Was it the heritic Origen who started the Roman Catholic Church? Or, Was it Contantine? We know the Catholic answer and I don't welcome that view here in this thread.

I think the heresy started soon after Paul departed..just as he said it would..and it kind of morphed into an elite religious class based on worldly carnal power instead of Spiritual power.. The organized take over of the faith happened when the devil understood the more Christians he killed the more the true faith grew he could not overcome the faith by brute force..so he decided to use his stealth and take it over from the inside.

Right, it happened after Western Europe was evangelized.

Who brought in Substantiation, infant baptism, perverted view of Saints, and Mariology.

I think that Origen of Alexandra began it all with his damnable heresy's. The Constantine modified it wit paganism.

I agree Origen was a wolf and Constantine was just looking for more power...

Different schools of theology arose very early in the church, but it remained essentially united for a thousand years despite schisms, heresies and bitter controversies. During this period the prominence of the see of Rome steadily increased. Its authoritarian claims were well advanced by the 11th century and certain doctrinal emphases became increasingly clear.

It is only with the division between the Eastern and Western churches formalized in 1054 (the ‘Great Schism’) that we can speak precisely of a Roman Catholic theology.

Presently, Roman Catholic theology is comprehensive and is distinguished between the monolithic official teaching of the church (e.g. the Magisterium) and opinions expressed by the many schools of Catholic theology.

I guess I did, but I didn't mean to put Catholic's down, for that I am sorry.

Did't Constantine's mother influence him greatly in the realm of religion.

The definitive answer is that the Roman Catholic Church (RCC) is a later semi-heretical negative deviation from the church Jesus Christ instituted.

As I stated, it is only with the division between the Eastern and Western churches formalized in 1054 (the ‘Great Schism’) that we can speak precisely of a Roman Catholic theology.

Origen and Constantine did not start the RCC, they preceded it. The simplest explanation is that the RCC is the by product of a schism that occurred in 1054 AD.

The reasons and forces behind the schism had slowly escalated for centuries and we can speak at length about that discussion which runs both wide and deep including emperors, law, and culture; Bishops, priests, and doctrines; individual Christians, non-Christians, and their religious conflicts both internal and external; etc... if you like of which many were responsible for "starting the Roman Catholic Church."

No single person started the RCC, despite their dogma that Christ did. Rather, the RCC is a semi-heretical by product of the 'Great Schism' .
