Although, we could turn this into a discussion on the 24 Elders?
It might be more productive than this useless bickering?

I'm sure DCon would chime in? :)

l will start.
I believe that the 24 Elders are mentioned in Revelation? Just my opinion though.
It seems that the 24 Elders are men that have been chosen by the Lord to sit on 24 thrones around THE THRONE and are specifically mentioned in Revelation......I have always pondered their identities......but I do believe it is 24 individuals given the authority to rule under Jesus....possible 12 faithful men of the O.T. and the Apostles minus Judas who was lost and to include Paul.....not saying it is...just a thought.....maybe just 24 random Saints throughout human history that were faithful.......

Doesn't Luke 22:30 state that 12 of them will be the Apostles?

Sorry, it was a summary, and sarcasm. ( Which is my reputation)
My apologies. IMO, he has claimed worse things,..... lMO (so l wont have to dig through his posts)

The guy is a bit out there, but l'm pretty sure he knows hes not one of the 24 Elders?
I think?

He has claimed to be able to judge....get the reference?
If it is true that he claims to be one of the 24 elders then he is a very delusional fellow seeing that I appointed the 24 :p (kidding/joke/laugh people)

I've long believed much highly suspect here. There's every indication some are trolls, who may not even have any strong religious conviction, as evidenced by a one-track diatribe that stirs a pot. People of religious conviction have a much wider interest in the things even they only think are of God. I believe there are cases we're just being had by some sociopaths, who crave any sort of attention. Remember that trolls are disingenuous, pretending, fake it the way psychopaths fake emotion. Somebody saying the same thing, 24x7, is mentally ill.

As opposed to those who refer to him as a crazy uncle, one of the three wisemen, part of the fantastic four, one of the 24 elders and so on?

I've had the misfortune of reading the posts on this thread and it caused my stomach to churn.

I think that the comment about standing in front of the mirror was the only one worthy of reading.

Oh lighten up....everyone is someone elses crazy person.

I've pondered the same thing, but I doubt that Paul would be numbered among the twelve apostles despite his vast contributions to Christianity and the furtherance of the gospel. Paul separated himself from the twelve in I Corinthians chapter 15 verses 3 thru 10 even though he labored more abundantly than them all:

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

I like how some people place a stake in the moral high ground and say we are just supposed to roll over when someone is a sociopath and spews their filth. As if feeling sorry for them will help them. I loathe the thought that the men in scripture were delicate little flowers who didn't get all up in someones grill when it was required.

There's also the reality that, if somebody is trolling, feeding them encourages the behavior, "forever." Also, the apostles weren't instructed to go to a town and take up permanent residence with disbelievers, rather to dust off their feet and move on, no?

It for sure states that they will sit on thrones judging, but at that time and even now Judas was lost and will not make heaven...he is called a devil from the beginning, the Son of Perdition.....does it specifically say that these Apostles will be part of the 24 Elders? Not saying it isn't them....just I didn't see it specifically tie them to the 24....I know the gates to New Jerusalem will be named after the Apostles as well if I remember right.....all I know is at the end of the day I am sure our focus will be on Jesus :)

Now that I think about it, I doubt that the Apostles are part of the 24 elders. John was given the vision of them and he was one of the twelve Apostles. Did he have a vision of himself? It doesn't make sense.

It's weird. I've seriously considered that the 12 Apostles were part of the 24 elders for years and a lightbulb just went on. I wonder what else I've missed? Always learning.

if you're a corrupt sinner, jesus can save you. he died for you, very literally. he was crucified to take away the sins of mankind.

if you keep searching to see 'how' to be saved, call on Jesus, directly, immediately, for his very own and very direct help.

if you want to be saved, forget this forum - it will only confuse new believers. a lot of old believers and all of the unbelievers are harmed daily by the various means of the enemy here. new believers have
little chance anyplace on the internet. there are safe places, in line with GOD'S WORD. seek those, and do not settle for compromise , greedy leaders or teachers, or any lie.

call on Jesus to be saved, and He will save you. He will direct your steps. read HIS WORD.
pray constantly. don't trust men.

that pretty much sums up the starting point- if you're corrupt sinner, and know this in your heart, but want to be saved, call on Jesus. He will answer immediately, and will begin changing your life for good, according to GOD'S WORD and GOD'S PURPOSE for you.

if you are not a corrupt sinner, and never were a corrupt sinner, there's nothing can be done for you, by GOD or by anyone else.
The part in Red I really don't get at all. CC is not a terrible forum, believe me I have been on a terrible forum where even the moderators cussed at you and CC is like an oasis in the desert compared to that place.

Why would you tell people to stay away from here and if you really feel that way then Why are you still here?

Just wondering.....in my Blond wanderings....

A couple of points to ponder my friend....

1. Judas committed suicide after he had seen he betrayed innocent blood and could not be listed in the 12 that seen Jesus after the resurrection
2. The choosing of an Apostle by lot happened after chapter one in Acts when Jesus ascended....Cephas being Peter and the 12 which equals 13.....

So...seeing Judas was dead who was number 12 and 13? Just a point to ponder......Was it Matthias and Paul? Could Paul as a Pharisee seen him after his resurrection? He did by Revelation, but not until after the ascension....that we know of....

Balderdashical poppycock! Now I'll tell you how I really feel. John was seeing a vision far into the future. By what rationale was he seeing things of the kingdom of God he would not be a part of? John's excluded from partaking of events of the coming kingdom of heaven he had a vision of? That's a concept that makes no sense.
