I used to have the most beautiful shade of brown, with red highlights. When I started to gray, my hair really looked lack luster. So I started dying it myself, but the shade was never as pretty as my natural hair colour.

Then I got RA, and at several points, I could not lift my hands above my shoulders to dye it. So my daugher started doing it for me. She got really fed up, and by that point, after about 10 years, the gray was becoming more than the brown.

So I grew it out, which was a long and ugly process. There was a brown line, with gray above, and brown below. When it finally got to the point where I could cut it, I decided I really liked the gray. I have very fair skin and blue eyes, and the gray seems to be much more suited to my colours.

In fact, if I look at a picture of me when I was younger, it looks very strange seeing such dark hair with such a fair complexion. So I am quite happy to be gray, with a little bit of brown. I suppose when I lose all the brown, I will have white hair like my mom.

I've had purple hair, auburn hair, pink hair and my natural color is blonde, now with highlights (that's what I call the grey)

Do I dye my hair? :O

It happened many times when I was younger,
but now I just accept the way and the color that my hair is...
That's it, that's all ;)

i have had people try to convince me to dye my hair white or gray....i never did, dressing up as Santa just isnt my thing. Apparently gray hair at a young age is cool now?
Young trendsetters streak their hair with gray.

Lol...when my daughter was younger...her friend at a slumber party suggested I put pink in my hair.

Im sorry but....I'd felt like a 6 ft stick of cotton candy lol.

I have kept my hair blonde since a child.
If I wasnt blonde I wouldnt feel like me. But theres nothing wrong with experimenting with color.
I may someday who knows lol

Just not pastel lol
Im 42 and I dont want my head to look like an Easter cupcake lol

I remember a band in the 80's called "Missing Persons" and the singer would dye her hair multiple colors. In the song "Words" she even says, "I think I'll dye my hair blue."

I guess it's all about hair these days.

Guys, if you have any hair do you dye?
Girls, come clean, we won't tell...

Dying = lying, and lying is unchristianlike

I dyed my hair when i was about 14 so my mom could "test" a color on me... and then i stopped dying it for a few years... started doing the blond streaks.... or highlights... with my natural brown hair... that made me look YOUNGER than my age... and I just started to dye my hair a few years ago every 2-3 months a reddish auburn color. I look better with reddish hair than I do my natural color... Guess thats the Irish in me that sticks out like a... red-headed step child.
