And I didn't get that either. Do you mean Marc would get what you meant because a conversation the two of you have on another thread, or do you want me to start another thread just to ask you this? Or, is often the case, was there a third choice I haven't conceived of? lol
It was a statement about a certain denomination not being Christian

You know "truth" but you keep it to yourself? How is that in the spirit of making disciples, professing Christ etc etc?

All I asked is who the majority is and who the minority is. Why be evasive if you stand in the light?
Well, let's see..... YOU IGNORED ALL THE SCRIPTURES. Instead, you want to know what I think, as if to separate my thoughts from the scriptures, which were the most important writing of my post. Yet you clearly ignored them, & came after me with questions. Do you want to follow me or the Word of God?

Now WHY I wonder would you do such a thing? Me or my thoughts are not important as those scriptures & what many refuse to believe about them.

What these verses say & what I believe are the same..... so study the scriptures like the Bible says, & quit seeking men for answers.

I'm confused.

This is what I'm kind of seeing here.

"The sun is the center of our solar system. Earth is the third planet from the sun. The moon orbits earth."

"You have a right to your opinion."

What does "you have a right to your opinion" mean in this context?
Dear confused,

The context is a definition of a Christian, which you liked, earlier on this thread.

Lynn again?

So, I'm wondering, if God created both man and woman...........and God considers it a sin for woman to cut her hair, why is it that some women suffer from "balding/loss of hair' just like some men?

Oh, wait, I know......it was PREDESTINED from the beginning they would suffer such, because they were not included in the group who were predestined to eternal salvation.

Either that, or they/their fathers or mothers must have committed some horrible sin, and they are being punished for it.

Um, hmm, wait, maybe I shouldn't fuss about all of this. I'm thinking there is a lucrative business opportunity here. I could produce and sell WIGS of LONG HAIR to women for when they enter the Sanctuary!

I could call it: HOLY HAIR!

And, just to be sure to maximize profits, I could sell SHORT HAIR WIGS to men who look like rejects from the 1960's.

Hmm............may have to ponder this a wee bit
Stop and listen to yourself speak for a moment. If someone did not know you were a Christian and they heard you talk like this, do you think they would get the impression that you were mocking the faith? I say this not to be cruel but in honesty with love.

Honestly...you do a pretty good job of making a mockery of it all by yourself.

I vowed to him that hes getting Acts 16:31 from me from now on.......but sometimes I want to break that vow.

Would I go the the recesses of the pit if I broke my vow?

Wow! Ya know something? All this time I thought you were dialoging with people, even if you disagreed. That's what I liked about you. But either I was wrong or you did a real aphasia thing right here. No, Sirk didn't mean Dr. Erwin. Sirk doesn't have aphasia. (I know. I do.) If he wanted you to listen to the video of Dr. Erwin, he would have said that. He didn't. He said,

So either you might have aphasia or you completely changed what Sirk said for your own purposes.

If you are so sure of what you believe than why won't you listen to the video?
I have no idea what video he speaks of. I did not see it on the first page of this thread. If it was there, I did not see it. Besides, even if I did see it, do you honestly think that would change my mind if I watched it? There are hundreds of verses that refute OSAS. Hundreds. All verses that OSAS proponents use ignore the context big time. I have debated this topic for almost 5 years now. I know all the verses OSAS proponents like to use. But I do not see how you can read your Bible and ignore all the warnings in it. It's as clear as day (Well, for those who want to see it).

You should watch it. What have you to fear? There seems to be a bogeyman in your closet.

I will stick with my vow. I do not want to be with you listening to the devil play his guitar out of tune forever.

I just made dessert. It has a little whole wheat flour, a little more Splenda, a couple of eggs, a half cup of powdered chocolate, walnuts, cherries, blueberries and apple sauce. I need a name for it. Can you give me a name for it?

I'm figuring if you're just whipping out questions totally unrelated to what I ASKED as if I told you something instead of ASKED questions, why can't I do the same thing to you? (That, and I would like a name for this dessert. lol)

It's really a bad sign that you read anything I asked if the only thing you got out of that was "She's the woman who can translate a couple of verses for me."

But I did get something out of what you wrote. I got "This person thinks whatever he's thinking at this very moment is much more important than hearing anyone else." In which case, there is no dialog. There are people talking, and then there is you -- a wall.
I'm very sorry you feel that way. My comments were for another poster. Not sure what your recipe is, i don't cook

Nothing to fear. I have discussed the topic of OSAS for almost 5 years. I would just end up refuting the verses he used. Do you want me to do that? Give me the link to the video and I will try and take notes on the Scriptures he uses and see if they are any different than the ones OSAS proponents have used over the years with me before. My guess is that there is nothing new I have not heard before.

Your blindness in this matter Jason, is your no fear of the Lord, to not be able to credit to Him the ability to bring all His predestinated ones to maturity. Phil 1:6. All the many warnings to saints are concerning judgment, and consequent reward.........or temporary punishment. Yes severe. It is clear as day. He is the ultimate Father

I knew this would descend into an OSAS argument, after all the writer of the article equates Eternal Security with OSAS. Why are people surprised the debate went this way?
