My brother passed away...I just found out tonight. Could use a hug or two...

Student...So sorry to hear of your loss, but want to lift you up in prayer to the Lord. Lord Jesus I lift up student now, and ask you to bring comfort to him. Let your love completely cover him & give him Strength, as your word says that you comfort the downcast, and will never leave us or forsake us or leave us in our times of need. In Jesus name...

I'm so sorry for your loss,it has almost been a month since my brother died.
 
I always hate these threads. Your brother is partying before the Throne of God, taking it all in, and exclaiming "no lie!" I just find it hard to grieve over that. Yes I know you will miss him but he's partying before the Throne of God, taking it all in, and exclaiming "no lie"! The emotion I feel at times like this is envy... I think Paul did too, when he said to live is Christ and to die is gain (Phil 1:21). And again when he said he longed to die, but for God's purposes would persevere here and now (Phil 1:23). And again in Philippians 3:10 where he longed to know the experience of the transition. Your loved one is partying before the Throne of God, taking it all in, and exclaiming "no lie!" Think of that whenever you start to feel that he - or you - have suffered some kind of defeat here.
 
Lord heal the broken hearted in Jesus NAme. :) O God, whom I praise, do not remain silent, for wicked and deceitful men have opened their mouths against me; they have spoken against me with lying tongues.
 
Prayers going up for you and your family. May the Lord give you and family strength to get through this trying time! In everything, trust in the Lord!
