Oh... I thought the Australian economy was going down hill with the reduce price in Iron ore prices and resource minerals like LNG. Not sure why Abbot is spending money like we have heaps to spend..we should be spending on things to improve the economy.

I'm planning to head to Australia during this December. I was reading that temperatures can get up to 44 degree Celsius/111.2 Fahrenheit? Is this correct, or just some exaggeration from tourist..As locals, do you find temperature soar around those temperature mark? Thanks 
No it gets pretty hot, but last summer was hardly hot so it might not be so bad once you get here.I'm planning to head to Australia during this December. It can get hot in Australia. Sometimes it can spike up to 40, but like what realchild4life said, it's not so hot lately, who knows. But I suggest you come prepare for long hot days..... hope you don't mind the flies.
