This is true. However the truth preached is not a solo trip. It is not an individualistic imagenary "me and Jesus on the phone" thingy. We have to have the brethren agree on what sound doctrine is (Psalm 133:1, Eph.4:3, Phil.2:2) and each and everyone must submit to the ruling authorities in the church, holding fast what is taught, including the traditions (Heb.13:17, 1Peter 5:5, 2Thess.2:15). All in a certain order (1Cor.12:28).
The Lords sheep will hear His voice, in this I'm confident.

John 10:27
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

The Lord is coming, the context has to do with the proud who shall be made low, and those who humble themselves who shall be exalted. :)

Proverbs 16:19
Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.
True the day of the LORD and the proud being made low are in the same context

Jerm 17:16 As for me,I have not hastened from being a pastor to follow thee: neither have I desired the woeful day; thou knowest : that which came out of my lips was right before thee.

Amos 5:18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.

Isaiah 2:12 For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:

Isaiah 13:9-11 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine. And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

Amos 5:18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.

Isaiah 2:12 For the day of the LORD of hosts
shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:

Man I’m not sure exactly what the problem ishere, or why this is causing such a rift, but I agree with what he’s sayingabout pride from personal experience. I also see pride as one of Satan’s mostpowerful weapons to keep us from God, and to be very honest it wasn’t until Hecrushed my pride that He saved me. I honestly feel with all my heart that Icould have never been brought into truth without my pride being destroyed exactlyhow it was. I had to literally lose limb function forever, and everything Ithought made me a man to be taken before I realized I could do NOTHING on myown apart from God. I don’t think it could have ever been taught to me withoutthe horrible tragedy that opened my eyes. Again I may very well be missing whateverit is he said that set everyone off on him (or cause such heated disagreement),and don’t know the history between all members, but I agree with his OP, butcan see how some feel he was misusing a verse out of context to support hisview. I still don’t really see how that negates his main point though. I wouldbe more than happy to have it explained to me, or shown a different perspectiveor something I missed or misunderstood, but man I read it 3 or 4 times to seewhat I missed to cause the total opposition to his post instantly. I thought itwas ok and agreed with him. (not that my view means anything, just trying tounderstand what I missed if it was more than the context of that verse)

Yes. What consequences does it have in your life as for church fellowship and affiliation?
The consequences are the children of the Spirit and of the Light shall be hated by the children of the flesh and the children of darkness.

2 Corinthians 6:14
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

Why such an angry fellow? Know you not God's Word is Spirit and is Life?

John 6:63
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
So you say.

Anyone can post scriptures. The question is if you obey what is written in the Word of God concerning assembling together with brethren and submitting to the rulers of the church or are you just another lonely sailor who think you don't need any such?

I was just looking at these too wondering some things

1Cr 3:19
But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know, not the speech of them which are puffed up, but the power.

Even as it speaks of pride as a "power"

Lev 26:19 And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass:

Prov 16:5 Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD

Ezekiel 16:15 And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.

Psalm 136:8 Though the LORD be high, yet
hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.

Mat 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

The condemnation of the devil itself

1Titus 3:6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.

Prov 11:2 When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.

James 3:13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of
wisdom.

Just adding because I was looking at these very things, and looking at pride and the day of the Lord, the condemnation of the devil, the accuser of the brethren, and all the rest of it.

Let me see what I have

Submitting myself to the rulers of this world, and the rulers of the man made church? LOL I belong to the True Church, the one built without the hands of any man. My brethren are those who do the will of the Father, those who are born again of His Holy Spirit. If your here to comment on the OP that's fine, but if your also here to bring railing accusations and personal attacks like the others then you are no better than them. Have a nice day. :)

*shaking head* No accusations at all. You add the words "man made" to my former post. That's how you want to justify yourself for being a lonely sailor, thinking in your pride that you do not need to obey the Word of God as for church fellowship. Dream on in your cyberfantasy world. Your credibility is zero. Pity yourself all you like, you are not in the will of God by isolating yourself. Bye.

The waters from above are divided from the waters that are below, and it is the spirit that moves the waters, just as the wind moves the waters.

Genesis 1:7 “And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.”

The
waters from below also have a voice like a Dragon, moved by his spirit, like the rushing of many waters….

Psalm 93:4 “The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea.”
Isaiah 17:12 “Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!

Isaiah 17:13 “The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.”

The great whore sat on the
seabeast, the scarlet colored beast carried the woman, the great harlot sat on many waters….

Revelation 17:1 “And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:

Revelation 17:15 “
And he saith unto me, The
waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.”

In Luke 21:25 Jesus told us of what would occur before the heaven and the earth would be shaken, Jesus said Luke 21:25 “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;”

Jesus was not talking about a literal ocean here, but rather a sea of humanity foaming out their own shame in mocking’s, railings, and blasphemy. This same sign is also shown in
Jude 1:13Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.”

Jude describes them as those who speak
evil of things they do not understand, natural brute beasts. These were even among the early disciples being spots in their feasts of charity, those who fruit had withered, even without fruit. Jude then refers to Enoch, and the Lords coming with his saints to execute judgment upon the “ungodly” among them.

Jude describes them as ungodly
sinners with their hard speeches.They are described as murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts, mouths speaking great swelling words. Jude goes on to say in Jude 1:17-19 “But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
[SUP]18 [/SUP]How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.[SUP]19 [/SUP]These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.”

We are told in
2 Peter 3:3 “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,” And also in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.[SUP]2 [/SUP]For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,[SUP]3 [/SUP]Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,[SUP]4[/SUP]Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;[SUP]5 [/SUP]Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”

Many of these traits are also being manifest and displayed openly in those who call themselves Christians, so we know the time drawing near. This sea of
iniquity is like the RED sea of Sin, the sea of humanity which the Lord will also divide.

Job 26:12 “He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud.”
Psalm 74:13 “Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength: thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the waters.”
Psalm 136:13 “To him which divided the Red sea into parts: for his mercy endureth for ever:”

Isaiah 51:15 “But I am the Lord thy God, that divided the sea, whose waves roared: The Lord of hosts is his name.”
Jeremiah 31:35 “Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The Lord of hosts is his name:”

Isaiah 57:20 “But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.”

I'm simply astonished at the one who is posting this.

It's comparative to an African American calling another African American the N word.
