It was a happy coincidence, dear sister.

It too am rather tall, and before I learned to drive, I was almost always in the middle car seat. I'm tall too, so that was fun. Not. I used to get really bad motion-sickness on journeys too - lots of windy roads - that sort of thing. Now, because I drive most of the time, it's not really an issue. But when I'm not driving, I would have the window down or the car fan/air-conditioner blowing in my face, watch the road in front of me, drink water, have some ginger or dry biscuits. In rare cases, salt and vinegar chips would help. It was a royal pain in the butt and I learned to hate travelling (it takes ages to get anywhere in Australia). I love to read and that would've whiled away the many hours, but nooooo, I had to be the person who got motion-sickness! Oh, well.

Did you use to play games in the car to pass the boredom, like Simon says etc? :)

I live in Vancouver, Canada. So our family road trips comprises of going through the U.S.A. border to get cheap gas and cheese... we stop occasionally to Seattle Outlets, i must confess ;)

But I also do like going to Whistler and sometimes on the B.C. ferry to Vancouver Island. Do a bit of hiking and biking.
I'm in Ontario and also border to Michigan :) Welcome to this awesome thread! I heart everyone here!

I know my sister and I would play license plate tag and I spy. We actually would have bags upon bags of stuff we would bring to do. A must have would be a coloring book and crayons and hey, I still love to color
