The Lord our God is building up His true spiritual Tabernacle in heavenly places, but not by the hands of any man, nor with any brick and mortar materials. The Lord our God is raising up to Himself a spiritual house made of living pillars and stones, with Jesus Christ being the foundation and head corner stone which began the construction process long ago.

But what many may not know is that Satan is also raising up himself a false tabernacle or synagogue made up of spiritually dead stones and pillars out of those who are spiritually dead in their sins. These are those who worship the image of him
in the firstborn man of sin. This old man of sin image that is worshiped by those who are of this evil world is also that same sinful image the Son of God came to destroy in us.

Jesus Christ came to destroy the first Adam image which was
corrupted when sin entered into man. Jesus Christ came to destroy the body of sin and the works of the Devil in us.

Romans 6:6 “Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.”
1 John 3:8 “He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”

And the works of the
Devil is his desire being the lusts of the eye and of the flesh, which is sin. And the wage of sin is death, as to be carnally minded is also death. And if you walk according to the flesh you shall die. If your old man of sin has truly been put to death, and you are truly dead to sin, then these works of the Devil shall not be found in you.

Galatians 5:19-21 “
Now the works of the
flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
[SUP]20 [/SUP]Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,[SUP]21 [/SUP]Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”

So whose works will you do, who is it that you will serve? And what Tabernacle are you a member of, and what building do you build upon, and whose tabernacle will you minister to? For if we draw back and build again the things which the Lord came to destroy, which things we are also told to put to
death in us, then we also shall be found to be a transgressor.

Galatians 2:17-18 “
But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found
sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.”

AMEN! Good thread to clearly show what Christ actually crucified. In this chat, I have seen some professing Christan's post, attempting to explain that something else was crucified other than our sinful flesh.
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20

The Lord put upon my heart that very verse earlier this week: "For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor." He reminded me not to be concerned with renewing my old self, or trying to make up for past mistakes, but to "give up my life" and put on Christ, to rest in Him as He renews my mind. Actually, it's a trade-off. I surrender my own understanding, and He opens my eyes to Him. :)

John 12:25
He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

Romans 12:1-2 "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

Galatians 6:14
But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

There is an "enmity" between the mind of the flesh and the mind of the Spirit. :)

Romans 8:3
For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

Speaking of 'church' buildings, that shut the body down, Jesus destroyed the 'church' building in Jerusalem by a heathen, General Titus. God couldn't get the religious crowd to tear it down so He used a pagan.
This is about to happen again.
He can't get the Christians to dismantle their edifices and basilicas, that keep the folks impotent, so He's going to use a heathen government to pull their tax evasion status and shut down the brick and mortar temples of opulence and arrogance.

Take all the toys and comfort away and believers may just have to get serious. The watchmen on the wall are blasting their horns. May the dead dry bones come to life! Eye salve would be in order as well.
The lacking of 'natural affection' and 'gratitude' and 'kindness' has got to stop folks.
We need a reformation first then a revival! Revival without reformation is toast out the gate!

We are all firstborn of the flesh, and also have a sin nature working in us because of Adams original sin. Romans 5:12 “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”

This is how the
serpent corrupted God’s image in Adam by corrupting the ways of man to follow after the serpent’s desire.
Genesis 4:7 “If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.” This desire of the serpent is to serve the lusts of the flesh, and those who are of his spirit think like a serpent, or have the mind of the flesh. (carnally minded)

But those who are of God the Fathers
seed (womans seed) do mind the things of the Spirit of God, or do God’s will, or desire. The 2 seeds of flesh and Spirit are first shown here. Genesis 3:14-15 “And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
[SUP]15 [/SUP]And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” (“it” is the spirit of a lie)

This enmity between God’s
Spirit (Spirit of Truth) and the spirit working in man (spirit of a lie) or of the flesh is shown here.
Genesis 6:3 “And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. (hundred twenty= 666)

But Jesus Christ came to destroy the body of
sin and the works of the Devil. And to remove that enmity, or the spirit of the fleshy mind in man, and also give man a new Spirit and new mind in order to serve Gods will.

Because these 2 minds (
flesh/ Spirit) are contrary to one another, just as the natural man has a mind of the flesh (carnally minded) and cannot understand the spiritual things of God.
1 Corinthians 2:14 “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

The only way to resolve this issue of being
carnally minded, and of that wicked seed and generation is to be born again and made a new man in Christ. Jesus said in
John 3:6 “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Now pay close attention to what Jesus says here in John 3:3 “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

This means the man who is not born again will not see, or understand the many mysteries of the kingdom spoken of in the law and prophets. The reason being is the kingdom of God does not dwell in Him by the Holy Ghost. Jesus said in
Mark 4:11 “And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:”

This is why the world, and even those Christians who are still yet
carnal cannot see or hear the many mysteries spoken by the Spirit of God in the law and prophets. And these 2 seeds, and these 2 minds, or ways of thinking strive against one another.

This is why those who are of the
world, and of the flesh, hate those who are of the Spirit.
Galatians 4:29 “But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.” This persecution was first shown in the firstborn Cain killing Abel; notice Cain was of that Wicked seed in 1 John 3:12 “Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.”

This is the
wicked and adulterous generation Jesus was talking about in
Matthew 16:4 and also in Matthew 12:45. And because they are of the serpents seed both John the Baptist and Jesus referred to them as a generation of vipers, and serpents in Matthew 23:33 “Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?” These are those who are yet in the flesh, and do the lusts of their father the devil, they are the seed of evil doers.

This whole world is under this condition
1 John 5:19 “And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.”

And the only remedy for this condition is either destruction, or for a person to come to the cross of Christ and be born again by faith in God’s spiritual
seed of promise, and be made a new creature in Christ by His Holy Spirit. Then and only then will the covering vail of the flesh be removed from your mind, and your eyes be anointed so that they can see the Kingdom of God that is within you.

Yes, do not build again your righteousness by law keeping (self-righteousness), which false notion Christ came to destroy through faith as the only means of righteousness/justification.

To return to law keeping for righteousness again makes you a transgressor of the law again.

yes, violet, we must totally surrender, but our Father also requires us to acknowledge our 'past-mistakes'
in order to 'put-them-away' and to go on and put on our new clothes in order to become the 'new-man'
that only wants to please and serve in newness and thankfulness.

Nice strawman. But my thread did not mention anything about "self righteousness", nice try though. :)

Yeah, I know. . .why not. .because that is what Paul is talking about in the passage, righteousness/justification by the law, which is self-righteousness

If it's this verse here your talking about, the context is about those who sought to be justified by Christ (without the law) are still not to be found as sinners. Because Christ is not the minister of sin, but of righteousness. :)

v.18 - I make myself a transgressor if I put myself back under the law (because I can't keep the law); i.e., build again the things (self-righteousness, by self law keeping) which I destroyed when I died to the law.
