Sure...its how I live my life...God is faithful and He always knows who and what we need ....truth is I may need a gal with a little spunk? but I do admire those who are able to yield to a good, gentle and godly man.

The marriage is not only money, tv, ironing and popcorn. Ok Ladies, we do live in America. We have our freedom. The one fact that hasn't been addressed is that is Ladies are the one saying "Yes" to marry the Man to begin with. Biblically, he is to be the head of the household. It's our decision who we choose to run the household. We are given the knowledge to enable us to choose wisely, in scripture. I don't see why there's any room to place blame. Or to belittle a man for a desire to truly follow scripture. The World may have changed its fashion through time, God's word has not.
 
I'm fairly traditional, but I own and run my own business and I wouldn't expect my (new) husband to a) take that over, or b) be in charge of that area of my life, or c) have me quit/sell the business. Would we discuss business decisions? Probably.

IDK - in some ways I come off fairly dominant, but I'm not married and I was rather submitted to my husband when he was alive. I struggle with putting this out there, because I'm not a woman who will just roll over, but I have always given my husband his due generously...and he made it easy to do so as we adored each other.

I don't think your question is offensive at all. I also wondered about this same question in relation to a male partner. I think it's fair to assume that you think only prior generations had a devotion such as the one you're hoping to find; however, it doesn't have as much to do with someone's generation, but with the character of the individual we choose in a relationship. Many people from prior generations married & divorced and sadly even Christians. It would be great if we, God's children, would heed his word & live it. I made the mistake of being unequally yolked in marriage. It takes time to really get to know someone. I hope you are true to what you desire in a relationship - keeping in mind that you will have to provide your end of the Biblical description of the husband you should be to a wife. God bless.
 
No offense taken here, I believe God created Eve for Adam to be his helper. Husband and wife should make decisions together in a marriage, and both should serve each other. Ultimately the husband is the man and should protect his wife, marriage and family and lead the family in worship.
