I'd say they are real, but unlikely to, eh, happen

what makes you think you are under a spell?

Anything is certainly real enough to the person who perceives they are.

To be honest, I dont know. I still recall that my great grandma who was still with us back whenever I was a kid was sure that spells and all sorts of evil existed, but that there was medicine. Now, my great grandma was a churchgoer, but she was not raised in a setting most people are, so she would do sorta different stuff if a spell or other evils were threatening. She and my grandma, not her daughter, but my granny from Scandinavia, she felt the same way, and it was allmost a bit scary whenever their faces were growing dark and they knew evil was present. Nobody dared questioning them cause folks believed them to know more than others. Pretty scary stuff.

Spells would fall under magic, which falls under occult, which falls under demons. I would tend to think of a 'spell' as a deception to keep occultists in belief than anything real. To me belief in spells falls more into superstition than biblical truth.

Yes, "spells" certainly are real!

However, it is impossible for one to be put on to a born again Christian because of the great divine protection God has put around His dear children. Numb 23v23

Have a look at This and This...

At times it feels like it's hard to control my thoughts. It's hard to focus and I feel silly. I often find myself laughing at things I wouldnt usually laugh at and sometimes I feel like being really evil. All of this happened after being around a certain someone.

You could be under demonic oppression...your gonna have to do a bible study on how demons can oppress you...

Just a question here, you haven't dabble in spells, tarot cards or wicca ritual have you?

If you haven't, I suggest you mediate over the Word, pray, fasting and repent.

Your gonna have to do a study on who you are in Christ and that our battle is against principalities and powers. Dont waste time on studing demons forget them learn whats available to you now through Christ.

JB if were so protected why do we need to put on the armour? Your only protected when you know who you are in Christ.

Finding out how demons operate is not a waste of time...their very real. It also can be hard to differentiate a demonic attack vs a mental problem.

Spells are real because God says in the OT that we must stay away from sorcery and those kind of things. The devil is real and so is his power. If you're a born again Christian, you can't be under a spell, we are made free of this world and everything evil. If you do have the feeling that Satan is trying to scare you or cause you to think you are under a spell, then just pray to the Lord and ask Him to protect you from him. He is infinitely more powerful than Satan, don't forget that. You can also COMMAND in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to that devil to flee from you. Hope this helps for you.

I can relate. Keep your head up, you live in a country where the majority of the population is still Christian. So, go out and look for them! :) I'm sure you can trust Christians.
