Is it wrong to just completely go off on someone? Because if not I am about to.
"Go off on someone"? Yeah, it's a foul thing to vent one's spleen on someone. It shows more strength of character to refrain.

In getting back to the thread topic....WWAD? What would Andrew do? LOL!

It's good to see you back Elizabeth. Haven't seen you on here in quite some time.
Hey! Thanks! Good to see you too. I had some free time. Thought I would pop in for a while. Trying to behave, but it is just so hard. So so hard.

Not a fan of Womack. So I probably should refrain from saying what I think he would do. :)

Yeah, you started it here, today---getting all personal and insulting. I suggested that outside of knowing what one is talking about one might just be a twit. I didn't call anyone a twit, directly, and that was quite a little while ago, and you are still hanging on that? No...there is another reason why you are acting the way you do and I think it is the pack mentality here. If the clique wasn't an influence, we'd have far more camaraderie.

Self-righteousness travels in packs, sometimes. It ain't purty.
OK Nancy

Here are some quotes of how you speak to people:

And you want kudos for joining the mealy mouthed self-indulgent critics?

The reason there are many people against him is because he speaks the unvarnished truth--something you and many others around this site seem to be allergic to!
Try doing the intelligent thing if you can. Watch him for one week and then come and discuss it. Until you actually know what you're talking about, you come off as a twit, and with no credibility.
posted to crossnote...

I doubt you do that, with the nonsense you spout about people who actually know the word and teach its truths.

It's really not ok to talk to people like that whether or not you agree. You became personal with insults very quickly in this thread and I posted to you, also early on, that you should not be responding like that to people.

You cannot hide how you respond with anger and insults...it's all over the forums...not just this thread and then you deny it and say its everyone else

I think you should know how you address others and try to correct that attitude

It wasn't nice of me to say I would not let you in my home, but a member of my family goes about correcting everyone and believes God speaks to them and they create destruction and seem to believe they are above it all. As I have seen this type of behavior at work and how it hurts everyone including the person doing it, I tend to come on strong when I see it because it has no place in a Christian's life and is destructive to all

You don't have to accept anything I say and you can say its all me and I insulted you...and I know I have become quite rigid towards you as basically defend your position by telling others they don't know as much as you and should respect your spiritual gift of discernement

Can't you see you have alienated many people here?

I am truly sorry for that as we really do share things but I do not share your way of twisting words and thinking it is ok to just give everyone a slap as you pass through

We all make excuses for our behavior, but sometimes, someone tries to tell us what we need to hear and right now, I believe I am that person for you

Again, you don't have to accept it. There is no pack mentality here. Right now and right here, it is just me talking to you

I am sorry if I hurt you...I was getting angry at your responses and I kicked back.

At any rate, I think it best I don't respond again unless you want talk in a manner that is acceptable to us both

Thanks

That's funny! I thought this thread was about hating Andrew Wommack! Now you've added another! I guess there's no stopping once you're on a roll, eh?

Alienation is an all-around thing here, ember. There is a clique here that roves through the forums, mocking and abusing and then loudly advertizing that they are ignoring various people, and repping each other. It's so...high school. You are in with them, ember.

If you were pristine in your motive, you would have gone to a PM, so of course I highly question your motive here. You are not taking any higher ground, my dear.

PM's work better. Not this public disgrace.

OK...well, all I could do was try

A pm would hardly do when the dischord is public in my opinion?

That's ok...I believe I did what I need to do

Hugs all around and I do care about you Nancy

I pray God blesses you and encourages you and now this is really the last from me to you unless something changes

Not this public disgrace.
Nancy...I see no disgrace here...you have honest words from my heart and now what you do with them is up to you.

These forums do become of a pack mentality (of this there is no doubt). Those who disagree with the 'pack of usual's' here are at first dismissed as lacking in any discernment of spiritual awareness or understanding of the Bible.

Then as the person gives or shows the reasons they disagree with the majority, it is then the pack descends on that individual with verse after verse of apposing 'opinion' about interpretation and meaning. And along with the verses of the Bible in quotes, come the personal name calling and character assassinations.

I have chosen not to engage with people here who have called me a heretic for believing in healing in the atonement the way Andrew Wommack does. Unfortunatly for FancyNancy she kept arguing with you guys. She also tried to make light of your accusations towards her by using the same kind of sarcasm you all have used.

Needless to say it did not go well for her. I respect Nancy very much and agree with her interpretation and acceptance of what Andrew Wommack preaches. She and I are on the same page and I would feel honored to have her in my home any day of the week.

But I would not handle you folks the same way she has tried to. No way. I think what happens is we end up defending ourselves as Christians who have a right to an opinion just like the "pack" here. But in reality we do not have to prove this, it is already true. Just because the pack doesn't agree with my theology does not make it any less credible.

FancyNancy., I think you got sucked into the trap many do when trying to reason with a pack mentality of folks. They are not interested in discussing but are clearly interested in keeping their pack clear of any who do not agree with them here on these forums. So I'd just like to extend you my hand of Christian friendship and for us to learn together how best to share the Gospel on these forums without trying to reason with the pack mentality. Just because people are Christians it does not always mean they will be perfect or kind and allow you to be different in your theology. See you on the forums FancyNancy and I'll be "liking you" with much encouragement sister!!!

I really like this from the morning devotional "Destined to Reign" Jesus is our Shepherd,He is our provision, healer, counselor, wisdom, righteousness, sanctification...He is everything we need Him to be.

Have you ever seen a farmer trying to drive a bunch of geese from one location to another? He goes behind the geese, doesn’t he? Compare this to a shepherd who leads his sheep. He goes before them and the sheep simply follow him.

Jesus is our shepherd and we are His sheep. He does not drive us, but He leads us. Legalistic people drive others. Jesus leads. He goes in front of us. He is not like the sergeant who says, “Men, cross this river. I’ll cover you from behind,” because he suspects that the river is infested with crocodiles. Jesus is not that kind of leader. He goes in front of us.

In the Old Testament, Jesus led the children of Israel out of bondage in Egypt. Do you know how Jesus appeared back then? He appeared in a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. Where was that pillar? It was in front of them. In fact, the pillar of cloud shaded them from the hot desert sun so that they were kept cool during the day. At night, when the desert got very cold, Jesus, the pillar of fire, gave them light as well as warmth. Whether He was the pillar of cloud or fire, He went in front of them.
As long as they followed Him, the Israelites did not have to worry about anything. Jesus took care of all their needs. He gave them water when they were thirsty, and bread and meat when they were hungry. Their clothes did not wear out and their feet did not swell. They were kept in good health throughout the 40 years of their wandering in the wilderness.
My friend, Jesus your shepherd wants you to just follow Him. As long as you allow Him to lead you, all your needs will be taken care of. He is your provision, healer, counselor, wisdom, righteousness, sanctification...He is everything you need Him to be!

I listened to him once or twice. I remember he was way off on some of his theology. I choose to stop listening. I just don't care to hear false theology. I don't even remember what he said. I do remember it was false.

Absolutely right Moladhdia,

It is important that we discern between the true and the false, as it says let every word be confirmed by two or three witnesses and also 'the spiritual man judges or discerns all things, but we can have all knowledge and understand all mysteries but if we haven't got love for or brother or sister we are wasting our time arguing because we are already wrong and already profiting nothing from our efforts on top of the fact that we have pride and God promises we will know His resistance against us rather than His exaltation. Now these three remain, faith, hope and love but the greatest of these is love.
By the way, I used to be very dogmatic about what I thought I knew but then after God began to humble me, as He always will I learnt the truth that knowledge puffs up but wisdom (working out what you know in practice) keeps you humble because you very quickly learn you can do nothing apart from Him!

I'm not standing up for Andrew Wommack particularly or TV preachers because I know there is a lot of false stuff out there but regarding the use of TV, didn't Paul say that he would 'by whatever means reach some'. Wouldn't that include TV?

Of course we should be using internet and radio and tv to get the Gospel out there to the people. It's wonderful to see how Christian's are out there spreading the Word of Jesus Christ and the forgiveness of sins all over the world, even to countries that Christians are not allowed into, the tv and radio can get there. Not only into the country but also into the homes of the people who otherwise would never have even heard of Jesus name.
The living room of someone's house is a most personal place. The tv is usually on and thanks to pioneering Christians who saw the vision, God's Word is being broadcast day and night.

Takes on even more meaning when you read what Jesus said about taking the gospel to all the earth!! It is now going to all the earth not only because of missionary bodies going out but also because of tv , internet and radio.

I have been listening to Andrew Wommack for few weeks now, I love his sermons, more preachers need to preach on grace. The only thing I don't agree with is the praying in tongues.

Why do you disagree with the speaking in tongues.I hope it's not from a man made tradition.
