An old boss of mine told me about this Tom cat that they had on the farm. It was mean and would beat up the other cats and dogs so finally one day he'd had enough and caught the thing in an old gunny sack and neutered it right there on the spot with the old timer knife he had in his pocket. He said he didn't see it again for several weeks but it finally came home and was the nicest cat he ever had.
