Well what you say may be true but when did he say this and when did he contradict himself, did he say this and then ignore you or did he say this when you two met and such? But even so there is a reason you care for him God brought him to your life for a reason, so even though he hurt you what are you going to do?

You have choose what your going to do, you can remember and think about what he did to you or you can let go and let God handle the situation.

I'm just so frustrated because we were so close! We were so close to having something good come of it and now...nothing...I am still hoping but it's just like WE WERE SO CLOSE!!!!! Why did it have to happen now? We were doing SO DARN GOOD!!! :-(

One thing you will find in life is that friends come and go. Some go because they're not good for you. I like to think that God protects us from things by closing certain doors.

Yes frustration is natural but don't let it consume you, I think if you guys were that close and doing that good that is all the more reason to fight isn't it? When one truly cares about another they will never give up they will fight until the very last second for that persons sake they will give it everything they have.

God is the only one who can help him at this point and your prayers may be the only thing that will convince God to act, he may be using you to make a difference in this persons life and it may also be a test and growing in faith and love thing for you as well. Your feelings for him tell me you are going to fight that you are not going to just lay down and admit defeat

JFSurvivor: i know what you feel right now :( i face the similiar situation like you these days :( its not an easy feeling.. Each minutes i'll check my message, each time my heart and my mind cant focus on what i do.. The only thing i can suggest you is give everything to God.. FOCUS in God.. i know its not an easy thing to do :( but keep praying and keep praying.. maybe deep inside my heart i dont want him to be just friend, maybe i want him more without i realize it.. i dont know with you but i'll pray for you :) when my mind didnt go like i want i always try to stop and said in 2 Corinthians 10:5 with faith.. and instead of wondering why this is happened etc etc say thanks God for ... or ... it helps me a lot!! Trust in GOD!! ^_^
 
I just feel like God is playing with my emotions. "oh here's a friend! now he's gone but the suffering is good for you! here is again and now he's gone but just trust me! I do everything for your best!"
 
oh and as an added bonus "Your ex friend who hurt you so bad and that you never met is going to be moving an hour away but I'm STILL not going to let you meet!" How is that ok? How is that fair to me?

It's all part of him teaching you to trust him, one day you will look back on all this and you understand why he is pulling you through this emotional challenge

That is exactly what satan wants you to think. If you never learn to trust God then satan can just roll right over you, but remember what I always say seek love first and everything else will fall into place. Keep your focus on God
 
I feel like I'm at the point where I only love God because I have to...I'm tired of praying and hoping for answers and getting none so now I'm going through the motions just to be like "so do I get my spot in heaven?"

It seems like all these "tests" that should bring me closer are just pushing me farther away...

A lot of times our prayers are not answered because what we think we want isn't what we need, if you base how you feel about God on the answers of your prayers then eventually satan will make you lose hope and eventually your faith may go away.

I know how you feel but it's extremely important that you let go and hand the situation to God because the enemy will use all this frustration against you like he is now and believe me that is not a battle you will likely win
