when my sister was in first grade, she hid on top of the swing set or monkey bars because the boys were chasing her and trying to kiss her.....
I was too busy competing with another kid at math.....that was crazy and trying to catch bigfoot.

well, i have theories as to what happened. as a kid, i always loved helping others. in middle school, others noticed i always loved helping, and they took advantage of my friendship. as a result, i kept people at a distance.

i'm trying to return to the kid again.

It is a little, but you are trying to protect yourself from being hurt, and that is understandable, (Once bitten, twice shy, as the saying goes) and even prudent, since we are to guard our hearts. Trust God. :)

I survived yet another day taking my mom out driving again. It is such a hard cocept to grasp having to take a parent who lost their license due to being medically suspended and taking them for a drive.

She had a seizure and drove the car through the ditch and into a field. Luckily she didn't hit anyone and that happened twice. So far she is doing better on her corners and she still struggles with weaving inside her lane.

Yeah I've developed MAJOR trust issues with both women and men. And it wasn't until my church launched Celebrate Recovery in February where I see God changing me. The men start their step study's next month, which is basically when you apply everything you learn in CR and go through the 12 steps. I have truly realized God can use each and everything to His glory. So JustAnotherUser, please don't give up. Because God is just going to do something awesome in your life one day. I know it for a fact! Just continue having faith.

You are a great daughter for doing that. I know some children, the only time
their parents see them, is when they want something.

Some parents do that too unfortunatey, and that's when you have to cut them out of your life... but neither here nor there.

i know the feels. recently, my relationship with God has gotten stronger, and a lot of hidden wounds are being healed. it's a process full of baby steps. through Holy Spirit, i've been able to overcome plenty of things. i still have a way to go, but in the name of Jesus, we're gonna get there :)

You are right, I know by what you have posted, your family life
should have been better. You are still young, and your mom is
not really that old, hopefully, you and her can work it out.

I'm blessed I had 2 God fearing, loving parents. We didn't have
the best, but we were loved and cared for. I made sure that my
son, and now my gran-kids get all the love they could ever hope
for.

No, I couldn't find bigfoot, but when I came back out of the woods behind the school with a bear next to me, everyone panicked, they didnt realize he was just yogi and looking for a picnic basket.
Yes, I won the math competition....I still dont know why we wanted to compete.

God knows what will happen. So I just gotta be willing to listen for when He puts me in that situation.

Will someone tell me im not pathetic.......my daughter and grandaughter left this morning for Oregon.......
And I miss them already.........I know its going to be a great adventure for them.......seeing that they will be
staying on the christmas tree farm......full of fun and adventure...nature and gardens.......
the country........but really.....how can they have fun without me......I am the fun........lol....
Im still trying to figure out how in the world are the babies and I gonna get to the beach without them.....
maybe if I down size......you know....just go with the basics.......nah......cant do it........
looks like jogoldie is going to be alittle cranky this week.........Lord help us all.....
