Hey WW - is Jason playing the victim card yet?

He does that when he's losing a debate. :D
How do we know you are not lying if you claim to be a sinning saint? Trust is earned by a person's good character.

You do err not knowing the Scriptures.

2 John 1:9-10.
You still think God wrote the KJV, eh?

The definition of doctrine that I was referring to previously, is as it relates to the Church. If we simply consider "doctrine" and "teaching" to be synonymous, then the only doctrine (or teaching) presented by way of the Bible is the teaching of Jesus, which can be summed:

Romans 6:23New International Version (NIV)

23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[a] Christ Jesus our Lord.

Everything, as it relates to doctrine, was created by man.

I think it could do you good to reflect on the word "gift" above -- do you know the meaning?

Charisma.

No. You and others are sowing discord. I am reproving the unfruitful works of darkness.
For the record, this is my favorite quote by Ja-Troll-son.

I think you should leave the reproving up to God;

Proverbs 3New International Version (NIV)

Wisdom Bestows Well-Being

3 My son, do not forget my teaching,
but keep my commands in your heart,
2 for they will prolong your life many years
and bring you peace and prosperity.

3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 Then you will win favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man.

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.[a]

7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;fear the Lord and shun evil.
8 This will bring health to your body
and nourishment to your bones.

9 Honor the Lord with your wealth,
with the firstfruits of all your crops;
10 then your barns will be filled to overflowing,
and your vats will brim over with new wine.

11 My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline,
and do not resent his rebuke,
12 because the Lord disciplines those he loves,
as a father the son he delights in.[b]

13 Blessed are those who find wisdom,
those who gain understanding,
14 for she is more profitable than silver
and yields better returns than gold.
15 She is more precious than rubies;
nothing you desire can compare with her.
16 Long life is in her right hand;
in her left hand are riches and honor.
17 Her ways are pleasant ways,
and all her paths are peace.
18 She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her;
those who hold her fast will be blessed.

19 By wisdom the Lord laid the earth’s foundations,
by understanding he set the heavens in place;
20 by his knowledge the watery depths were divided,
and the clouds let drop the dew.

21 My son, do not let wisdom and understanding out of your sight,
preserve sound judgment and discretion;
22 they will be life for you,
an ornament to grace your neck.
23 Then you will go on your way in safety,
and your foot will not stumble.
24 When you lie down, you will not be afraid;
when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.
25 Have no fear of sudden disaster
or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked,
26 for the Lord will be at your side
and will keep your foot from being snared.

27 Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
when it is in your power to act.
28 Do not say to your neighbor,
“Come back tomorrow and I’ll give it to you”—
when you already have it with you.
29 Do not plot harm against your neighbor,
who lives trustfully near you.
30 Do not accuse anyone for no reason—
when they have done you no harm.

31 Do not envy the violent
or choose any of their ways.

32 For the Lord detests the perverse
but takes the upright into his confidence.
33 The Lord’s curse is on the house of the wicked,
but he blesses the home of the righteous.
34 He mocks proud mockers
but shows favor to the humble and oppressed.
35 The wise inherit honor,
but fools get only shame.

I quoted Ephesians 5:11. It appears you unaware of the verse.

What is this -- are you actually attempting to step down from your throne of self-righteousness?
I see your not really interested in discussing the thread topic but you are only interested in tearing me and others down. Please stay on topic with the thread. This is not an inquisition involving me.

One day you will humble yourself, Jason, or life will.

Then you will preach the grace and truth of the gospel of Jesus

Not the canons of jason.

Seems there are a couple of people on here that hammer the truth out on their own anvil of lies while rejecting verb tense, context, definitions of words and the common sense that God gave a goose..........for example....They will say one was saved and then lost when Jesus states clearly that he never KNEW THEM...which means they could not have been saved and then lost it.....their very words and belief that they push makes Christ out to be a liar! This shows they have no ability to logically reason the word of God and are only interested in pushing their dogma and agendas while rejecting obvious truth that contradicts their beliefs......unwilling to be open to learning and instruction while claiming to back everything with scripture....nothing but circular reasoning and a lack of understanding on their part!

Now this is to no one in particular but to everyone involved in this thread. I even asked myself this question before I am now typing it.

"How did we come to Christ in the first place?"

Did we come to Christ because we decided it was a good idea? Did we read something and decided we wanted to know Christ? Or did the Holy Spirit apart from anything we did compel us to come to Christ? This is not off topic but actually leads to the subject of OSAS.

Now please don't just answer this without thought. Think about it a bit and pray to God for understanding of this. This is not a trick question. And I am not "goading" anyone into what I think may be a false answer. This is a serious thought and one not to be taken lightly.

And yes I will give my own answer but I will not answer in a way to attack anyone. This one question will lead to why we each have a certain belief for or against OSAS. it will help us each understand better where each other's view comes from.

Re-read your quote as you just lied.....I came across a post the other day where someone made a comment about hearing what I had to say on the subject and you mouthed me behind my back, told them you understood what they were confused and made mouthy comments about what I believe and teach.....

I as well as many have quoted verbatim many verses that prove your theology false and you like Jason listen to no one but your own misguided erroneous interpretations....Just like the Matthew verses you twisted out of context yesterday...saying they LOST their salvation and denying that Jesus said verbatim he NEVER KNEW THEM which means they were NEVER SAVED to begin with.....your very stance makes Christ out to be a liar and your too blind and full of pride to acknowledge your wrong!
They brought you up in the discussion, not me, and said if you were around you would give the truth in those scriptures.
I told them the truth that me and you have already had discussions and you have misused a number of scriptures in our debates, as you still are doing even though by scripture interpreting scripture proves your stance to be wrong.

I was not sarcastic, call you names, belittle you, or even condemn you in my response, so trying to flip this around to say I lied is false and a way to try and wiggle out and take the focus off your own issues in the faith. There is a big difference in saying mouthy comments and being honest and saying to another I have already had discussions on this issue with a person they brought up.

By your understanding you have quoted scriptures to prove me wrong, and those few others that you speak of come from the same OSAS background as well that you speak on, so their understanding and misuse of scripture would be the same also.

Matthew 10:22, and Matthew 7:21-23 is not taking out of context and Hebrews 10:36 proves this.

Jesus telling them He never knew them is in context to Matthew 10:33, 25:31-46, that if you deny Him before others He will deny you before the Father. In Matthew 25 Jesus says one way to deny Him is by denying others help who are in need, showing that denying Him runs deeper then just simply unbelief.

So my stance does not make Jesus out to be a liar because He did exactly to those in Matthew 7 what He said He would do if you deny Him by your actions. (Titus 1:16)

Professing Jesus as your Lord is not enough if your actions do not show it as well !!!

People like Jason and Kenneth are habitual sinners. They sin every day - just like the rest of us. They love to claim that if one continues in sin, they aren't really saved and won't make it to heaven.

Well, by their own standards, they are lost.

False allegations are not becoming of a Christian, as no I do not sin everyday nor does the bible say we will continue to be that sinful.

Do we still backslide and sin here or there? Yes we do but sinning every single day I do not do, and you do not know me to make that claim. The word of God does not agree or support a sin everyday nature, as that shows that one is not born again in the Spirit. For if the Holy Spirit abides in you you would keep His commandments, and the fruits will give you self-control and lead you away from sins grasp on your life.

They followed Paul's instruction to kick him out. Nowhere did I ever believe that he gave him the actual boot physically in person. You like to twist around things that I say that are obvious.
Now your just misrepresenting the facts which makes you a ?????? Your words were obvious and you said exactly what you believe and mean.....

As for your statement about trolls: The Word of God tells us to speak full of grace seasoned with salt. How exactly are you doing that by still calling me a troll and saying I am worse than an enemy. How is that even a New Testament teaching?

DUDE, your nothing but a joke...I have seen you on numerous occasions use those verses to try and prove one can lose salvation....everybody one here can see how you twist the scriptures and your own words when you get nailed.......keep on deceiving yourself in pride.....you will be abased in due time!

If you are an OSAS Proponent, then I have some questions for you that I would like answered. It appears the problem here on the forums is that many say that they are not in support of "sin" or in doing evil or in "Easy believism." Hopefully answering these questions will help us to understand where you are coming from.

Question #1. Can you be out of fellowship and still be saved?
(If you say "yes", then how is that not a condoning of sin? If you say "no", do you realize that others here do say, "yes" to this type of question? Why are they not corrected or reproved?)

Question #2. Can you die in unrepentant sin (like lying, lusting, and hating) and still be saved?
(If you say "yes", how is that not a condoning of sin?).

Question #3. Was not the first lie in the Garden by the devil saying that Eve will not die similar to the OSAS proponent today saying they will not die?
(If you disagree, please explain why).

Question #4. How is saying you cannot stop sinning in line with Jesus telling the woman caught in the act of adultery, to: "Sin no more."?

Question #5. How can all future sin be forgiven you if you have to confess sin in order to be forgiven of sin?
(Where in the 1st epistle of John does it specifically state that 1 John 1:9 is not dealing with salvation?)

Question #6. Do you believe the good fruit of the believer is from God or of the believer?
(If you believe it is from God and another believer believes the same thing, then how can you accuse them of Works Salvationism when they do not believe that?).

Question #7. What is better? To do good or to do evil? Do you think God wants us to live Holy as an example of being good?

Question #8. How do you uphold goodness or morality with your belief in OSAS? Do you believe the Prodigal Son was still saved when he went Prodigal?

Question #9. How can God being our Father condone his children to sin if you would not condone or allow your child to sin?

Question #10. How can a believer be truly born again, changed, and different if they are not really changed and different from the world?
One Question you failed to ask, which i believe is the most evident question that proves OSAS can't possibly be True is:

If once you are Saved, your name is written in the Book of Life and can't never be removed, why are there Scriptures which plainly teach a persons name can be removed from the Book of Life?

The mere fact that Scriptures teach a name once written in the Book of Life, can be blotted out of it. is ABSOLUTE PROOF, that Once Saved Always Saved, can't possibly be True.

Same line of questioning would be. Is it True once you are SAVED, your name is written in the Book of Life? Most know the answer to be TRUE. Then ask those who believe OSAS to explain how a person is blotted out of the Book of Life, ask them "Wasn't that persons name written in the Book prior, wasn't that person SAVED, thereby being written in the Book of Life, how then are they now blotted out of it?

People have been wearing those blinders for so long, they don't know the Truth, nor are they willing to learn the Truth, they are so use to the blinders.
