I know I'm opening up another can of worms, but I want to start another thread about this topic.

I read on a site, can't remember it, but I read about how we are to pray(I know you've heard that. Hear me out please) for our enemies even if we don't want to. Even if they pursecute us, we still have to pray because that will help us have closure with them. Read Matthew 5:44-48 if you don't believe me.

Sinless Perfection? | Ministry127

This explains all about sinless perfection and how I think, and how I think only is that we can't be perfect. Why do I say that? Because I feel that life would be boring if we all 7 billion of us were perfect like Jesus. Read it. It's interesting.

Let's not bicker if ithat's possible. Pm each other if you feel like starting yes, fights. God bless and let's see how far we can go. And I'm not leaving this thread since I started it. Have fun talking about this popular subject.

IT'S NOT A CAN OF WORMS IF WE DON'T TALK ABOUT IT. is it?

WHERE DID YOU GET THE IDEA THAT IT WILL HELP US HAVE CLOSURE ?
WE BLESS OUR ENEMIES, YAHWEH PERMITTING(not by rote/rule), BECAUSE YAHWEH SAYS TO. (and OUR NEW HEART and RENEWED?ALIVE SPIRIT wants to!!! ) if we don't obey YAHWEH, we are not HIS CHILDREN.

IT SURE WOULD BE NICE TO BE BORED THEN! wouldn't it - instead of 7 BILLION SOULS BEING LOST, and so many being murdered all day long !?

POPULAR???

WHAT do you think your purpose is ?

To not sin, and do what God intended for me to do. Be a good person, and learn to treat people with the love and respect that they DO deserve.

To not sin,
GOOD, AGREE..

and do what God intended for me to do.
GOOD, AGREE..

Be a good person,
AWKWARD AT BEST. hopefully just needs different wording.....

and learn to treat people with the love and respect that they DO deserve.
GOD'S WORD says they (we) (the whole world) all deserve eternal death.
WHAT can be done to avert THAT ???

((GOD DID SOMETHING! (JESUS!!!!!/ SAVIOR/ MESSIAH/ JUDGE/ KING)))
SO WHAT CAN WE DO as a result? ("do what God intended.....")

Tangent for clarity: who gets treated badly, without love and respect ??

I really can't explain that. Maybe say everyone gets treated badly at times? Be a Good Samaritan. Help others in times of need? Idk.

how do you love your enemues? and what IS an enemue?

an enemy is really someone who should be a friend for he/she is the only one who will tell you the truth about yourself - it seems our friends won't because they want to remain our friends - I remember a television ad on BO - wincam

Re: Loving Your Enemies PT. 2

I hopefully corrected the title.

I respectfully disagree about what an enemy is. An enemy is someone who has done something sooooo terrible to you that you decided to unfriend them. I've told the truth to friends and we've been friends for years.

I heard it told that the way to hell is paved with good friends and good works and Jesus went even farther to tell us that a man's enemies shall be even of his own household of friends and he who does not hate them and his own father and mother etc[Lk.14:26] - guess why He said this - wincam

Because He is preparing us to follow Him. And that we must be prepared to give up everything to follow Him.

I'm going to be honest. I haven't slept well in the last couple of day. (I have chronic insomnia.) So I did try to read your link, but my brain is staticky. I will try to read it again, when I have a full brain.

But as for perfect being boring, do you think Jesus was boring? That's what perfection looks like. I wouldn't mind that. I simply know I'm not getting it. (Ah, something I don't have to think deep thoughts about. lol)

Some of my enemies weren't friends I unfriended. Some of them didn't even know me before they intentionally and painfully hurt me.

Re: Loving Your Enemies PT. 2

What do you mean? I'm confused.
If a friend says something or does something I don't like, that friend doesn't become an enemy. The friend is still a friend, but now we have to resolve issues.

Here's my partial list of true enemies in my life:
1. The kid who kicked me so hard I had a bruise on my thigh in the shape of his shoe, and I didn't even know who he was or why he did that.

2. The five girls in my class who surrounded my desk and pummeled me, until the teacher came into the room. (My big crime was I asked the one behind me in class to please remove her foot off of the back of my chair, because she was making my skirt dirty.) That same group of girls chased me and beat me every day until school was over that year.

3. The boy who made me take off all my clothes so the neighborhood boys could see what an eight year old girl's body looked like and how girls are different than boys. (He made me, because if I didn't, he would beat me up and keep beating me up, until I did do that.)

4. My cousin's grandfather who molested me.

5. The five guys who picked me up when I was hitchhiking just to rape me.

6. The doctor who didn't know what caused my severe pain when it first happened, but 15 years later, instantly knew the cause, giving the surgeon a way to avoid paying any damages, since the statute of limitations was over 13 years before her memory improved instantly. (Actually, she simply forgot she had been my doctor before, and told me the cause.)

In my mind, an enemy isn't merely friend or family that I'm having an argument with at any given time. It's someone who deliberately and willfully hurt me for no good reason.

I think we downplay what God asks of us about forgiving enemies if we consider any little slight making someone an enemy. Enemies are dangerous, and yet we are to love them.

I did not say anywhere that we are to hate our enemies. At least I don't think. Guys, just a heads up: if you're going to accuse me of saying something, can you please at least put the post #(s) please so I can go look at what I said? Just a tiny request. Thanks.

Giving up up everything means of course to leave your family, friends, etc to go follow Jesus and be a part of the Christian faith.

If our enemies truly knew and loved Christ they wouldn't be enemies anymore.

So, in that way, they aren't really enemies, they are just deluded. Controlled by the enemy of our souls.

I think if we look at it that way we can more easily pray for our enemies.

Maybe.

We may learn in the Bible that we should love our enemy.

And this part could be easily understand wrongly, like that we should like pray and almost like hug our enemies, even though we do not find actually that kind of behavior in the Gospel's or the letters of dear brother apostles.

Our lord in the cross he pray for hes enemies, saying that "Father forgive them, because they do not know what they are doing"

And Stefanos by words. "Lord do not count this sin on them"

And this were like the last words what they say, but before that, there was rebuking, teaching, exhortations and all that kind of speak in use, what we should also use for our enemies today, instead that we start to make prayers for them, or speak nice things about them, because that is not the way what we should go, but newer we should like curse them, but always be like ready help them if they turn, but not being to too nearby to them.

So it is not about to be a friend to our enemies, but to be the light for everyone, which spread the truth.
