I am a stay at home mom, but I have two boys ages 4 and soon to be 3 year olds that keep me on my toes. We do many activities throughout the day to get them tired throughout the day that lets them go to sleep right away at 830pm bedtime. I am also a college student and do my studying during the night, I am insomniac so I tend to stay up until 2 in the morning or later. I try not to, but I cannot help it. Anyways, on Wednesday nights we go to our Bible study and the boys love it they always ask to go at 6 even if we need to wait another hour. Sunday mornings I teach my bible class to infants and toddlers, and then we go to service this is from 930am to noonish.
Recently, my church's preschool director called me to offer me a job as a teacher for a class of 11 -3 year olds. I accepted even though I had not been looking. My husband is bound to get laid off in one or two months, they are cutting down on jobs and well his job is going to be open and offered to those who have seniority. He is also a college student. We are both veterans, so as far as paying for education the GI bill does it. However, I feel in my heart and know that God placed this opportunity in my lap even though I was not looking for a job. How could I not take it? My plan was finish school, get my degree, and then job hunt in that time both boys would be in school and I could work. But now, my soon to be 3 year old will be going to my church's preschool while I work, my older boy was already attending preschool since last year. God is amazing, if I had not said yes I think I would have just slapped God on the face.
Anyways, point of this is how do you deal with the time you do things at home and not leave God behind?
I want to be a great Christian and continue to be involved at my church, they need me and I need them so I can continue to teach to children on Sundays and go on Wednesdays to extend my knowledge about God's word.
I want to be a great mother by continuing to take my boys to church on Wednesdays and Sundays. I want to spend time with them after they come home from school and I come home from work. With that incorporate dinner, laundry, and cleaning the house. Even though hubby helps out with those things, they still get be a workload.
I want to be a great wife and continue to help my hubby with his school. Spend alone time with him with our date nights, and be able to continue to have the healthy relationship we have. Working together.
I want to be a great student and continue with my high GPA to get the best I can out of education to be able to use my degree to further advance in helping children and adolescents.
I will be working Monday thru Friday from 8am to 5pm. Wednesday nights bible study is at 7pm. Sundays is the 930am to 12pm. The boys' bedtime is at 830pm except Wednesdays it goes to 9pm.
How do you make a routine that will function, keep you healthy by not stressing, by not forgetting God, by not forgetting your family or yourself? What do you guys do daily or weekly to those who lead a busy life?
Thank you for listening, I know there some good folks on here who've been doing this for years.
