*bangs head on desk*
ok lemme spell it out for you
Suicidal person: I'm sucidal
Christian: Beat it with Jesus
Suicidal person: ok *prays and reads Bible and really believes that God will save them but nothing happens* Why isn't anything happening...I did everything right...
Christian: Maybe you just don't have enough faith
Suicidal person: There must be something wrong with me. I must be a bad person if Jesus answered your prayers but not mine. I don't deserve to live. God doesn't love me. *goes and sticks a knife in abdomen*
Christian: *stands and watches* killing yourself is a sin.
Suicidal person: *gasping for air*
Christian: It's murder.
Suicidal person: *dies*
I know that was an exaggeration but it's not too far from reality because that is almost what happened with me. Now would your first priority in that situation be to get that person to a better state of mind or to tell them the cold hard truth?
You are painting a scenario upon me that did not happen. Nowhere did we ever go thru you a situation where you were telling me you were going to kill yourself and then I went and ignored you and or did not feel empathic towards you. What happened is that you immediately jumped on me because I disagreed with your OP. Then you tried to make it all about how I am not being sensitive enough. If you were upfront with me about your situation, then I would most certainly express my heart to you in that situation. But by your words in this thread, I was not getting the impression that you were trying to kill yourself. I cannot know how you are feeling unless you actually tell me about your feelings.
