I'm out of things I can paint. I'm a lot better at painting actual objects than pictures of objects. I'm not allowed to improve anything else that doesn't belong to me (by "request" of the owner of the house, who told me I don't Have to put the cabinet doors back on, but that maaaaaaybe I should ask first next time. She's totally right, I should have asked).

Apparently she is of the "We don't need no stinkin doors!" school of housekeeping.

Listening to music from a long time ago (okay, so it was like 3 years ago, but that's forever to me).
Virus seems to be gone (I'm not getting insane amounts of pop ups and a slow computer anymore, guess Norton actually helped).
Only thing that would've made today the best, was if my body would quit doing whatever it's doing, and let me hold my baby already.

I was actually going to talk to "spider-man" about fixing my computer, but I realized the problem was gone already.

It's time to go shopping for dinner... Maybe that will cause something to happen with this baby.... I'm being a pessimist now though, and I'm going to say it probably won't.

Pretty slow day today. I haven't really done as much, yesterday was pretty much my burst of energy day.

There are few things more annoying to me than taking the time to post my best advice in someone's thread and then having that person ignore it and instead respond to all the antagonizing comments other have made. Not sure if that's my problem with wanting to be acknowledged and validated as wise / smart or other people's problem of caring more about being seen to be right than actually wanting to solve a problem.

In other news, I went to the bakery and got a pretzel and a hamburger bun (and there are macaroni noodles in the cupboard for the long anticipated macaroni and cheese). Let the birthday carbulgence begin.

(carbulgence- a word that is a combination of carb, bulge, and indulgence soon to officially enter the English language with the definition of : a major cheat on a low carb diet that occurs when a person indulges in so many carbs that they start to get some of their undesirable bulges back).

bacon and eggs first egg.jpg

Went and bought some obnoxiously yellow solid glass for the yolks and have officially begun my multimedia project with an art buddy at the studio. He made three wonderful skillets to frame my bacon and eggs design. This is a fun collaboration! This egg is going to be the most difficult cut, so I got that out of the way first - should finish with at least one of them this weekend!

opinions requested: should I use a textured gray for the bottom of the skillet that has not food on it, or an opaque solid black? I have both in stock.

Since the inside of the skillet (from what I see in the picture) is also grey, I would say go for the opaque solid black. Or, if you can - try a silver base. :)

Happy working on this project! Post the pictures once it is completed! :D

Is it "gray" or "grey"? Hmmmm... I wonder....

I have no idea if it's gray or grey. I have seen both, and I use both...

The grey would be a closer match for the ceramic interior of the skillet, but there is really no need to do so. My original intent was to do the black opaque. I think since I have three skillets, I will do at least one of each and see which effect I like better (and will post both).

Thanks for responding, Chris!

That is turning out really cool, Steve!! I'd go with the black for some nice contrast.
