to judge. We are here to encourage.

I admire your restraint. Yes, sometimes I feel that way too and I feel so bad that I even think about it that I need some time alone with God to regroup.

it's a challenge. i've learned (and still learning) to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.

Sometimes it seems like CC is a place God is using to conform us to his image. We have to learn to be patient, kind, gentle, but also to speak the truth in love. That last one is the challenge for us all.

We had an AWESOME church service this morning. It makes me want to just dig, dig, dig into the Bible, and to spend a LOT more time in prayer!

Oh, and praising God! I was reminded of the incredible gifts God has given us in this new home - creation at our feet, and family and meeting new friends.

Lol...you know how it is Sirk. In somes eyes we are always going to live wrong! Laughing's a sin some say. Depressions a sin some say! But I suppose self righteous hypocrisy...is glorious perfection! rollseyes lol

Mom and the fact that they cannot bully anyone in this thread. Too many people would just shower them with love in this thread, and it might wreck their false doctrines and faulty theology. Nothing like the love of God to break down barriers and spread the peace of Jesus!

My mom and her brothers were raised in a home where cards were a sin, movies were a sin, farting at the breakfast table was a sin, alcohol was a sin, eating twizzlers was a sin, not going to bed on time was sin, missing church was a sin, farting at the dinner table was a sin and on and on and on and on....... There was so much sin there, that many of them still haven't figured out if anything is okay so they just do em all with reckless abandon.

oh that part is the most difficult for me. i can easily speak out the truth, but i always have to keep my motives in check. what are my intentions? am i speaking the truth because i love this person and want to see great things for him/her through God? or am i speaking the truth as an ego-boost to show how right i am?

sigh.
