At my work, people who are interested in going to Asia for long-term come and join an internship for a year at our work. A girl who's already spent a year in Asia decided to do long-term work there and joined our internship program. She was away for a couple of weeks in order to raise some funds for her trip for next year. As she came into the office today to start the internship, she saw me at my desk. She ran up to me and said, "Katie! I've missed you!" We hugged, I asked her how she's been, how support raising is going, how she's feeling emotionally, etc. etc. She answers all of the questions, and she smiles at me and says, "I have something for you," and she proceeds to pull this flower out from behind her back. She apparently saw it and thought of me. It is now on my desk at the office until it eventually dies haha.

But, it was the sweetest thing ever. :)

Does your breakfast really look like that? Then again what is that red stuff?
Cooked a tad more (don't like my yolks too runny), but yes - the red stuff is chili powder.

I went over to my friend's house last night to visit their new baby. She is absolutely adorable.

Are U the type of person who keeps flowers inside a book, for years?

I just received this in my mailbox. I am beyond excited. I am all about self-development and self-growth. I am drawn to intelligence and have a really fun time just digging deeper into things. I love the minds of people, I love leadership, I love people and so I am building my library so I can develop those desires. I have always wanted to read this book so I purchased it and it's going to be great :) I have high hopes!
I hope a book like this may serve to know and love them more ("... I love the minds of people...")

Thanks, but nah... I'm good... whenever I want a picture taken, I just ask a friend to do it for me... the selfies I tried to take came out so weird that I just had to get rid of them... they were nightmare material...

And now I'm getting grumpy cause my lunch refuses to arrive.... :(

Hungry....

Actually, I have one flower in an old journal. It was my day of committing my life to Christ after being a very broken atheist and I taped this flower in my journal eleven years ago that very same day. But I don't put flowers in books. It was just a very special day to me and I decided to go with it.
