And those "some" are wrong, as God is not in the business of punishing anyone at this point in time. He is operating in His great mercy and grace for the sake of His Son, who is building His Church.

I also added the just punishment part because of this verse:

Hebrew 12:6
For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

Sorry I took so long to reply, I was on another thread .

I don't really know what do you mean of Faith Healing,
but I can only say, that if you don't have faith, your prayers won't be
realized because you hesitate a lot and you don't trust God!
I talked for everyone not for one person.
In life, I see that certain(Christians and Unbelievers) fear about everything.
We're full of selfish way and stuff like that!
I never you want to tell me what do you mean about your discussion,
you can tell me Here on this Forum or in Private, it's as your choice!

Well I don't agree at all with "faith healing"

Do I believe that God can heal who he wants to when he wants to: YES
Do I believe that if you don't get healed its because its a lack of faith on your part: NO

God doesn't promise us a life of bliss, ease, pain-free, healthy, wealthy, happy-go-lucky life.
One thing God does promise though is a life of persecution, pain, suffering, etc
He does this in order for us to cry out to God, and strengthen us for the next trial and test he has for us next.

I've been to a lot of these types of services in the past, where the pastors leading the service seem to be exulted as being superior in their gifting's. I personally feel when all the attention is directed to the person with these gifts, it just feels like the Lord Jesus is not the focus anymore, but rather mans special gift of healing. Jesus Christ needs to be the only one exulted & lifted up. The Lord does give up gifts of the spirit, to operate in them unto the Lord, but too often man is getting to much glory in his "faith healing services"

People use the words "miraculous" in the place of "providential" all the time. The majority of things people call a miracle is really just God's providence.

The Charismatic movement is the most dangerous and heretical movement in Christianity to date. Every Christian cult and prosperity preacher to date has stemmed from it and it wrecks the faith of millions by letting them down. I wish I had never opened up to it myself. Whatever you've supposedly seen or experienced, I guarantee it wasn't any genuine Apostolic level miracle. If anything it's just God's providence.

I agree with you concerning God's providence. He does amazing things in our lives each day.

When I happen to have the eyes to see or the ears to hear a thing that He is doing, or has done for me, I just find it miraculous that He cares enough for me to be that intimately involved in my life. I know He does care that much and is that intimately involved, but it just brings the knowledge of that back to the forefront of my mind and causes me to stand in awe, anew.

As far as cults, preachers, faiths, etc., and their purpose, God has all that covered. Christ has set us free from fear and has given us His Peace, which passes all understanding. Let us trust in Him, be anxious for nothing, and rest.

His Peace is ours children of The Most High, today and every day.:)

2 Corinthians 13:11
Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.

As much as I desire the gift of healing I don't have it but if i ever do it will be done in secret. I am not going to go into public and begin healing and amazing ppl with my( spiritual power). I don't need to touch someone to heal them or even be near them the gift of healing I believe is more powerful through a heart felt prayer and in secret. The ppl who may be healed may very well never know that the gift of healing was done by someone across the world online however God's hand reaches from the fire of one persons prayer who prays and asks for the right reasons and the right heart.

Could you elaborate what you mean by lack of faith? Do you mean lacking faith period, or in certain situations?

I find this interesting. I feel just the opposite about it. I feel, just as in the early days, this "healing" is not to be just a replacement for doctors, but rather, a demonstration of the love of Jesus. I think the most important part of it is that the person healed, and any witnesses to the healing, are made to understand the one who did the healing, and why He did it.

Faith healing comes in various forms

Christians believe on the scriptural practise of the elders of a church anointing with oil and laying on of hands for healing.

Faith healers in the new age sense believe you can be healed by a healer who has the power, ie a faith healer.
These are equivalent to witch doctors, or occultists or mediums etc. who have their own ideas about the authority they are healing with and under. This is all 100% banned, as the only miraculous forces we can trust are those delivered through Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

Anything else is submitting to the ruler of this world and his authority, which causes spiritual submission to who he is and by implication rebellion against the Lord and spiritually casts you outside the Kingdom.

I am sure many in desperate situations will try any healer they can, but they ignore respect and authority towards the creator matters more, as well as submission to His will.

Reading this reminded me of Matthew 5:16,

Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

I had forgotten to consider this.

Perhaps I should elaborate my feelings and desires on the gift of healing. See before I was saved I was nice but I only cared and thought about myself even though I had gone through such hell in life I couldn't see the pain and suffering in the bright smiling faces I saw every day. When I became saved as I grew closer to God and he and I created a deep and intimate love I began to love and care about and for others and I was beginning to see what it means to be a Christian but more than what it means to be a child of God. I began to slowly yet surely lose the sight of my fleshly eyes and take on his, I noticed he allowed me to be able to peek into his heart and allowed me to sometimes see though his eyes.

This became a very constant thing because after all I told him I wanted to know and I wanted to see long before I even began to become strong in him. It only took one prayer I only had to ask once to see though his eyes to love with his heart and to become love itself just as he is. Because this happened so often I noticed I began to be able see and even sometimes feel what he is feeling. The thing that was most profound to me was what he saw and felt for his children. I could see through a window of sorts a tiny bit of what he sees in the deepest core of even the cruelest and evil person and I began to understand why he went through all he did.

Of course there was something he showed me, he sees and knows feels and understands all the pain and sadness the unfairness the downright cruelty of this world and the ppl in it, the pain and sadness we feel is nothing compared to the pain in his heart. even he the almighty God cries because of how much he cares for us because of how he sees all this pain and sadness because he knows and understands the broken hearted the wounded and scared the lost and the alone. As i began to learn this and see this in him i too began to feel the very same thing I would lie in bed crying because I was so concerned about the sadness and pain the wounded and broken hearted but i was powerless i could do nothing to help them.

I knew about the gift of healing and I knew I didn't have it but I also knew that if God willed he could give it to me however I didn't simply want to heal the body even though i do desperately want to. I wanted God and I to become one so that if he healed someone either by my prayers or by touch I wanted the healing to go deeper, I could see in my minds eye his hands gently mending and caring for the hearts of those ppl, with such tenderness and care he was healing all their scars all their wounds and taking away the pain they have always known. This is the healing I desire, I myself will hide in the shadows so that no one even knows my existence but he will be out in the open shining his light so brightly. when ppl are healed they won't see me they will Jesus himself.

But still I am also very concerned about God himself.... The burden and the pain and the sadness that he bears everyday because of all that he sees because of every child he loses to the devil- it is unimaginable. Imagine if you had children and you see them being beaten being mocked being emotional and physically and spiritually hurt day by day imagine losing that child and knowing you can never have them back that child you loved so dearly did everything you could to help them but in the end..... I know he strong enough to deal with this however even though there are things I have been called to do later on if I can I will give up these things and I will stay by his side and if I can I will bear some of the burden.

He had to deal with all this pain and sadness and had to sacrafice so much before out of love for us and when the tribulation happens his heart will hurt more than ever. But if I am able if he allows it I won't let him go through this alone not again, even if all I can do is be by side and comfort him. But then again I wonder how long I can do this without becoming desperate to protect his children

I admit i could not read all the posts in the thread, but this got my attention.. when i was in college, there was some filipino faith healer recognized and being promoted even at the goethe institute here ( ive forgotten the details) but it was like some foreigners (germans too) were being healed so they allowed one to speak at the institute where i got to hear once. Later however, i heard this was more like those praying to another being, and getting ppl healed too and even managing to make 'operation' by removing some tumor or something thru questionable means. I could not elaborate, and it was so long ago.

When or why do you think it should practiced?

I'd prefer just to hear your thoughts, but if you insist on debating please don't bicker. I'm pretty sure I don't have to tell many of members here how aggravating bickering is.

I asked God for help on a problem and the next day no problem.
On the other side nothing changed when I asked but then I willingly made the problem and i do not do that anymore
