Let me ask you this: If we take down all the symbols, rename all the parks, and remove all the statues reminding people of the historic South, have we alleviated the poverty rate anywhere? Have we improved the economy? Have we resolved immigration, race relations, or even assuaged a single hurt feeling?
No. It's nothing more than fluff and puff politically correct b/s.

I am from the south and think our culture is the greatest in the world and our people are very special black and white (for the most part) I have never owned or even held a confederate flag... I don't want to offend blacks for the sake of offense...but its just a flag and it means different things to different people...Its an expression of rebellion against the establishment and against liberalism in general to many...Its a symbol of history to some. To those liberals who cry about freedom and equality and free speech and expression to try to outlaw this flag proves they don't believe anything they are trying to claim they believe in.
Again. No one's rights have been taken away. I've been seeing these flags all over my town. It has simply been removed from government buildings. Everyone is talking about liberals here. I am about as far from liberal as you can get but I still I am offended by the Confederate flag. If you want to wave your flag then wave your flag until Doomsday if thats what makes you happy. However I have the freedom to tell you you are being ridiculous by doing so.

check this out. My fiance was at Dollar General in South Fulton and these to dude in a big truck pulled up with an American flag on one side and a confederate flag on the other. They had been overheard calling people the N word . the manager of the store came out there and told him to leave because he did not want that flag on their property and they continued to act belligerent The police arrived on the scene and told themto go back to Obion County where they came from and if he caught them back in South Fulton he would take them to jail.
They said they were going to go get there " people".,The officer said " go get them, they can go to jail too"
