Like the question,"to be or not to be?" I ask,"to Facebook or not to Facebook?" If you care to share why or why not you choose to be on there fine. If not, then I understand.

I used to be on. I think from 2008-2012, or something. I decided to delete my account cause of the drama on there with my family, and my mom telling me what to say, and not to say. And my dad getting after me telling me no one needs to tell you where they're going, what they're doing. None of their business. So, I'm done. September 2 is when I quit. I think it'll be 3 years this year. People ask me why I'm not on anymore, and I just say,"cause I'm not." It also got boring. No offense to you FB lovers.

I have never had a face book account and I would not want one,
far too much drama and too many chances of causing offence
to someone.

I have a family member who lives out her whole life on Facebook,
she posts throughout the day about what she is doing, like I really mean
everything washing up, brushing her teeth, cleaning, buying some
milk etc. Thing is, she expects all her friends to read them and respond!

Aside from the constant updates of family members who will expect you to
join in, I also go to a church with a 1000 plus people, then there is the people
at work, people I know from previous churches, people I know but which I
don't want to know. LOL

Then there is also the problem of how do you tell someone politely you do
not want to accept their friend request.

I am leaving that one well alone!

I do not have a facebook. I used to have an account and realized that there was way too much drama on the site and I just got tired of it. I don't understand how someone can be a Christian and be around that constantly:confused: I will never have another facebook account

If, and I mean if, I were to get another one later down the line, I'd only follow true Christians and orginazations that are Christian related. Not gonna happen though. I prefer this site for now and forevermore.

I have a facebook account and I am SO GLAD I do because it was through facebook I came to know Christ. I now run a Christian ladies' group on there and about 1/3 of my contacts are Christians. No drama for me, I ignore the trivia and concentrate on the great evangelising tool that is facebook.

BTW I don't do twitter.

I have it. I use it. But i'm not addict. I unfollow anyone obnoxious that i feel obligated to have on there (family) so i don't have to see their crap. It's only been in the past year or two that i've used it more to post, and even then it's still not a lot. So i don't use it to socialize a lot and don't have drama as a result of being on there.

I've had my fb account for going on 10 years, I think. I joined back when it was available for college students based on which university you attended. I remember all of my friends going into shock/panic when their parents, siblings, and bosses eventually joined.

Now, I love fb for keeping in touch with old high school classmates, friends and family that live in different countries. I don't take it too seriously and don't over share. I have the ability to delete people that are irritating and filter what I see and what others access. It's fun.

Sounds like most of us don't have an FB account and don't want one whatsoever.

What about Facebook eh ?
So To Facebook or not to Facebook ?
To give my opinion to this subject,
I'll explain it that I don't have any Facebook!
I decided to deleted my account since one
or two years ago, you know what ?
I'm really PROUD & GLAD!
Because it's easy to sin with Facebook..
Facebook made me so addict that I was always
on this Website!
Here on CC this' not the same thing...
Here it's a Christians website that people
keep progressing to be with God..
Anyway you wanted to tell that
without Facebook, I don't have any supplementary problems! ;)
YEAH!!!!!!

My family is fairly non-dramatic, so I love facebook for long-distance familial connections

I enjoy having discussions on Facebook and keeping up-to-date with family and friends. That said, some discussions get out of hand. Some don't take kindly to faith-based discussions and then there are those Christians who go bunta (Viking-mad) when you mention and side with biblical creation not theistic evolution or old ages. It's rather sad. I try to keep a cool head. So, you could say my Facebook experience is a lot like my experiences on CC - often good and sometimes rather intense and uncomfortable.

Tin, I haven't ribbed you in a while so you might think about changing that avatar of yours, it makes your creation stance a little suspect.

I'm not sure that I understand the correlation between the two. A Christian is a follower of Christ, not someone who doesn't regularly use Facebook. ;)
