What I have said on other post is irrelevant to this conversation. I am from Tennessee and I detest the rebel flag and everything is stands for. If people want to have this flag then that is their prerogative because that is our constitutional right. I do feel like it makes them look light backwoods simpletons. I don't want to take anyone's right away to own this flag. I only want it removed from government buildings because it serves no purpose there. Why should African have to go to a government building that their tax dollars are paying for and have to look at a flag that represents their oppression

Not really. In fact, it's the same thing, having our faces rubbed in the victory of the militant minority. There is no mistaking what the rainbow means, but there is a great deal of confusion and misinformation about the Confederate battle flag.
What freedom? Is it freedom to make oneself corrupt by flying the flag of a treacherous regime long since destroyed which betrayed our ancestors for the sake of a brutal and unjust form of slavery?
Praise the Lord, he hath brought down the flag of slavery and rebellious treachery. Therefore rejoice, for the Lord hath wrought great victory in America this day. Yea hear you now oh America. The terrorist lifted up the flag of the traitors with his gun, but the Lord brought down the flag of the traitors without a shot fired. Praise the Lord, his hand is mighty.
I'm all for freedom and rights but what the flag stands for is just down right wrong, end of story. Unfortunately there is still racists at my school, they all have confederate flags mostly flying from their trucks. A family member of mine is half African American and he is the sweetest baby in the world. A group at school will say all types of nasty things against blacks. Knowing there's still people out there who despise a race disgusts me. If the flag wasn't associated with that I wouldn't have a problem.
I agree wholeheartedly. I don't want to hear any of this hogwash about heritage. This flag means white supremacy. I've been seeing them all over my city. And I'm just thinking thanks for making Southerners look like ignorant buffoons
Flying a flag doesn't make one corrupt, but stripping a State the freedom to fly a flag is the sign of a corrupting nation...a sign of disintegrating freedom. Would you agree in tearing down the rainbow flag for the immorality it represents?
Flying a flag of a regime which betrayed and attacked your nation is corruption, even bordering on sedition. For what heritage does it represent? A heritage of treachery, rebellion, racism, and ultimately defeat. Though that is what it meant in times past. Nevertheless even in this time it is a symbol of rebellion and racism still, specifically the one in South Carolina recently taken down which was put up for to rebel against the will of God and the law of the land for the sake of segregation, which is racism.
As for the so-called rainbow flag, though that be not the topic at hand, I would indeed agree that it should be torn down as well. For it represents both sexual abuse, lovelessness, and ultimately lawlessness. By flying such a flag and the government trying to make sexual abuse legitimate it in fact testifies that the government is close to making itself in totality illegitimate by reason that it shows it hath no law.
Actually it is on topic, the common denominator between the Dixie flag and the rainbow flag is freedom as layed out in the 1st Amendment. You may like living under totalitarianism and a high degree of restrictions, but when it comes to waving flags that comes under freedom of speech.
While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption.

C'mon, both verses (yours and mine) were taken out of context and I took neither serious.
What is serious though is your totalitarian attitude that doesn't blink at restricting the free expression of an individual such as flag waving.
Let me remind you, the same gov't that can restrict what flag you wave can also end up restricting your freedom of worship and to carry a bible.
Nay for that which I posted is not out of context, though it is not my verse for it be Peter's. Nevertheless Peter is correct and both the situation with the traitor flag and the flag of sexual abuse are good examples and testimonies against the corruption of those promising freedom, which is not even trully freedom.
As for my belief in God; being that the government cannot gurantee me that right, nor can they grant that right, therefore they cannot take that right away, not even were they to put me to death. In fact since God is the foundation of both law and government, to do such a thing would make America in totality illegitimate and it would cease to exist.
Then why in the world are you so eager to see the rights of others taken away?
