Eenie meanie minie moe.
I can never decide between raspberries and chocolate, so my favorite food is brownies with raspberries in it.
Now, if you're talking meals and "good for you" food, six out of seven nights a week it's whatever hubby made for dinner. (On a rare occasion, his dinners are just so-so. Sometimes, when he's not up for cooking, he'll either have me make dinner -- which is always so-so lol -- or we'll order in, which is always blah compared to how he cooks. Actually, we're running out of places to order in. It seems like the main ingredient in restaurant food anymore is salt.) Sometimes it's just turkey burgers, but since he has to watch his salt intake, we have to watch our sugar intake, and we both can't deal with too much fat, he makes his own toppings -- usually combination of sauteed mushrooms, onions or scallions (depending on the time of the year) and tomatoes. On the grill makes the burgers better. And for sides he makes Greek Potatoes, because I'm really a French fry connoisseur, but French fries are greasy.
On one of his more artistic nights we might have sauteed shrimp with risotto (made from pearl barley) and roasted veggies. (Asparagus, broccoli, tomatoes, also depending on the season.) Or, one of my favorites -- usually reserved for my birthday -- chicken francaise. His meals make me so happy I tend to chew, bob, and grin while eating. Sort of my sit-down happy dance expression. lol
Today is our Sabbath-rest day, so it's likely he'll use the chicken or turkey he barbecued on the grill a few days ago in hot turkey/chicken sandwiches with the orzo-tomatoes salad he made earlier in the week. And for dessert, I tried to make a peach pie yesterday, but it didn't work out right. I peeled and sliced ten peaches, but that wasn't enough to fill the pie. So I had a pint of blueberries. So tonight we'll have peach-blueberry pie.
(I make desserts. He makes dinner. We fend for ourselves the rest of the day. lol)
