Hey, my brothers AND sisters in Christ. I know sometimes we don't see eye to eye on things, and that doesn't matter. I love you all no matter what. I love how we are here for one thing and one thing only. To fellowship with each other and learn from each other if we make a mistake or two or a million. We are here to lift each other up and be there when we are down and out. So, from one brother in Christ to all of you,"I love y'all from the bottom of my big ole heart."❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This is a far too common problem. Especially those of us who like ribbing others take it for granted that others are going to see it as 'a funny' but often it ends up hurting.
One solution is first get to know better the one we are 'kidding with' and don't push their button if they are not the 'jokey' type.

And bs that's me. Seriously. I'm not the jokey type when it comes to forums. So, try if you can to not joke when I'm posting. If not I understand. But I still love you no matter what.

Ok, I can be pretty jokey when I get possessed (there I go again), but I will sincerely try to remember that.
Maybe there can be some special type icons which would indicate to others 'open for funnies' or 'don't even go there'.

OK. I'll try to remember. But I must warn you. I'm very forgetful. Yes, I'm being serious.

It would be better for me if you were not so serious...seriously.

I tell you what, I'll give a little if you will. Ok? Then, maybe I'll be a little more serious and you will be a little less serious. I think it would be a great compromise.

Let me give it a go with the following joke. Stop freaking out! It's kind of serious. Geesh! OK, here goes...

While walking along the sidewalk in front of his church, our minister heard the intoning of a prayer that nearly made his collar wilt. Apparently his five-year-old son and his playmates had found a dead robin. Feeling that proper burial should be performed, they had secured a small box and cotton batting, then dug a hole and made ready for the disposal of the deceased. The minister's son was chosen to say the appropriate prayers and with sonorous dignity intoned his version of what he thought his father always said, "Glory be unto the Faaaather, and unto the Sonnnn. . . and into the hole you goooo."

Now I don't know about you but I sat a little straighter when I was reading the prayer part.(Looking...looking...I don't see a smiley face with its head bowed and eyes closed. Shoot!)

Ooh! One last request. Could you use a less serious Jesus as your avatar. I'm being serious, again. Maybe one of Him smiling or the one of Him holding a sheep.:)

Yes. It's beautiful, Dana. When I look at it I feel love and peace. Of course you can have whatever avatar you like. But it was a nice gesture to change it for me.

In my previous posts I was trying to lighten your spirits by being funny and goofy, but obviously it was not the right approach or I didn't do a very good job of it. If I offended you in any way I sincerely apologize.
