yeah, no kidding. I understand more in spanish or portuguese than I can speak. I speak english,spanish, I know ASL, and I know a few words and phrases in Portuguese.

and

when I hear German, my brain translates it to English first, then to Norwegian !

Sounds complicated, Astrid. I usually think in English, but when I"m with my spanish speaking side of the family, I think in spanish from time to time. Wierd, huh?

No, not at all. I also completely think in english when speakin and writing it. (My mother language is Dutch)

Oh cool! I think it's amazing how the brain works like that. How i has the ability to change the language you think in. Isn't God wonderful to make brains that can do that?

yeah... and complicated too!

you use different main areas in your brain for seeing, hearing, processing, feelng etc, but if you loose a ability, other neurons will sometimes take over those functions.... it's sooooo cool
