In our time now, there is a false prophets like David Pawson and other like he, who like dresses them self in expensive, and very fine way, and make the shows where everyone can see that it has cost a lot of money.

This kind of man's are not real prophet's but they are just some kind of Bible investigator, more that real servant's of God.

Do not follow them expensive, earthly way, because true servant of God should serve God in modest way in material, like our dear brother apostles serve, by example of our Lord Yeshua.

The expensive way, is a way of the world, and love for this world, and mammon.

Do not deceive your selves.

1In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. 3The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. 4So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.

What many fail to see is that God chooses the lowly and humble to preach his words, His witnesses come wearing sackcloth.

Luke 7:25-26 "But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts.[SUP]26 [/SUP]But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet."

1 Corinthians 1:19-28 "For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
[SUP]21 [/SUP]For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
[SUP]22 [/SUP]For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
[SUP]23 [/SUP]But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
[SUP]24 [/SUP]But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
[SUP]25 [/SUP]Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
[SUP]26 [/SUP]For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
[SUP]27 [/SUP]But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
[SUP]28 [/SUP]And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

and Paul? made the biggest impact in the known world?

he was the exact opposite of lowly and humble and he did not wear sackcloth

generalizations do not work because God chooses and He will chose whom He will

That is part of what makes Him God! :eek:

Before Paul's conversion he may have been the opposite, but you can be sure Paul was truly humbled after receiving the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit has that effect on a mans heart. :)

Paul's words...

1 Corinthians 4:9-14 "For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.[SUP]10 [/SUP]We are fools for Christ's sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace;
[SUP]12 [/SUP]And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you."

Yes because Paul is speaking on the trials and persecutions we will face from the world for standing up for God's word, and not defiling the faith by giving into mans laws that are against God and not making the gospel a license for lewdness.

To many now days are confirming His ways to the world, instead of confirming their ways to Him...........

Even the Lord warned on these things in Matthew 10, and said that we are not greater than Him, so since the world persecuted Him they will also persecute us !!!

I think people put to much importance on physical appearances. Some might wear such flashy clothes as to look good making it about them not God yet at the same time that doesn't mean we should have to be in rags. Honestly clothes don't make the believer God looks to the heart

There is a man who comes to our church a couple times a year. He refers to himself as a prophet but I think he is all smoke and mirrors. A lot of people in my church think he is the best thing since sliced bread but I just don't see it.

Yes there will be false instructors and prophets all around, but we can not take away from the word of God that true instructors and prophets will still exist to and will continue even into the end days.

I think that the sackcloth should come out in our words today, when we preach word, in a time like this.

And as a servants of God, we do should wear some proper clothing, but it not should be too fine and expensive, but more like something modesty and proper, because we do serve God, and God is holy, and we should also be holy, so example all kind of baseball shirts and clothing like that, do not represent the holiness of God, even though they may be as a modest clothing.

Holiness we must remember if we wish to serve God, and the Lord Yeshua.

Joel 2:13
And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil. :)

Anyone who honestly reads 1 Timothy chapter 6 knows you cannot be rich and also serve God. It just doesn't work like that.

there is no verse in scripture that states you cannot be rich and serve God...that's baloney

you need to be a good steward of what God gives to you

how about the kings of Israel? God literally dumped wealth on them

I am not saying work to get wealth...but is being on welfare honouring to God? What kind of testimony is that?

Nothing against being on welfare if you have come by hard times, but this you have to be poor line is not true

Not going to argue it with anyone, so when I don't answer you, that would be why

If God for whatever reason blessed me with riches on this earth beyond belief making me have so much and be so rich that I could never spend even half of it in my lifetime then I would be giving it away. I am the kind of person who gives and gives generously even if it ends up hurting me money wise I simply cannot help it if there is someone in need I will give, so if I was rich like this then I would be giving and giving vastly. I could be rich here on earth and serve God but the only richness I seek is all that is in his heart.

Money is not the root of all evil it's what you choose to do with it that matters it's the heart of the person with the money that decides if you can serve God while being rich.
