In order to be saved? Well that's another topic for the BDF

Actually what I said does apply because the bible shows in the end times apostate Christianity will grow and true Christianity will start to go away. Stated as the falling away that is to come first, and allowing gay marriage and some churches marrying these people are a start to this apostate falling away.

We have to endure these things and keep the faith no matter what we are threatened with by other men or women !!!

All very true, except the comment is more appropriate to the "I am sick right now" thread. They're discussing the spiritual aspects of the decision under that heading on BDF.

Absolutely right. Anyone who thinks that isn't going to be possible doesn't realize how militantly and aggressively the LGBT movement, as well as the vast majority of media that support them, will use this decision to force acceptance without criticism of their lifestyle.

They won't go to the pastors whom they know will perform the ceremony. They will go to the ones they know will not, and the "witch hunt" will be underway.

You nailed it. They are incredibly aggressive when it comes to bullying people into accepting their lifestyle. "Witch hunt" is a term that perfectly describes their agenda.

No need to get in an uproar on this. It was God who said in the KJV Revelation 22:11 " He that is unjust, let him be unjust still; and he that is filthy, let him be filthy still; and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still; and he that is holy, let him be holy still.” We are under no obligation to stop these people and what God wants to happen, happens.

My apologies to all on the last post. It was an angel, showing Paul these things, that said that to him not God directly.

Respectfully, I disagree. The verse must be read in context, particularly with v. 10, which commands John not to "seal up the words of the prophecy of this book," meaning the Revelation John had just been given. If the book remains open, it has its effect on all men, believing or unbelieving, calling them to account and demanding they choose life or death. And we have the key role in making certain they are able to see Christ lived out in front of them, and that they hear the truth regarding sin, judgment, grace, and mercy.

Actually the best polling (done by Gallup) shows that the LGBT community is 3.5% of the U.S. population. This includes those who engage in bisexuality; however. Those who identified as purely homosexual were about 1.5%.

But even 3.5% of the population is ridiculously low for the U.S. justice system to be threatening Christian churches and clergy with government legal action for refusing to participate in the abomination and sacrilege of homosexual "marriage." In fact, 100% would be too low for of a percentage for Holy God because His eternal normative morality is objective and unchanging.

Which is an arrogant, audacious stance for such a very, very small majority to take. I know polls show this is what the American people want, but the reality is, the LGBT community represents less than one percent of the U.S. population. Perhaps another two to three percent would militantly support their efforts to force acceptance, but I don't think the other 50 percent or so of their supporters would go that far.

The thing is though is I wonder how high that number will actually go up now that same sex marriage has been approved.
The reason I say this is because some are still afraid to come out and admit they are gay in some areas and circumstances.

Does anyone have a link to the actual SCOTUS ruling or an in-depth look at it by a qualified analyst? All I can find is a few poorly written news articles on it.

Gallup used a methodology to mitigate that problem in their polling. The percentages of these polls range from about 3.4% to 3.8% for the entire LGBT demographic (including bisexuals married and unmarried): Special Report: 3.4% of U.S. Adults Identify as LGBT

The problem though still relies on the fact that it is only a guess still and not a true accurate number.
Nobody can come up with a true number in a poll when some people who have not come forward to admit their stance. All that can be done is estimated guess !!!

You're doing a lot of speculating KennethC. The percentages will not increase because you can imagine they may based on an unqualified thought you have that those polled are being deliberately dishonest even though they're polled anonymously over the phone by people trained to mitigate that concern.

I'm going to suggest that you accept the polling results at this time until you have an actual empirically supported reason not to rather than filling up post after post with this unfounded speculation you hold.

I just skimmed it and, oh boy, this doesn't look good. Now the left will use this ruling to file many many more lawsuits attempting to force religious organizations to facilitate and support homosexuality using the U.S. justice system. Ugh. What a mess.

You are right of course, but it's not the Left I fear. I cannot see God appologizing to Sodom and Gomorrah.

I will not accept any polling results that are based on estimated guesses.

It is not about people being dishonest in giving their polling numbers, just that it is based on educated guesses.
We should not be taking educated guesses and making them out to be facts, as scientists do with their theories trying to make a theory be a fact. I never said they are being deliberately dishonest, those are your words I never said.

When the laws change to make s.s.m. and gay relations more and more acceptable in society then you will see more and more people come out and admit they are gay. I have grown up with a few and still to this day know of some who say they are gay but are afraid to come out and admit it.

I don't defend this lifestyle as I know by God it is wrong, yet when the laws continue to make things against God's way acceptable you will be seeing more and more people coming out of the wood work siding with those things.

Just like I continue to see Republicans try and say all liberals or Democrats think and believe the same way, and vise versa of some Democrats saying that about the conservatives and Republicans. Both of which is false way of thinking by our news sources and government keep people thinking falsely this way.

For I know a lot of Republicans who agree with s.s.m. also, and I live in a state that has some of the lease restrictive gun laws then other states thanks to the Democrats that live here.

While I'm not completely confident of the previously mentioned 3.5% figure -- I've seen much smaller numbers -- I do have to address this statement.

I don't understand this post, Ken. How can actual answers from actual people be "estimated guesses"? If you're saying the sampling isn't of the entire population as a whole, that would also be incorrect. The numbers come from the Census Bureau, which polls personal information from one-fifth of the households in the U.S. every ten years.

That represents a huge sampling, being over 60 million people.

Because what they do to get their numbers is go and ask people, and their numbers come from only those who answer the polling question. If you have a ton of people who either do not give their opinion/answer or just don't come out and say they are one way or the other. Then their numbers only are based on those who came forward and answered the poll, making it an estimated guess as there can be well more out there that never answered the poll.

So you see it is still only estimated guesses because it is only based on people who answered the poll, and does not truly represent all other people who never answered it.

Let's look at the one bright side of this; we are much closer to the return of our Lord.
