Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, jeremiah 1:5

That's all I need to know.

Can people please stop quoting that awful photo? I understand the reality of abortion and I'm against it, but I don't need the image seared into my brain right before I go to sleep. I was going to have an early-ish night, but I think I'll stay up a bit longer.

So I'm gonna go on a lil rant here. Why do Christians feel it's okay to poke fun at others and laugh at them? I ask because I was at a singles event last night. The speaker for a while talked about how Walmart is offering people to meet each other for dates in 91 different countries. All you gotta do is have a red now on your cart to show people you're looking for a date. The speaker then started to make fun of the people that are doing this, and was even doing some type of improv acting like she would be one of these people. Everyone in the room felt it was hilarious. I didn't. Jesus wouldn't poke fun at people. We're all brothers and sisters under Him. So why should we poke fun at these people? I spent the whole night wondering if the people in the room even consider "outsiders" brothers and sisters in Christ.

what was Adam before the Almighty breathed life into him and made him a living soul?

im not for abortion but if i was teaching the bible i would never lie to someone saying the bible says something that was not clearly stated.
Gods breath is different than the oxygen we breathe. At conception ..movement begins...life begins.

This has absolutely nothing to do with abortion. I don't know the answer, but I think Christian stand-up comedians can exist. And that they can be a little cheeky without being disrespectful.

I just realized this was the wrong thread. Meant to be posted in Speak your Mind. How can I move this?

Yeah, I know. I thought this was the Speak your Mind thread as I was posting. My mind was elsewhere. Sorry for that.

No worries, brother. No need to apologise. I was just rather confused. Have a blessed day. :)

My mother would have aborted me in 1948, problem was abortions were nearly impossible for a woman freshly off the boat from Belgium back then, who had gotten deceived and seduced by an American soldier, whom she found out too late he was already married.
Anyways Providence would have it that that little baby whom she spared would later (after giving her much more heartache )be instrumental in leading her to the Lord at age 52.

What a sweet testimony. I was born in 73, 8 months after roe vs wade. My mother had every opportunity to choose abortion. She chose adoption. Im thankful for my life as I know you are for yours. There is a plan for each life created even we cant see through the clouds.

Ouch.

(needed more words)
Hey Tin, you know im being as gentle as i can be, but i want to use just what you posted about the picture being horrifying as an example.....people need to be aware and get angry over this very sin. Passiveness toward abortion has made this country where it is today. Yes its graphic, but so very relivant. As is the crucifixion

I am also angry. I've never seen abortion as right. I'm with you there.

So what do you think about advice from the World Health Organisation where abortion is an option to prevent maternal death. Is the mother doomed for saving her own life.
