if you were baptised as an infant, saying that you were born of the Spirit through that is folly. No one is born of the Spirit through baptism as an infant. Being born of the Spirit requires a personal response to Jesus Christ calling on Him to be your Saviour. The same was required of Mary. And that must result in a daily walk with Him as a consequence of that new birth.

Really? You really want to believe that?

How is baptism a Spiritual rebirth? How does baptism make one a new creation in Christ Jesus?

Please tell us where the scriptures teach us that water washes away sin, and that being immersed in water (you were most likely sprinkled, eh?) makes you a child of God.

How can you mwc68 say you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior when you teach the opposite of what the Holy Spirit says?

The Holy Spirit says Mary was born with sin and Mary was a sinner. You say Mary was without sin. Clearly this shows you do not have the Indwelling of the Holy Spirit mwc68.

Every person who HAS accepted Jesus Christ has the Indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 2:1-4
[SUP]1 [/SUP] When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
[SUP]2 [/SUP] And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
[SUP]3 [/SUP] Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.
[SUP]4 [/SUP] And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Ephesians 1:13-14
[SUP]13 [/SUP] In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
[SUP]14 [/SUP] who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

Every single person who has accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior are filled with the Indwelling of the Holy Spirit mwc68.

Everything you teach mwc68 is the opposite of what the Holy Spirit teaches which proves mwc68 you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

So why are you lying to us mwc68?

If by some chance you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior why are you quenching the Holy Spirit in you by teaching false doctrines from the Roman Catholic Church? If you have received Salvation but are ignoring and quenching the Holy Spirit in you then Matthew chapter 7 applies to you.

Matthew 7:21-23
[SUP]21 [/SUP] "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
[SUP]22 [/SUP] Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'
[SUP]23 [/SUP] And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

Either way mwc68 you will not be allowed to enter into Heaven.

Explain Ez. 36:25-27 please. Was he talking to Jews or the future church? If you say Jews, then explain this Jewish baptism ritual

So you really think that water can wash away sin? How naïve. Scripture knows nothing of becoming a child of God by infant baptism.

One thing is true. You are trusting in a doctrine that came 1000 years too late.

By the way the doctrine of child sacrifice is over 3000 years old. Perhaps you should try that.?

He was talking about the coming of the Holy Spirit, not about baptism. And it was to result in spiritual change among adults. The 'water' was to come down from God, and it was not at man's behest. It has nothing to say about baptism, even though John's baptism was a picture of it.

Water was to be poured on them AFTER they had believed and been saved, as a symbol of what God was doing in them. It was NOT a means of being saved. Nor did it cleanse them. It was a symbol of the coming down of the Holy Spirit as portrayed in Isaiah 32.15; 44.1-5; 55.10-13;Ezekiel 26.24 ff.

A symbol you say? Why not pour dirt on some one? Just a symbol

Explain Titus 3:5 please
Very simple. The 'washing of regeneration' had in mind the rain that came down after the dry season. It washes the earth and produces new life. It was thus a picture of the activity of the Holy Spirit. Compare the 'washing of water WITH THE WORD'. How shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed to it according to His word.'' (Psalm 119.9). It is not referring to the practise of baptism. Paul NEVER refers to baptism as washing.

Because the Holy Spirit was pictured in the Old Testament in terms of rain. Thus when a person was baptised it indicated to the world that he had been born of the Spirit from above.

However pouring dirt on someone might well be useful in symbolising a child becoming a Roman Catholic.

John 3:5, Titus 3:5, Romans 6:3-7, Acts 2:38 22:16, 1 Peter 3:21
John 3.5. Being 'born of water even of the Spirit' was based on the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament being like rain that brought new life to the earth. John's baptism POINTED to it. At this time there was no Christian baptism.

Titus 3.5 is speaking of the washing of regeneration when the rain came down and washed the earth, regenerating it. Again it is a picture of the work of the Holy Spirit, not a reference to baptism.

Romans 6.3-7 has the baptism (drenching) in the Holy Spirit in mind. It is that which causes us to die with Christ and rise with Him.

In 1 Peter 3.21 baptism is specifically said NOT to be a washing from sin, but the testimony of a good conscience towards God through the resurrection of Christ. It is a sign of commitment to Christ by the person being baptised.

What is Paul referring in Titus 3:5?
