Now you KNOW that is only the HUMAN BODY that dies, WHILE THE HUMAN SPIRIT DEPARTS and goes to either Hades to be tormented or Heaven to be with our LORD! Either way the human spirit DOES NOT DIE.
Psalm 146:4 (NKJV)
[SUP]
4 [/SUP]
His spirit departs, he returns to his earth; In that very day his plans perish.
Luke 16:19-31 (NKJV)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] "There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day.
[SUP]20 [/SUP] But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, {Jesus NEVER gave names to parable characters, indicating this is a true story.}
[SUP]21 [/SUP] desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
[SUP]22 [/SUP] So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham's bosom. {It was common place in the Jewish culture to refer to one walking close to another's side as walking at or in His bosom. HCSB words it "to Abraham's side."} The rich man also died and was buried.
[SUP]23 [/SUP] And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. {At his side. NOW NOTICE THEY CARRY ON AN IN DEPTH CONVERSATION.}
[SUP]24 [/SUP] Then he cried and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.'
[SUP]25 [/SUP] But Abraham said, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented.
[SUP]26 [/SUP] And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.'
[SUP]27 [/SUP] Then he said, 'I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father's house,
[SUP]28 [/SUP] for I have five brothers {The exact number of brothers would not be relevant if this was only a parable. However because it is a true story, it is very relevant. In fact it is the reason JESUS did not name the rich man, because at least one if not all 5 brothers were standing there listening to Jesus. Out of courtesy, Jesus did not name the rich man, which would have embarrassed the brothers.} , that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.'
[SUP]29 [/SUP] Abraham said to him, 'They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.'
[SUP]30 [/SUP] And he said, 'No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.'
[SUP]31 [/SUP] But he said to him, 'If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.' "
Revelation 6:9-11 (HCSB)
[SUP]
9 [/SUP] When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the people slaughtered because of God’s word and the testimony they had.
[SUP]
10 [/SUP]
They cried out with a loud voice: “Lord, the One who is holy and true, how long until You judge and avenge our blood from those who live on the earth?”
[SUP]
11 [/SUP] So
a white robe was given to each of them, and they were told to rest a little while longer until ⌊the totally agree with this!!!!
number⌋ would be completed ⌊of⌋ their fellow slaves and their brothers, who were going to be killed just as they had been.
Revelation 7:13-15 (HCSB)
[SUP]
13 [/SUP] Then one of the elders asked me, “Who are
these people robed in white, and where did they come from?”
[SUP]
14 [/SUP] I said to him, “Sir, you know.” Then he told me: These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
[SUP]
15 [/SUP] For this reason they are before the throne of God, and
they serve Him day and night in His sanctuary. The One seated on the throne will shelter them:
Revelation 20:4 (HCSB)
[SUP]
4 [/SUP] Then I saw thrones, and people seated on them who were given authority to judge.
⌊I⌋ also ⌊saw⌋ the people who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of God’s word, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and who had not accepted the mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with the Messiah for 1,000 years.
{NOTE: Their spirits are alive and functioning in heaven, and near the end of this verse in Chapter 20, they are finally reunited with their bodies in resurrection. SLEEPING IN THE GRAVE UNTIL THE RESURRECTION IS A TOTALLY FALSE DOCTRINE.}
