I'm sure there are some of those men here. In fact, I've talked to a few of them, and they are kind and interesting too!

There are. We just have to wait and pray for them. Don't rush. Be patient. In God's perfect time, He'll come to you. :) and you'll be surprise. :)

Oh we exist...

But if the first thing you ask is whether or not we're a real man... well that's not going to end too well :)

Yes we're out here.

But how can we compete with so many modern churches and "Churchianity" that tells women that they're "daughters of the King", "queens" and "princesses", while at the same time telling us men that we're, well, abject failures?

Yes, I believe that women are very much valued by God; it's the way He designed things. But what I cannot deal with is the dichotomy that I mentioned above.

Most men, even Christian men, don't want to enter serious relationships and then into marriages with that complex on their heads.

Just my $0.02.

*Lynx sniffs at the OP...

Hmm... three possibilities here.

1. This is a complaint from someone who is single and frustrated.

2. This is an observation about the general lack of men who are honorable.

3. This is bait for a trap to find a good man on the forum.

*Lynx takes no chances and makes a wide path around the bait on the way back to his perch.

perhaps you're only lacking a sense of adventure??? just kidding. threads like this... *bites tongue*

honestly, if you keep your eyes open, there are even some immature, goofy, highly imperfect chicks who aren't too shabby at the love thing who are more than willing to accept a man who isn't perfect. but here's the rub: some of us women aren't perfect either.

so, we go about, accepting one another in our shortcomings, growing together, trusting that God uses things as dangerous and faulty as relationships to help us grow further in Christ. sort of like the iron sharpening iron thing, and hoping that no one catches on fire.

it's not as ideal as it sounds. but it works about half of the time. maybe more than half of the time for those who try extra hard.

how does one go about finding these men? we start without creating threads that sound suspiciously like an invitation for a surgical procedure at a veterinarian's office for house pets.

We can compete by being better than the next guy.

Statistically there is a 60/40 female to male ratio in the average church - or so they say. I need to verify this.

Either way, with less of us than there are of them, we get an automatic boost. Plus you can always react by being better than anyone's expectations. You don't have to be perfect, just better.
