Yet your own catechism says you are to do such things. And the reason they give is:
#2132 "... Indeed, 'the honor rendered to an image passes to it's prototype,' and 'whoever venerates an image venerates the person portrayed in it.' "
So, you indeed worship images/idols because the RCC teaches that when you do it, you are worshiping the person behind it.
Thus, that would include Mary worship and worship of the "Saints".
Why mwc68 are you looking to Mary for anything?

There is nothing that God cannot do for us.

So why are you spending any of your time asking Mary to do anything for you mwc68? Mary is totally powerless and can do nothing for us mwc68 so why are you praying the "Hail Mary" prayer mwc68? Why are you praying the Rosary mwc68?
If nothing is impossible with God then there is nothing God cannot do. If God can do everything we need and want mwc68 why are you pursuing Mary for anything at all?

LOL! People who really know God through faith in Jesus Christ give ample honor to Mary. We don't fall all over ourselves and over Jesus to give it. The RCC has morphed proper honor into idolatry, through its pagan associations. God will definitely have something to say about that one day very soon. I hope that you will be able to make the correction, and humble yourself before the Lord in repentance before that day, so that you may join us in exultation of Jesus Christ, fully!
