Mercy, that is a huge investment not to service. We just bought a new one
last year, it came with 4 different heads. We service our twice a year, it's
greased daily when in use. We have one that is 30 years old, the other one
is 8 years old. You take care of your equiment, it will take care of you.
I agree and my dad grew up farming and he is always on them about taking care of it. They have two 8820s they use and they also have two 7700s. See this is what gets me, they go buy a perfectly good combine and take it apart to fix the old one. My brother in law is 37 years old I would think he would know better than that. Also my sisters pickup was overheating yesterday and my dad popped the hood and there was absolutely no antifreeze or water and because of that the water pump went out and so my dad spent all of yesterday putting a new one in.

C'mon it was kinda funny, but extremely cheesy, I know

I see what you did there. :p I don't know why but it reminded me of a skit that poked fun of dating websites. I think they called it NeedEHarmony (as in being needy for a husband or wife). Point was too many people were trying too hard to find a mate, and there was always at least one person that wasn't happy. I suppose going off and eloping isn't the worst of things?

I used to be John Deere. I whiched to Massey Fergerson about 32 years
ago. My first combine was a harvester, can't recall the first part of the name.
As far as taking a good one to fix a bad one, they really like the bad one.

You had talked about having chickens, then a combine, I assumed that you
were into farming.

I just love chickens and we do have about an acre in the country. My dad would have loved to farm, but it didn't work out.

There's also thunder in the BDF's. :p Wow, my ignore list has grown so long with legalistic zealots, I can hardly follow conversations in the other threads. Most of them now say: This message is hidden because so-and-so is on your ignore list.

Sometimes I'm like, "why did I ignore them again?" So then I read what they wrote anyway. And then I'm like, "that's why."

Ooooo, pupusas are good. I used to go to this restaurant by my school called "Pupusería La Familiar". They were great and affordable. Yum!
