Maybe I'm not far enough down the road of Christianity yet. Maybe I have too many old ways to shake off. But at this moment in time, I have absolutely no pity whatsoever.
Whoa whoa!

Whoa!

You're born again?

Already?

Way cool!

Welcome to the family, bro!

This seems like as good a topic as any to bring up a great Sam Harris quote from "Letters to a Christian Nation":

"Every devout Muslim has the same reasons for being a Muslim that you have for being a Christian. And yet you do not find their reasons compelling....Why don't you lose any sleep over whether to convert to Islam? Can you prove that Allah is not the one, true God? Can you prove that the archangel Gabriel did not visit Muhammad in his cave? Of course not. But you need not prove any of these things to reject the beliefs of Muslims as absurd. The burden is upon them to prove that their beliefs about God and Muhammad are valid. They have not done this. They cannot do this....The truth is, you know exactly what it is like to be an atheist with respect to the beliefs of Muslims. Isn't it obvious Muslims are fooling themselves? Isn't it obvious that anyone who thinks that the Koran is the perfect word of the creator of the universe has not read the book critically?...Understand that the way you view Islam is precisely the way devout Muslims view Christianity. And it is the way I view all religions."
Wow! And he got paid for that? Why is it so easy to sell hogwash? And why do you buy the hogwash?

Welcome to CC Bauhous! Please forgive all these people for bring so nasty to you. I am sure you are on the path, looking for truth!

I want you to know that Jesus is the truth. And not just the truth, but the way, the truth and the life. Jesus says no one comes to the Father, but by him.

So I pray you will come to know Isa as more than just s perfect man, but as Lord and Saviour, and that he is God!
You may want to actually check out his path. It's easy to see what he's been doing since he joined. It's certainly not looking for truth.

I think we'll be eating and drinking on the New Heavens and the New Earth. We won't need to, but I think we will, as it's just another way to enjoy God's Creation and to worship Him. Yes, food is about relationship, but it's also tangible in the Bible. It's about bringing people together, while nourishing them. It's not purely a spiritual thing. God is very much concerned with the physical realm too.

Some of the funniest remarks I've heard on Muslim videos relate to Jesus being God and defecating. They find it absurd. I am not sure how they fail to realize that Jesus was both God and man, and as man he had human needs.

It's kind of funny to listen to those videos.

Two major points I like to bring up to Muslims are how the Trinity doctrine demonstrates how God's essential character is love, as the three Persons have lived in community since eternity, and how the Incarnation and crucifixion demonstrates God's love for mankind.

Reason for yourself which one seems real to you. Simply compare the two Heavens in the books, and see what you get.

Quran's Paradise talks about activities such as eating and drinking wine, being rich and served by many servants, getting numerous female companions for males and other such pleasures.

The Bible, however, expounds in its glimpses that in Heaven we will be "like angels" and thus not getting married at all, that we will "see God as He is"/see His face (relationship), be "manifested as sons of God" (angelic nature), that Heaven is "not eating and drinking, but joy in the Holy Ghost", that God is preparing unimaginable-to-man things for those that love Him (relationship), oneness in spirit (relationship), constant ongoing prayer of saints in Heaven, voices crying to God for justice, worshiping and serving GOD (in contrast to men being served in Quran).

God also being spirit Himself, reason for yourself, which heaven of these two seems more like THE Heaven to YOU? Which one looks in comparison to be invented by the wishful thinking of man, aka satan's impostership? Honestly now...

Tangible descriptions follow Quran Heaven, versus strong spiritual/holiness, intangible descriptions that follow Bible Heaven. Muslim paradise is simply like, there will be plenty of water in there. That's it. Just what someone living in the desert in the 5th century would like to hear. Muslim paradise will have milk, water and wine. Sounds good, until you compare it to the Bible and find that these drinks are completely void of spiritual meaning in Quran. It's all only for drinks and merriness.

When there is drink or food described in the Bible, it's typically a parable and the spiritual meanings are expounded in New Testament (the reveal). In the Bible, water is the Gospel of Jesus; wine is the righteous teachings of Jesus, and so on. Observe how the Bible refers to food and drink, from milk to manna, for the purpose to illustrate receiving the words, instructions and life from God, it's all about relationship and fellowship with God and tied with meanings which reiterate themselves consistently throughout the whole of the Bible. We are down here because man fell off the life-giving fellowship with God. But Quran simply ends at eating and drinking.

I could write much more, but this is just what made kinda the heaviest impression on me when I was reading Quran in the past.

God bless
'As it is written';

"That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the SPIRIT is spirit."

"The God of this world have blinded the minds of unbelievers."

Quran's picture of paradise is earthly and it is the paradise of satan, the pattern of this world, blinding the minds of unbelievers. It is like men having a paradise vacation in Bahamas and with ten virgins serving and entertaining them. This fits the saying of JESUS, 'that which is born of the flesh is flesh'.

HOLY BIBLE's paradise is Heaven itself, the kingdom of the Living GOD. This also fits the saying of JESUS in continue, 'and that which is born of the SPIRIT in spirit'.

Thank you and GOD bless you in the name of LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Allah was a Moon God who had a wife. The crescent and star represents them. The name Allah is not the Arabic word for God.

So the creation of Allah was the attempt to monotheise the desert 'gods', including the moon 'god', Sin? Isn't that the same false god that Abram and his father Terah worshipped, prior to Abram being called out of Ur of the Chaldeans? Wow.

Yeah, but eternity! Do you think we're still physical then?

IDK. I have just been assuming spiritual beings, because I can't imagine a physical body lasting forever. This one started degrading on my 41st birthday.

On the other hand, food! Surely there are raspberries and chocolate in heaven.

(I also don't get why we get a new earth if God's in heaven still. I'm really looking forward to seeing him, hearing him, smelling him -- I bet he smells like frankincense and the best quality of olive oil -- and feeling him nonstop.)

(Anyone else noticing the OP never returned to this post? He's posted other stuff, but didn't come back to this one where he was going to prove we're all wrong.)

Yes. I do think we'll have physical bodies on the New Heaven and the New Earth. The Bible talks about having glorified new bodies. We're not going to be floating spirits or whatever. That's not biblical, that's Gnosticism or Eastern Mysticism. Heaven will come to a New Earth. So we'll live with Christ for all eternity on the New Heavens and the New Earth. In short, the New Universe of Awesomeness!

I wasn't thinking no-see-'em bodies. I was thinking something...well kind of like the aliens in Cocoon but without normal human eyes. lol

LOL

Yeah, I see that.

But I'm thinking no way of getting a sunburn or dry skin, no sweat, no need for clothes, no need to worry about our hair, eyebrows, shape, they float, so no worries about compressed spines, or broken limbs, all kind of uniformed so no need or desire to try to be different/special/better-than, no dirty fingernails, no need to bathe, no need to blow our nose or get wax out of our ears... and I can keep going. lol

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus

Bahous, I think it is admirable that you stand up for what you believe in. If you are in fact, out of love trying to teach us what is truth, than I respect your intentions. However, once you know truth and have clearly seen it as a "born again" believer has, than trying to convince them otherwise is futile. It is like a five year old trying to convince an adult that Santa Claus is real, or a blind man trying to tell a seeing man they are going the wrong way. Islam does worship a god, but it is not the Most High God. They are not the same. Our Bible has given us many prophecies and they are unfolding. Soon destruction will be upon the earth. There is only One that will save, I hope you realize before it is too late that it is Yeshua, the Son of the Most High. He opened our eyes and causes us to see truth. If you are a seeker of truth, then you too will come to the same place we are, hopefully sooner than later. May God Almighty light your path and help you to see truth.

Yes, He paid the price for our sins. Praise the LORD!

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
