Then it become all about words and the definitions of the words of worship

One of the words for worship in Hebrew is shachah # 7812 and the other in Aramaic cĕgid # 5457 both are used interchangebly even in respects to what not to do with images. Examples of this are found in Exodus 32:8 where shachah is used and in Dan 3:10 where cĕgid is used

The word Paul uses in respects to
the bowing of the knee to the image of Baal and includes in its definition "religious veneration" in Rom 11:4 its the word kamptō # 2578 Outside of Rom 11:4 is used in respects to an image of Baal and in truth used 3 other times as belonging only to God as is shown in Rom 14:11, Ephes 3:14 and Phil 2:10.

NT the Greek words for worship, one is proskyneō # 4352 an example of which is shown in Rev 22:8 in respects to a man falling down before an angel and also aman falling down before the apostle Peter in Acts 10:35-36 It is also used in respects to figures they made in Acts 7:43. In the verse before it is used interchangably with the word latreuō # 3000 (Acts 7:42) is the same word used in respects to serving the creature" more then the Creator (unto which He gave them up to) in Rom 1:25 . Also in Acts 7:42 another word for worship which is sebazomai # 4573 is used (which means to to fear, be afraid, honour religiously, or to worship) even the host of heaven in that example. That which they gave up to the host of heaven and the creature ( which also belongs to God only) as Jesus himself confirms in Mat 4:10

And yet another word for worship is found in respects to visible devotions which Paul tells them to repent of as is shown in Acts 17:23. Whereas here is the word eusebeō # 2151 which means to dutifully regard (which they were actually doing) but only in respect to visible devotions. The word is used twice and shown (in the truth) as belonging to family in respects to showing piety at home an example of which is shown in 1Ti 5:4 So its a displaced form of regarding one thing (such as in "visible devotions" but falsely so) over and against the other (where such a regard should truly be placed). The last one I found is called "will worship" or ethelothrēskia # 1479 and I only see that used once in Col 2:23 in a negative sense.

It doesn't take divine power to see church doctrine calling for people to worship an idol.
i agree but unfortunately your reply has nothing to do with what i said, i said nothing of church doctrine.

so ur saying that if someone lives by all the teachings of Jesus, does not support church dogma they believe to be wrong, they only support the bible and not laws of man, they will still go to hell because they call themselves catholic?

im starting to believe some of you people have never met any catholics and are coming to this conclusion from tv.

I'm not sure exactly what your asking and it really sounds like a set up to further dog Catholicism, but here goes. I was raised in the Church. Born and bred Catholic , Italian with a Texas accent! Lol I have known about Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ my whole life. When did I accept Him into my heart? I was in 8th grade and we had an assembly with a comedian. This guy was hilarious! He was promoting a show later that evening and my sister and I begged my mom to let us go. A neighor of ours was going and mom let us go with them. The event was being held at the big local baptist church. When the show started, He was just as funny as he was at school. Then he started telling us kids his personal story, testimony if you will. As I listened, I agreed more and more, afterall I had been raised with Jesus as a big part of my life. Then he did what I guess you would say is an altar call. My sister actually went to the front there, but I stayed in my seat and prayed and asked Jesus to come into my heart! From that moment church has been different for me. I feel the burn in my heart when I am in His will and the strong conviction when I face temptation. I hope this makes sense. I am a Christian and always will be. That's why I take some offense at the suggestion that I'm not.The year was 1983 and I don't remember the exact date, but it was fall football season.
Now that wasn't hard, was it?

As a Christian person, you need to continually take stock concerning your walk. Where it veers away from scripture, such as adhering to many catholic traditions (which are not biblical, and are in fact anti-biblical) as you mature in Christ by obeying His word (and not catholic traditions), He will lead you away from the false religion and into His Way. The longer you stay where you are, the more stunted you will become, spiritually.

I never said that. I believe their are some "catholics" who do not worship the idols of their self-proclaimed church. They are not really catholics because they do not follow catholic dogma. So are there "catholics" who are saved? I cant say for sure but odds are there are some.

That's just the thing, I don't think I've become stunted. I have grown spiritually and my walk with the Lord is amazing. My life is truly blessed

Galatians 5:16-25
[SUP]16 [/SUP] I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
[SUP]17 [/SUP] For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.
[SUP]18 [/SUP] But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
[SUP]19 [/SUP] Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,
[SUP]20 [/SUP] idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,
[SUP]21 [/SUP] envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
[SUP]22 [/SUP] But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
[SUP]23 [/SUP] gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
[SUP]24 [/SUP] And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
[SUP]25 [/SUP] If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Jaybird88 read what Galatians 5:16-25 says. The Holy Spirit says if you PRACTICE these things you will not enter into Heaven.

Practice: the action or process of performing or doing something.

Its not about if you do sin because you are weak, its about doing a sin over and over again knowing that what you are doing is a sin but refusing to stop doing this sin. Praying the Rosary is a sin because you are praying to Mary. When you pray the Rosary you are praying to Mary by the Hail Mary prayer jaybird88. If you keep on praying the Rosary you will not be allowed to enter into Heaven. Its as simple as that but for some reason the Roman Catholics have a very hard time understanding what God is saying to them.

These verses are not talking about an occasional sin you commit when you are weak, these verses are talking a sin that you willingly do over and over and over again everyday even when you know it is a sin to do this.

Any prayers to Mary is a sin. Any prayers to Saints is a sin. Teaching that Mary was without sin is a sin. Teaching that Mary was assumed into Heaven is a sin. Teaching that Mary helps God bring Salvation to us is a sin. If you keep on doing these sins over and over again you will not be allowed to enter into Heaven.

I never received Salvation in the Roman Catholic Church because they teach you receive Salvation by being Baptized as a baby.

I did receive Salvation after I left the Roman Catholic Church and found a True Christian Church. I received Salvation back in the 1960's when I realized the Roman Catholic Church had been lying to me, trying to keep me out of Heaven!

Salvation is not to be found in the Roman Catholic Church. This is why both of us found Salvation OUTSIDE of the Roman Catholic Church.

It does not matter if a person calls himself a Christian, a Catholic, or a Martian. What matters is has that person confessed with their mouth that Jesus Christ is God.

Romans 10:9
[SUP]9 [/SUP] that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

This all a person has to do to receive Salvation.

Ephesians 2:8-9
[SUP]8 [/SUP] For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
[SUP]9 [/SUP] not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Now that we have received Salvation we need to do the Will of the Father.

Matthew 7:21
[SUP]21 [/SUP] "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

What is the Will of the Father?

Galatians 5:16-25

When we willingly do the works of the flesh, when we practice the works of the flesh. we are not doing the Will of the Father and we will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Romans 6:12
[SUP]12 [/SUP] Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.

James 4:17
[SUP]17 [/SUP] Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.

If we walk in the Light with Jesus Christ His Blood cleanses us from all sin. Therefore we are to walk with Jesus Christ in the Light. We are not to walk with Mary or with the Roman Catholic Church. We are only to walk with Jesus Christ and no one else for if we do we are sinning.

1 John 1:7
[SUP]7 [/SUP] But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

If you have received Salvation mwc68 and jaybird88, but yet continue to practice sin, to willingly sin, you will not be allowed to inherit the kingdom of God.

Who has the only Authority to say what is a sin? Is it God or is it the Roman Catholic Church?

Its God only who says what is and isn't a sin, not the Roman Catholic Church.

Therefore if the Roman Catholic Church teaches its not a sin to pray the Rosary and you continue to pray the Rosary you will not be allowed to inherit the kingdom of God because God has said this is a sin. You are not to do what the Roman Catholic Church teaches. You are to do only what God teaches. thomas cholin too, btw ---- a more subtle, insidious, still pernicious heresy that's been here for some time. and lately mystery______ , wondering herself why things don't go well for her, yet not willing to turn to God in Truth to be saved from sin and from death and from the world and from the heresy rcc catholic demonic religion.

they like the 'feeling' they're 'accepted' by the pope and bishops and priests, who condemn their souls to hades forever,
and
they want some kind of personal gratification here online with other people - an acceptance of their perverse and deadly heresy.... trying to ease their conscience (if they have one left)...

and some other who are not roman abomination catholics do rather 'accept the heresy' instead of stand up for the truth so that perhaps their souls may be saved instead of condemned....

round and round and round it goes..... until the end, and then the judgment. it is certain.

There is no point in debating with anybody who is set in a false teaching so hard that they can not accept straight forward scriptural evidence that shows what they have been taught contradicts the Word of God.

The bible itself warns about this blindness to the scriptures, because of people who put their faith and trust in man's traditions, teachings, and standards over God's in His Word.

This goes deeper then just the Catholics though as other denominations have bad branches as well thrust deep in false doctrines.

I have tried my hardest to show straight forward biblical truth as well as given clear historical evidence by documents written by the early Apostles and disciples from the 1st century of the Church. Both of course were still denied or twisted because it clearly proved their stance wrong.
I left the Catholic church after being in it for 5 years do to the contradictory teaches, and I then looked into the OSAS theology but found in studies too many scriptures in the bible and early church documents from the 1st century that deny this teaching as well.

The very fact you are defending praying the Rosary which is praying to Mary mwc68 means even though you have received Salvation, by continuing to sin by praying to Mary, God cannot allow you into Heaven mwc68.

Once saved always saved is still true mwc68. BUT you cannot continue to sin all day long and expect God to still allow you into Heaven. One of the attributes of a person who has received Salvation is to stop sinning. How can you say you have received Salvation if nothing in you has changed and you keep on sinning willingly every day mwc68?

Romans 6:1-14
[SUP]1 [/SUP] What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?
[SUP]2 [/SUP] Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
[SUP]3 [/SUP] Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?
[SUP]4 [/SUP] Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
[SUP]5 [/SUP] For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection,
[SUP]6 [/SUP] knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.
[SUP]7 [/SUP] For he who has died has been freed from sin.
[SUP]8 [/SUP] Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him,
[SUP]9 [/SUP] knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him.
[SUP]10 [/SUP] For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.
[SUP]11 [/SUP] Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
[SUP]12 [/SUP] Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.
[SUP]13 [/SUP] And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
[SUP]14 [/SUP] For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

We are not to keep on sinning just because we can sin. We are to stop sinning and walk in the Light with Jesus Christ. You cannot keep on praying the Rosary mwc68. Praying the Rosary makes Mary your God which is a sin and if you continue in it refusing to listen to the Truth mwc68 even though you have Salvation God cannot allow you into Heaven with this sin on you.
