Introspect

For a while now, since I've been drawing closer to Christ in my daily life, my dreams are really being attacked. I know it's in my mind, and not willing on my part, but I realize I can't make the dreams stop on my own. Recently, in my dreams I partake in sinful things that I am no longer a part of in my life. I know this is the enemy's way of attacking me when I am not aware or in control of what is in my mind, but I am sick and tired of it. I find myself waking up in a state of mind I do not want to be in. I ask forgiveness for what I do in my dreams. In the Name of Jesus Christ, I pray the Lord renews my mind to be completely in His will at ALL times. I know I can't control what i dream, but I'm so sick of the things I dream about at times. Thank you for anyone willing to lift this up in prayer for me. God Bless you ALL!

I agree with you in prayer for this thing to stop in Jesus Holy name, Amen..

also I suggest you come to prayer room or go to someone who is a prayer warrior, who knows who this foul and nclean spirit is. or you can just rebuked the devil yourself in the name of Jesus... we are in the prayer room almost every day.. come by and we can kick his behind together.. for one can send a thousnd to flee but two ten thousand...Proverbs.

I pray before going to sleep for God to take charge of my dreams and that Satan is bound from any influence on them. The enemy is sneaky and knows dreams are those things we cannot control, but we can control them-just don't act on them or let it bother you and he will get tired of trying. God bless you

Introspect, I honestly sympathize with you, and your situation. Sometimes, I have really freaky dreams and wake up thinking, "What?!"

I pray right now that God gives you the strength, peace, faith, and hope that you need, and also that He overrules the devil's influence in your dream state. I pray that Jesus ministers to you as you sleep, and comforts you with His grace and love so you will sleep wonderfully. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Greater is He who resides in you, than he who is in the world...remember that.

I don't see why you should ask for forgiveness of what you did in your dreams, why would I bother to have a sense of guilt for something which I didn't even do? hope you are having better ones now...

Because dreams like that, are things we think of in our mind, weather we realize it or not. We may not mean to, but we do it. He's completely right in repenting for it.

You know that is very interesting because I somtimes struggle with the same thing. I always pray before I go to bed and ask God to not let the devil take control of my dreams and what is amazing is I am often able to resist temptation in my dreams.

It best two fast because the human part of you my be out of control that why jesus instructed us to fast and pray so that we may walk accroding to the spirit of god. So fasting helps bring our flesh under the subjection of christ so he may diret our thoughts, also not lust after the oppsite sex helps also. Gal 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. Matt 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Satan is a evil bugger. He likes to get to you where you think you cannot fight back.
I learned long ago that when he tryed to get to me that you can respond to your dreams.
You have a good start, praying before you sleep, but you can rebuke satan in your sleep.
I will keep you in my prayers for protection and the will to tell him to get lost, in the name of Jesus Our Lord and Savior.
God bless, pickles

I appreciate the replies and prayers. I know I will come out victorious through Christ. Thank you All, and God Bless!

I have had dreams of things I have never thought of, and of places I have never been, or are made up in my mind, so this is not true. The bible does not tell us to repent for things that happened in our dreams, why? CAUSE THEY NEVER HAPPENED! But if you want to create more guilt trips for your conscience, that's fine, great part of religion is about creating ways to make you feel guilty about something....

Just wanted to say my prayers have already been answered.

And brother, it wasn't that I was placing guilt on myself, the repentance was for the mindset I would wake up in. Guilt and things like that are from the enemy. Also, I don't classify my mighty Lord and Savior as "religion". I pray you may come to have a more personal relationship with Jesus Christ, The Light of the world. May God abundantly Bless you...

Well I'll pray for you that your dreams aren't sinful again. What I do before I go to bed is say I lose all dreams that are not from you and bind the ones that are, it always works. God bless

What if you listen to Christian music as you sleep or put on a religious channel so preaching is going on while you are sleeping. Maybe that will help.

I surely did not mean I classify God as Religion either.... I was hoping you got my point, religion though, in many ways has a way to seed guilt in people... you think the enemy as you call it, doesn't use religion itself to do that?

and...

''I pray you may come to have a more personal relationship with Jesus Christ''

It's statements like these which make people misunderstand God. How do you know if I do or don't have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ? First of all, if you read carefully, I wasn't classifying God as religion, but that is, my friend, what many people do now days, and please, don't pray for things you aren't sure of, it is a very nasty way of judging somebody.

when you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. Proverbs 3:24

When I would go to bed afraid this verse helped me. You are not in control of what your mind does while sleeping. You should not feel guilty, but questioning where these dreams are coming from is definitely good. Satan loves to make us feel guilty, especially over things we have no control over. I will pray for you, and I hope this verse helps you. Remember YOU HAVE NO CONTROL OVER YOUR DREAMS. God knows what is in your heart! God bless.

I'm sorry you took it like that, I wasn't trying to place any sort of judgment. I misunderstood what you were saying, my apologies. Thanks for the replies and prayers.

Reoccuring nightmares, esp. about sin can be demonic, I've seen this before. What really makes me think this is demonic is you mentioned that these dreams started right after you became a christian. Demons often try to bring torment into the lives of those who are "traders" and reject them for JESUS. Im speaking from me own personnal experiences as well as others. I have a deliverance ministry and I would be willing to discuss this if you are willing. I also would suspect you may have had some trauma in your childhood (emotional abuse, sexual abuse, physical abuseetc, neglect/rejection, etc). This abuse maybe a singel event or over time.
