I believe in Christ's life, death and resurrection, the Paschal Mystery
Yet you teach (or at least your church does) that these events have no power over death.

How can you say you believe in it, when you dont?

Mere belief is not enough, even demons believe and tremble. when are you going to TRUST in the firstfruits of our salvation. and stop trusting your church?

We believe in earthly, living saints interceding for one another as part of our life in Christ. That is what the bible teaches. What you believe is unbiblical, and of course you have no biblical knowledge to support the catholic fantasy about that.
They make these so called saints (which God calls every one of his children saints, not just a selct few chosen by the church) and mary out to be Gods, omniscient and omnipresent. for how else can they hear anyones prayers.

And lets not forget. God is so weak, he can not hear all of our prayers, or answer all of them. he needs help so he makes everyone a God (notice the pagan influence of the church?)

Yes, it is a rapture fairy tale, in my opinion.

Many of those bashing Catholics relentlessly on this thread have a whole lot of fairly tales.

Like Young Earth Creationism.

As in, the world is around 6,000 years old, dinosaurs coexisted with humans, and there was a global flood around 4,500 years ago.

I'm interested in your view on those issues.

And that of fordman and any other Catholics.

I understand a Catholic is permitted some latitude on those issues.
*gasp* OH NO!!! Not another non-christian believing the Bible is a fairy tale!!! WHAT EVER SHALL WE DO!!?!???

the would be to evangelize to the unbeliever like you and mwc, but judging by your ability to twist and ignore scripture to fit the views of your own God, there are other issues to be addressed thaf i doubt i could address.

Pearls before swine and all that

Satan loves to make people think the bible is meaningless, and just a book.

Amazing to see people still fall for his tricks.

Why thank you. :)

Lol....And you are in a state of complete abnegation! If you feel what I posted on the doxolgy at the end of the Lord's Prayer is nothing more than trivial nonsense, prove me wrong. Show me where in Scripture Jesus Himself said those words.

Yes I can see that Roman Catholics would not want to say that the Kingly Rule, the power and the glory were all God's. After all they have to be shared with Mary and the pope.

But the words ARE Scriptural. They are found in 1 Chronicles 29.11 (as I have no doubt you well know? So who is the hypocrite here?).

Are you saying that we should not pray a Scriptural prayer? (I can understand that RCs might not. They have a poor view of Scripture preferring the Pope and his heresies).

Will the Scriptures of the Roman church (latin versions) do? There they are found in Matthew 6.13.

But I can see why people might be suspicious of a Roman Bible.

Its interesting that all the Roman Catholics on this site hate the Holy Spirit and Worship Mary as their God. They do just the opposite of what God says.

Its a waste of time bringing them the Gospel of Salvation because all they do is trample on the very Words from God!

Mary is their God and they will follow Mary into Hell for all Eternity. Why are we still trying to show them the Truths from God? All the Roman Catholics here do not want God or His message because they have Mary who in their minds is greater than God.

After all they totally believe it was Mary by herself without the help of God that kept Jesus Christ sinless. It was by the Powers of Mary that she was able to do something that God could not do. This is what the Roman Catholics believe and this is what the Roman Catholics teach.

I believe that all the Roman Catholics on this site are possessed by a Demon from Satan. This explains why they trample on the very Word of God and teach the Doctrines of Demons!

Like i have said before mwc68, "get thee behind me Satan"! And this also applies to all the Roman Catholics on this site.

They will not follow the mary of scripture to hell. She is in heaven, and would probably be devastated if she knew people were using her name in this pagan ritual.

Theyy do not worship Mary, they worship the pagan queen of heaven, they just changed her name to mary. thats all.

Ho please, at least if so do not hate the sinner, just the sin. I can see they are led away from the truth, so most of them don't even know, read no bible... Bring it to them as requested by the Lord, help them to be saved.

God who command to love is also command to expose the darkness.

Mean expose the darkness is not hatred. Expose the darkness is love, so our catholic brother and sister able to see that they are walking in the direction of hell.

The Mary in the Bible is dead and in the grave. The Mary the Roman Catholics follow is a Demon.

It is true the Roman Catholic Church teaches only Mary had the power to Keep Jesus Christ free from sin. They teach God could not, that only Mary being without sin could keep Jesus Christ without sin. But the interesting thing is they teach the Mother of Mary did not have to be without sin. Hmmmm...interesting.

If God could not keep Jesus from sin, then He could not keep the Mother of Mary free from sin. Therefore this Doctrine is teaching it was by the power of Mary herself that she keep herself without sin and not God.

See how the Roman Catholic Church has put their Mary way above God!

This is why the Roman Catholics worship Mary so much more than God.

Mwc68, Pope John Paul II is in Hell right now for Worshiping Mary as his God. And soon you too will be with him in Hell if you keep on the road you are on.

REPENT AND ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR, mwc68!

No Christians here at CC
Wrong, again. some people here are harsher than others, but in general, we concur that Catholicism is a false religion of men and it will serve to keep you from all that God has for you. Those people who find the truth in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ find the Lord leading them out of the RCC to a better place in which to hear the refreshing truth.

Are you a Young Earth Creationist?

Isn't Young Earth Creationism a false religion of men (and women)?

That's NOT in the Bible! "Hate the sin; love the sinner"

And the origin of the phrase goes to - St. Augustine and Gandhi - it’s a bookend tie! The phrase itself as we know it came directly from Gandhi’s 1929 autobiography. However, in Augustine’s letter 211, written around 424, is the phrase,

... Hating the sin while claiming to love the sinner gives us an opportunity to place more emphasis on the shortcomings of others rather than ourselves. In Matthew 7, Jesus told us to judge not, lest we should be judged. Concerning sin, he told us not to fuss about the speck of sawdust in our brother or sister’s eye when we’re blinded by a 2x4 plank in our own eye. Or, in John 8, a group of people point out to Jesus a woman who had been caught in adultery and remind him that the law teaches she should be stoned to death, and they want his response, and he says, “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone” (John 8:7).

In other words, it is quite inappropriate for us to go around pointing out the faults, shortcomings, failures, and weaknesses of others when we still have so many of our own. “Hate the sin; love the sinner” fails to meet this test because it focuses not on our own sin, but on that of someone else. The Scriptures clearly teach that “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:32), but the caution for Christians is to remember that this applies to us on the inside as well as those we perceive to be on the outside, and perhaps we who live in stained-glass houses should think twice before we start throwing stones.

https://carm.org/does-god-hate-anyone

God is love (1 John 4:8), but God also punishes the sinner and hates all who do iniquity. God is not one sided. He is not simply an infinitely loving God. He is also infinitely just. He must deal with sin. He must punish the sinner.
In the truth of God's word, we find that the Lord has provided one way by which we may be saved. That single way is through Jesus' sacrifice. For all who trust in Him, salvation will come. But to those who turn away, God's wrath abides upon them: "He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him," (John 3:36).
Does God hate anyone?

Does God hate anyone? The answer is yes.

  • Psalm 5:5, "The boastful shall not stand before Thine eyes; Thou dost hate all who do iniquity,"
  • Psalm 11:5, "The Lord tests the righteous and the wicked, and the one who loves violence His soul hates."
  • Lev. 20:23, "Moreover, you shall not follow the customs of the nation which I shall drive out before you, for they did all these things, and therefore I have abhorred them."
  • Prov. 6:16-19, "There are six things which the Lord hates, yes, seven whichare an abomination to Him: 17 Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 18 A heart that devises wicked plans, feet that run rapidly to evil, 19 A false witness who utters lies, and one who spreads strife among brothers."
  • Hosea 9:15, "All their evil is at Gilgal; indeed, I came to hate them there! Because of the wickedness of their deeds I will drive them out of My house! I will love them no more; All their princes are rebels."

Are we to love the sinner but hate the sin?

Even as Christians, we cannot love perfectly, nor can we hate perfectly (i.e., without malice). But God can do both of these perfectly, because He is God. God can hate without any sinful intent. Therefore, He can hate the sin and the sinner in a perfectly holy way and still lovingly forgive the sinner at the moment of repentance and faith (Malachi 1:3; Revelation 2:6; 2 Peter 3:9).

Do you love us enough to hear our heart?
10. Avoid hate the sin, love the sinner rhetoric

Now take a minute to listen to yourselves. Hate the sin, love the sinner comes across as mean-spirited instead of loving. We hear it as an ill-disguised attempt to seem loving when you really don't even like us let alone love us.

When it comes to sexual orientation, it is impossible to separate the sin from the sinner. Your heterosexual orientation is not something you do, it's who you are. In the same way, our orientation is not something we do, it's who we are. You can't hate our “sin” without hating us. Whether you agree or not is irrelevant. I'm just telling you how we perceive your rhetoric.
